We spent the night at 21c and had dinner at lockbox to celebrate a birthday. The service was fabulous and the food was delicious. I love that you can take your cocktail with you when you tour the art gallery. Highly recommend it!

My husband and I had brunch on New Year's Day here and both enjoyed it very much. He had eggs benedict served on a biscuit and loved it. I had the chicken and waffles which was also very good. The bar service was a little slow at first, but I went with the $15 bottomless mimosa and wasn't disappointed!

We went with a group of 8 for NYE dinner. We were seated on time — place was not very busy. We loved the food but disappointed in our server, Devon. She was not attentive, at times almost absent. She took one couples appetizer order than disappeared. She returned to the table and asked if we were ready to order — no, we wanted appetizers for the entire table. When the tables is spending upwards of $700-800 i expect to be attended to. We were not a difficult group; we were ready to stay and enjoy the evening. We were not offered dessert. We chose to leave 30mins before midnight to celebrate NYE in a more festive, fun enviroment. I blame the head of house for not checking on us.

Strolling through the 21C Museum Art Gallery prior to our outstanding dinner at Lockbox made for a perfect date night. All of our food was incredible, but the brussels sprouts might be the best we've ever tasted. Be sure to ask your server about the history of the building and take a peek at the private room/bank vault.

There was a limited menu only offering a choice of 2 entrees. We were not notified about this at the time we made the reservation. We would NOT have chosen to dine there if we had known this in advance.

Christmas Eve dinner, made via open table. Was not aware of prix fix menu. When I changed my reservation via telephone, was not told about prix fix menu. Started at the bar where we were handed a bar menu (from host stand), not told of the pre planned dinner menu. Had cocktails and cheese plate (cheeses were very similar in taste :(). Made dinner decisions based on bar menu. Sat down in restaurant where we were greeted by Zephyr. We were handed the prix fix menu yet ordered what we saw on the dinner menu at the bar. It was then we were told of the oh so limited Christmas Eve menu. Zephyr had to ask kitchen if we could order off the dinner menu. Five of us ordered off of the bar menu and Zephyr clearly showed her displeasure. We did not feel she was attentive and another waiter actually came to our table more than she did (when serving four steaks , make sure to also serve steak knives!). My soup was less than luke warm and with slack service I didn’t want to wait to get it heated. I do not plan on going in the dining room again. I do recommend the bar area for drinks, cocktails and just hanging out.

Food at Lockbox is consistently delicious, but kitchen and service are often quite slow and can be inattentive. They are, however, excellent about dietary restrictions such as, in the case of our party, gluten free.
