Dined at Local during recent ski trip to Jackson Hole. It was our favorite restaurant that week! Food, atmosphere were amazing! Perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail and a great meal after skiing all day!

It was my birthday and wanted a good steakhouse. Loved reading the reviews and decided to give it a try. Upon entering restaurant, we were promptly greeted and made to feel welcomed . We were right on time for our reservation. The place was busy and seemed to have a lot going on. We were seated within a few minutes wait . It took a couple of minutes and our server was quickly at our table. We place our order and eagerly awaited our food. We went with the nights special of crunchy tacos filled with yellow fin tuna. I didn’t car for it as it didn’t taste fresh, though my husband gladly enjoyed it. He also enjoyed the wedge salad served with a true slab of bacon! I really enjoyed the French onion soup ... fully loaded with flavor ! We then moved on to the main course of elk steak and buffalo steak. The elk was a little too lean and dry , however , the buffalo was outstanding ! We then decided to have a little dessert though we were both already full. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake which was amazing !!! I would go back again just for dessert ! Hubby had a simple side of ice cream which he enjoyed as well. I would say this is a busy restaurant with prompt service . It was pretty loud for date night . Would be great for a night out with friends.

One of the best meals I've ever had! The ribeye was cooked spot on (med rare) with the brussel sprouts coming out as the most delicious that I have ever tasted. I also thought the wild mushrooms were delicious and a hefty portion. Thanks Local

Don’t get what the hype is about. I ordered the French onion soup and it was all onions and bread... where was the soup. My husband had the wedge salad.. couldn’t find the bleu cheese and the dressing tasted more like Ranch dressing. Hubby had the wagyu sirloin and wasn’t impressed. I will say the French fries were awesome. Dessert was an apple crisp.. bland floury dough on top of baked apples.. it wasn’t a crisp at all but more like an apple pie. Thank goodness it had ice cream because that at least gave what would have been a dry dessert some moisture. Not impressed at all.

Excellent in every respect. Food was very creative, well prepared and delicious. The crispy pork shank and Brussels sprouts were standout dishes. Wine list was very good - creative, with unusual choices, excellent selection by the glass. Did not have a cocktail but the cocktail list also looked great with interesting drinks. Service was oustanding - our server was Monique. Modern comfortable atmosphere. Just a really nice meal.

The overall ambiance was nice, but overall value not worth it. I ordered the 8oz filet medium (due to pregnancy) and it was more like medium well to almost well done. For $40 this is not acceptable. Honestly one of the worst filets I've had in a long time. Felt the cost to quality ratio was not worth it. If looking for a good steak I would recommend other locations in town such as The White Buffalo.

NIce decor, table was ready. It was crowded and noisy and a crying baby deterred from a nicer dining experience. But our major bummer was WAY too much Tarragon on otherwise delicious steaks. If I'd known they used it, I'd have asked to have it left off. A little is fine, but this overpowered the flavor of the nice beef. Too bad! Wait and back staff were awesome.

Love this place, never had a bad dinner. Tonight we had the trout amandine, the buffalo short rib pasta, Brussels sprouts. Everything was wonderful. All desserts looked incredible but we had to say no. Top of my list for dinner spots for out of town guests...and treating ourselves.

Loved having our winter coats hung up for us. Would have liked server to be more interested in telling us about the menu items, for example, I had to ask what was fish of the day. Table view was of town square and people watching-very nice. Trout almandine was very salty and a little oily. Was able to finish eating it, however, we would not get it again. Desserts were outstanding and certainly worth repeating.

We were in town for one night and chose Local to have dinner. This was our first visit here. The hostess offered to check my coat, a service rarely offered anywhere. Our server didn't blink an eye when I ordered a deconstructed burger. I asked for the brussel sprouts instead of fries and was accommodated. Those veggies were one of the best parts of my meal! My husband ordered the buffalo short ribs. He is usually not up to trying new things, and I was happy he found the dish delicious. A shared creme brulee with a perfectly torched top was the perfect ending to our meal.

We all enjoyed our experience. The butternut squash roulade was kind of bizarre, and I wouldn't recommend it, but that was the first time I had something there that I didn't 100% enjoy. The wine was great and the cheese plate was great too.

My wife and I were so happy to catch a reservation at Local while on our vacation to celebrate my 40th birthday. We had the truffle fries, steaks, au gratin potatoes, and chipotle cream corn. I would definitely not order the cream corn again unless you are a HUGE chipotle fan. It was really rich, but other than that, great (we just weren't in for that level of flavor). Food was fantastic, steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, cuts were top-notch. Not much else to say on that front. Martini's were excellent, other alcohol items looked good but I did not try them. Overall it was $185 after tip for my wife and I, and worth every penny. If you are up for a great meal, it's for you. Ambiance-wise, I don't know what it is with the Rocky's but the dark, heavy interior is the norm. Local does a decent job lightening it up and making it modern, but it's a little more enclosed than I prefer (but to be fair it's in a strip mall).

We so enjoy the food, wait staff but not the noise leave. We had 4 couples that asked us before and after our dinner about the noise level. Our response was that it was so loud you could hardly hear your people at your table. Hope they do something about it. Too many hard surfaces. Good luck.
