Great food and good service
Made reservations for a date night with my wife. Service was great, food was really good - chicken and steak - and arrived fast. We ate before the big dinner crowd. Would definitely go again.
My wife and I had a great time. This was our first time here and we would recommend it to anyone. Service was outstanding.
Just a really good meal and attentive but unobtrusive wait staff.
This is the best up scale restaurant
Great service,food, and atmosphere
The manager always talks with all tables 😄😄😄
We had a wonderful time and great food. The service was good. My only negative would be that it was too loud. The band was playing in the bar, so people in the restaurant were trying to talk over the noise -- which made it hard to talk at our table.
Just great food every time! Consistent! Fresh salad bar.
The wait staff was awsome very attentive and just nice people. The food was over priced, and had no flavor was not impressed with the 28oz cowboy cut ribeye. Minimal selections on salad bar and draft beer tasted bad.
The filet melted in my mouth. It was amazing. And there was so much food!
Been going here since late 80's and have not been to a better steak house in southern Idaho.
Food and service was good. Great prime rib.
Our food was as always delicious; my only negative was the asparagus was so over cooked it was mushy...very disappointing.
Both steaks were cooked as ordered. The soup was very good on this outing. For some reason I didn't like the ranch dressing. Not much flavor. Server was very good.
The service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. We came for a birthday preceeded by a death in the family. Our little 9 year old apparently told oir waitress when he was being escorted to the restroom. The staff was so kind and accomodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would come back many times over.
Most if the meal was great as always. However, the author gratin potatoes were very poor, not cheese, nor were they hot. They were very uncooked. This was on Saturday evening August 4th. Our service was great as always. We didn't want to ruin our evening or our group conversation by complaining about the food so we let it slide that evening. We have had the au gratin potatoes in the past and they were delicious.
I made plans ahead of time on open table....love to see if there is availability without calling a restaurant. Had a great dinner with a friend, she had the lamb shank, I had the aged steak au poivre. Both were cook as they should be, came with salads and vegetables....and order the cow pie for dessert...our server was wonderful and the manager Jim is funny and makes sure we have a great experience.
We've seen Lock, Stock, and Barrel on Open Table many times but had never booked a reservation. I think it's because no one that I know has ever mentioned it as a "must try" restaurant. You typically hear of other restaurants in Boise to go to. This is probably because we are in our 30s and most of the patron in the restaurant are 60+. All that to say, we feel that we are older people trapped in younger aged bodies :)
Anyway, we took the plunge and are so glad we did. Our reservation was a breeze, our server Chelsea was sweet and on top of it, and the atmosphere was perfectly casual and comfy. The prime rib was fantastic (thick cut, tender, and lean) and the cow pie for dessert was bomb! And I can say that as weird as it is to have a salad bar as an option...I loved it. Their beef stew and clam chowder at the salad bar were also fantastic! We didn't have any drinks so can't comment on those. The prices were reasonable too. It was a Friday night and the live music was a little loud but very fun and great for all ages.
Our overall experience was quite perfect. It is our new favorite restaurant in Boise. We will be going back for many more times. Thanks again L S&B for a great date night!
Awesome place for dinner and drinks. Absolutely the best clam chowder in town! Prime rib is delicious and well priced.
This is the second time coming here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Service was wonderful. Did was outstanding. There wasn't allot of noise. And music. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Nothing flashy but the prime rib was very good. Overall pleasant evening
We were seated immediately with water already on the table because we had reservations. As always the service was excellent, their wait staff is always very attentive and makes sure beverages never stay empty very long. Our waitress checked on us constantly and we really appreciated this. We would like to see more items added to the salad bar because when we compared it to comparable restaurants it is lacking in variety. Make sure pickled beets are on the bar not just plain beets. The food is always very good and we will be back again soon.
Excellent food and attentive friendly service. We will be regulars!
Everything was delicious! Loved the salad bar, garlic bread and the prime rib was perfect! This is a must for an excellent dinner. Can’t wait to be back in town to go back. Oh and they have live music in the bar too!!!
One of my favorite restaurants in Boise! I love the bleu cheese peppercorn ribeye!! I decided to get the 1/2 lb king crab this time and it was good but in my opinion not worth the $26 price tag! I got one leg along with a couple much smaller ones and the price just does not match the portion size. I know king crab is expensive but I believe $15 would have been much closer to the value of what you get. I expect to pay more here but for $26 I should've gotten at least 2 of those bigger legs. I will still go back for the ribeye but probably won't be ordering the crab or lobster. Just too much $ for the seafood.
The food and service are top notch. Filet melted in our mouths! Try the mushrooms.
The food was perfect, the service was great!
We really enjoyed our evening at Lock Stock & Barrel. As it was Saturday night, they had a terrific live band playing in the bar area. The food was great - prime rib is not to be missed and served with their soup/salad bar and a fully loaded baked potato. Traditional fare served by friendly servers. Worth the trip and would highly recommend.
Very good,we will be back!
Wait staff was exceptional. Special occasion and gave a free dessert without is asking.
The prime rib was outstanding. Service was great and there was an awesome live band.
We will return often. We are planning L,S&B as our Annual Anniversary night out! Thank you! Great service by Mike. Friendly without being intrusive!
It was cold, food was flavorless, but service was good. We were celebrating our one year anniversary, but waitress did not ask us if we were celebrating anything.
Our dinner was to celebrate a birthday. EVERYTHING was GREAT from the cocktails to the dessert and the service. Would highly recommend Lock Stock and Barrel.
Service and food wonderful as always. We have eaten here many times and never disappointed. This latest time was for an anniversary dinner and Chelsea took great care of us. We have brought friends here on multiple occasions.
Best prime rib in boise! By far!
We have frequented LS&B for over 47 years.
Our tradition. Never a disappointment.
Always a hood time, for the two of us or when we gather as a family & friends.
Thank you, Tom & Cheri
As always, Lock Stock & Barrel hits a home-run for an upscale dining experience. This is the restaurant we use for all our special nights out. Enjoyable live music in the evenings.
"Old World" ambience with a top-notch wait staff. The calamari is a must-order item. The manager makes it a point to speak with each diner to assure that their experience is perfect.
Have only had one "oops" on a meal over many years, and management immediately made it right for us. The only downside might be their limited parking, but they can't control that.
I think this is the best steak house in town for the money! It is wonderful!
