   We have been to Little Napoli’s a couple of times recently prior to going to shows at the Alley Theater. It is very convenient to go there. Previous times have been pretty good experiences. This time we ordered a Margarita pizza and Veal Picata with a bottle of wine that was at half price. The pizza was good with a nice crispy crust and plenty of cheese but could have used more basil. The wine was an excellent bargain...a Zinfandel I have had at other restaurants for $50+ on sale for $27. However, the Veal Picata was a real disappointment. The veal itself was rather flavorless...almost as if it had been boiled. There were no capers at all in the dish...even though they are mentioned in the menu description and are standard in Picata...and very little of the lemon tartness that a good Picata should display. It was served with overcooked pasta. This was especially disappointing since we were hoping Litttle Napoli would become our “go-to” place for theater nights. :(

   We chose the place because it's right next door to Revention Center. Been there several times for this reason and have enjoyed the food. Service is always a bit slow. This time, they were definitely behind the 8 ball in every single, little detail. Made reservations. Waited 10 minutes at the podium (third person back) for me even to tell that we were there. There was no hostess. A waitress came and took us to our table but first had to clean a table off, no bussers either. Bless her heart, the waitress tried to keep up but they were severely understaffed. We ordered 2 salads and an appetizer (as a meal) of the crabcakes. Took 1 hour and 5 minutes to get. The salads were $18 and were sized for what I would think was a reasonable $10 and the chicken on the salad was as hard as a brick. 2 very small crab cakes were $14. Wine was good but waitress was so backed up we only had 1. Never saw a manager, who should have been chipping in where needed. All in all, a stressful experience (trying to get to a show on time), expensive, and not tasty. If you go, make sure it's on a night when there isn't anything going on down there (like that ever happens!).

   Service was non-existent. We were seated and given water and after ten minutes we flagged a waitress down to ask if we could order drinks. She seemed annoyed and put out, but took our order. When we ordered the caprese salad, we were told they were out of "that." We never got bread, as other customers did. Not an enjoyable experience. Disappointing because we have enjoyed dining here in the past. We will find another restaurant in the future.

   Pre-Hamilton dinner. Food was excellent, but the server seemed to have too many tables to handle. Perhaps they weren't prepared for the number of folks who wanted to dine before the show on a Wednesday? However, we usually have good service, so will count this as a one-off experience and will be back.

   We went to Little Napoli for dinner before a show., hooing for something better than Atrista; which had been disappointing on a couple earlier occasions. The staff that seated us were disinterested in our presence. My wife's salad arrived with a ladybug in it. The facility was in need of cleaning and minor repairs. The bill came with gratuity already added even though we were only a party of 4; which I find offensive. The food itself was OK and our waitress was helpful and accommodating. Overall, though, I left feeling that we had compromised on quality and value in order to be close to the Theater District.

   We always enjoy eating here before a show at the Hobby Center. Their artichoke and spinach dip is amazing!

   I should have realized something was wrong when we arrived at 7:45 PM and there was only two tables occupied. Appetizer (spinach & cheese dip) was watery, tasteless and was not even warm. The salads were ok but we weren’t asked about what dressing we wanted-all the same. Three of the four entrees were dry and tough. The waitress was apologetic but the kitchen folks seem to be lacking in skills and uncaring. Plus the credit card device was not functioning so I had to pay in cash. Not a pleasant beginning to our Mothers Day weekend!!! We have been dining here for last 4 years on Mother’s Day weekend and experience was always good but not this time and we will not go back

    The food and ambiance were both pretty good, but the service was terrible. We went before a show at the Hobby Center, and there were multiple times we had to flag someone down to grab our waiter to keep everything moving along so that we didn't miss our show.
