   Very sorry to see this outstanding restaurant close at the end of next week. This was a very nice, adult restaurant with a very good and varied menu.

   This is the third year that our Book Club outing included Lloyd's. The service and menu selections is why we comeback. However, on the last two visits, the Bloody Mary ordered was not good even wen agreeing to premium ingredients. That s the only thing that marred one of our member's experience.

   The service and location were perfect, as we had tickets for the Lyric Opera across the street. The food, however, was awful. I ordered the Steak and Cake...the steak resembled a hockey puck, burnt solid. The crab cake was ok, I have made better myself. The rest of my party had similar complaints to their meals (everyone did love the soup though). Over-priced for the quality and I would never go here again.

   We chose Lloyd's because of the proximity the the Lyric; in addition to the convenience we enjoyed a lovely dinner (the dijon horseradish-crusted whitefish is excellent) coupled with service that was efficient yet discreet. Pre-theater dinner places are often tense as the staff attempts to accommodate many diners in a very specific time frame. Lloyd's nailed it! We did not feel rushed; we enjoyed cocktails, a delicious dinner, then dessert and coffee, and made it to the Lyric with time to spare. Perfect.

   We went to Lloyd's for a pre-theater dinner before seeing West Side Story. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was between ok and indifferent. Was not shown a wine list and the glass offerings were limited. My wife had a generous shrimp cocktail and I had the crab/corn soup which was delicious. We asked to split the wedge salad and the server brought us two plates and we split it ourselves. Our entrees were large and worth the price. We would use Lloyd's for dinner before a show but not make it a destination ding experience.

    Lloyd's is super convenient for the Lyric Opera. We went early enough and were seated promptly. I had the jambalaya special which was good though the chicken and sausage were on the chewy side. Overall it was a good experience and reasonably priced.

    Lloyd’s is my go-to restaurant whenever I attend a performance at the Civic Opera House. This time was a lunch before attending West Side Story. The food and service were great and the prices are quite reasonable for a Chicago restaurant.

    Llyod's was recommended by a friend for anyone heading to the Lyric. We decided to try it and it was perfect. They got us in and out quickly. Great service, good food and not crazy noisy like so many places.

    For a dinner before the Lyric, you can’t beat it. Parking is tricky, and caused a bit of delay, but the prompt service made up for it. They know how to get people to the theater and won’t let you down!

    The steak that I ordered was tough and not edible. I had to return it. They did replace it without an argument, but the replacement was only slightly better.

    This was our first time to this restaurant - we went before a show at the Lyric Opera, which is across the street. The food was excellent, there were plenty of choices to please my "hard to please" spouse, and my strawberry kale salad was excellent. We will return to this restaurant.

    Lloyd’s is a usual go-to place in the Loop for a business lunch. The seats in the back area are not very nice, and we were seated by the huge service area which was very noisy. The tuna salad was underdressed and the tuna was sinewy. Not as good as usual.

    Poor service. Wrong food delivered to our table and it took over 10 minutes for the waiter to check on food to get a new plate started. Manager was rude and seemed upset we asked for another salad due to a food allergy. I wouldn't recommend Lloyd's, especially for the price.

    We went just because of the proximity to the Lyric. The service and food were fine - nothing over the top or too expensive. Drinks were good. It suited us well on a Friday night before the opera.

    We were running late due to traffic and I spoke to Felicia on two occasions. She was warm and assured us we were ok and she held our reservation. When we arrived she had food suggestions for me. She went over and above to make sure our evening went smoothly. Food was amazing! Will definitely return!

    Along with everyone else there, we were going to the Lyric for a performance. I had made a reservation and they took us immediately. The food and service were perfect and we had plenty of time to get to the theater on time. I would suggest this as the perfect place to eat before the theatre.

    I only rated service as good because our waiter was slammed with tables all throughout the restaurant instead of in just one section. Trying to get drink refills was painful.
