Awesome place for dinner and drinks. Absolutely the best clam chowder in town! Prime rib is delicious and well priced.
This is the second time coming here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Service was wonderful. Did was outstanding. There wasn't allot of noise. And music. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Nothing flashy but the prime rib was very good. Overall pleasant evening
We were seated immediately with water already on the table because we had reservations. As always the service was excellent, their wait staff is always very attentive and makes sure beverages never stay empty very long. Our waitress checked on us constantly and we really appreciated this. We would like to see more items added to the salad bar because when we compared it to comparable restaurants it is lacking in variety. Make sure pickled beets are on the bar not just plain beets. The food is always very good and we will be back again soon.
Excellent food and attentive friendly service. We will be regulars!
Everything was delicious! Loved the salad bar, garlic bread and the prime rib was perfect! This is a must for an excellent dinner. Can’t wait to be back in town to go back. Oh and they have live music in the bar too!!!
One of my favorite restaurants in Boise! I love the bleu cheese peppercorn ribeye!! I decided to get the 1/2 lb king crab this time and it was good but in my opinion not worth the $26 price tag! I got one leg along with a couple much smaller ones and the price just does not match the portion size. I know king crab is expensive but I believe $15 would have been much closer to the value of what you get. I expect to pay more here but for $26 I should've gotten at least 2 of those bigger legs. I will still go back for the ribeye but probably won't be ordering the crab or lobster. Just too much $ for the seafood.
The food and service are top notch. Filet melted in our mouths! Try the mushrooms.
The food was perfect, the service was great!
We really enjoyed our evening at Lock Stock & Barrel. As it was Saturday night, they had a terrific live band playing in the bar area. The food was great - prime rib is not to be missed and served with their soup/salad bar and a fully loaded baked potato. Traditional fare served by friendly servers. Worth the trip and would highly recommend.
Very good,we will be back!
Wait staff was exceptional. Special occasion and gave a free dessert without is asking.
The prime rib was outstanding. Service was great and there was an awesome live band.
We will return often. We are planning L,S&B as our Annual Anniversary night out! Thank you! Great service by Mike. Friendly without being intrusive!
It was cold, food was flavorless, but service was good. We were celebrating our one year anniversary, but waitress did not ask us if we were celebrating anything.
Our dinner was to celebrate a birthday. EVERYTHING was GREAT from the cocktails to the dessert and the service. Would highly recommend Lock Stock and Barrel.
Service and food wonderful as always. We have eaten here many times and never disappointed. This latest time was for an anniversary dinner and Chelsea took great care of us. We have brought friends here on multiple occasions.
Best prime rib in boise! By far!
We have frequented LS&B for over 47 years.
Our tradition. Never a disappointment.
Always a hood time, for the two of us or when we gather as a family & friends.
Thank you, Tom & Cheri
As always, Lock Stock & Barrel hits a home-run for an upscale dining experience. This is the restaurant we use for all our special nights out. Enjoyable live music in the evenings.
"Old World" ambience with a top-notch wait staff. The calamari is a must-order item. The manager makes it a point to speak with each diner to assure that their experience is perfect.
Have only had one "oops" on a meal over many years, and management immediately made it right for us. The only downside might be their limited parking, but they can't control that.
I think this is the best steak house in town for the money! It is wonderful!
Always a great meal. Can't beat the prime rib or the cedar plank salmon. You are lucky if you catch them on the weekend with live music in the bar.
From the receptionist to our server to the food everything was top notch , very friendly staff they make you feel welcome , and the food is some of the best I've had .
If your looking for steaks that are tender this is the place !!!
Worth the value! Great cuts of meat, terrific salad bar, and clam chowder is always perfect!
We were in the mood for a great steak! We got there and the atmosphere was what a steakhouse should be! The service was excellent - we constantly had our waters refilled, we were asked if we needed anything else, and were attended to very well by all of the staff. The steak was amazing (had the Barrel Steak) and we also had prime rib. Will definitely go back! Much better steak for a much better price than Ruth Chris or Chandlers!!!
Our evening could not have been any better, prime rib was outstanding, everything...just excellent!
Took Mom here for early Mother's Day dinner. I had prime rib and it was great. Mike was our waiter and he took very good care of us. Lock Stock and Barrel is on our short list of favorite restaurants.
We just moved here and we’re looking for a nice steak house . This cane highly recommended... the food was amazing, the service was outstanding .. definitely will be going back
Good food and staff will be going back. Chairs were slightly uncomfortable but definitely not a deal breaker.
Great Service & Great Food. Michael our Waiter was excellent, Jim, the GM, very accommodating.
A Fine Dining Experience !
I love steak. I’ve had it all over the world, and in some of the finest steakhouses in the US. I worked in a steakhouse. I guess what I’m saying is, I know a good steak. While the ambiance and scant salad bar gave me pause, it was immediately erased when I sank into one of the best filet’s I’ve ever had. Perfectly aged, perfectly cooked medium rare. The outside was seared well, and barely any penetration in. It actually jiggled when I poked at it with my finger. Just for fun I cut it with a fork, and it yielded effortlessly. The price was amazing, too. Great wine list, the Australian Shiraz paired really well. This place is definitely a gem, finest steak around!
We visited from out of town and the service and food were great! Live music and a friendly, attentive server, made this a fun experience! Thank you!
Always a great place for any occasion. Long time Boise favorite steak house. Been going here now since the 80's and never have had bad service or bad food. Always 100% satisfied and never left hungry. Thank you for years of fantastic quality!
I am new to the Treasure Valley area having moved from Las Vegas. My wife and I are currently in our fifth year of residency. We enjoy a comfortable atmosphere with great food. Both of us retired prior to moving to the Boise area, with 30 years in Las Vegas. I opened Bellagio in 1998 and spent my last 15 years of employment at that hotel. I have learned to discern service levels and food quality in my 30 years in the casino industry. I am a judicious consumer. First impressions are certainly long lasting and indelible. Our first lunch/bar experience was with a bartender named Kate. Kate was everything we wanted in a server/bartender, so we returned. Our first dinner experience was provided by Kate as our server. Kate was again excellent and we decided this was our restaurant for our special occasions. April 15, 2018 we made reservations via open table for a 7PM dinner. We were surprised at our luck to have Kate as our server again. Kate is consistently excellent. Kate even remembered our wine selection. She instinctively knows when you need something, without hovering over you or "sitting on your lap". My wife and I had the bacon wrapped filet and full lobster tail. The steak and lobster were perfect, in addition the lobster tail was huge. Great service, great food, and great value makes Lock Stock and Barrel our restaurant of choice. Thank you. Wes and Connie
We absolutely love Lock Stock & Barrel. We started going for our anniversary 6 years ago, and even though we go multiple more times per year, it is great knowing every time we are going to get an exceptional meal and a fantastic experience every single time.
Our waitress was fantastic the food was ok the value was way overpriced for what you got. I would save the money and go to Texas Roadhouse for comparable dinner for half the price.
It was my husbands 40th birthday. The food was great and our waiter was awesome! The ambiance and live music were perfect for for the occasion. We will be back!
The prices are high for what you get. One steak is $48. Service and atmosphere don’t live up to pricing.
Everything was great! Except for the music. SUPER LOUD and I was introducing my guy to my family for the first time and was hoping for a quiet place so they could get to know him.
Some of my family members are hard of hearing and the music was way to loud for such a small area. We were able to talk when the guy finally took a break, but next time I will make sure we come in on a night that doesn't have music. The space is too small to have someone playing music. Thank you.
