Le Garrick, located in London's theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant. There is a homely restaurant at ground level, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks and booths for romantic moments. Expect classics and favourites of French bistro cooking; Faux filet Rib Eye or Onglet with sauce poivre or Béarnaise & French fries. For pudding choose from Crème brulée or Lemon tart among the classic desserts. The 2/C prix fixe menu is a lifesaver pre-theatre. In an area that's full of chains, Le Garrick is a one-off. Annual celebrations in the restaurant for Beaujolais Nouveau and Bastille Day. Perfectly located for Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square.

Hawksmoor Seven Dials – Steak, Seafood & Cocktails in Covent Garden.

Tucked away in a former brewery just off Seven Dials, Hawksmoor is the spot for seriously good steak, seafood, and cocktails right in the heart of Covent Garden. Whether you’re settling in for a long lunch, grabbing a bite before or after the theatre, or just fancy a perfectly chilled martini at the bar, it’s the kind of place that feels special without being stuffy.

The menu is all about top-quality British produce—grass-fed native-breed beef cooked over charcoal, sustainable seafood, and proper seasonal sides. And if you’re around on a Sunday, the roast is not to be missed: dry-aged beef, crispy beef-dripping roast potatoes, and ginormous Yorkshire puddings. Basically, great food, good people, and a place you’ll want to come back to.

Incredible food in a beautiful room. My only complaint was the two chicken dishes we ordered contained a tiny amount of meat. Maybe it’s more about the sauce, but just know you might need to order more if you’re hungry. Service was ok but not outstanding.

Pizzeria
Covent Garden
Fatto a Mano serves authentic Neapolitan pizza, sides and more. We use fresh ingredients in a warm, friendly environment. Our dough is made fresh daily and proved slowly, meaning we’re able to use minimal quantities of yeast and our pizzas are light. Our commitment is to quality, we use carefully selected Italian and local British ingredients from a handful of small, independent suppliers to top our pizzas.

We use independent producers as long term partners, including Fior Di Latte Mozzarella sourced from Caserta, and wines imported directly from private Italian growers. The pizzeria menu features classics such as margherita, salsiccia e friarielli, and diavola, whilst also featuring modern additions including lasagna pizza, homemade arancini, our own vegan ‘nduja pizza and scugnizielli dessert.

Our Neapolitan pizzeria is in the middle of Covent Garden’s buzzy theatre-district. We’re a few doors down from the English National Opera, with a view of Trafalgar Square on our doorstep.

Michelin starred Frog by Adam Handling is a place to really submerge yourself in a theatrical show. You’re facing the kitchen, the chefs come to your table and you are able to really interact with every member of the team. Frog is luxury in an environment where you feel comfortable being whoever you are and where all elements in the restaurant are connected to offer a truly memorable experience.

An excellent value pre-theatre menu, and uncrowded at that hour - so service was attentive and noise level low
Located in a historic 19th century townhouse, the Louie restaurant and Alligator Bar represent a lawless drift into a world of sensual and joyful moments without the constraints of form. Enjoy the live music, the sophisticated surroundings and a carefully curated French menu with a New Orleans twist in the heart of London, just moments away from Covent Garden and Soho

We have been to Jamavar many times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. On this occasion the food was excellent. The waiter was very attentive and served us well. However the Maitre D was inattentive and offhand. On arrival I was seated and a few minutes later he came over and asked what we wanted, however we had not been given a menu! When I asked for one he appeared to get very annoyed with us. During our meal the table next to us was cleaned with spray disinfectant spoiling our food taste. At the end of the meal when I used the bathroom there was no soap. This is not you expect of a restaurant in this price bracket.

Opted for set/tasing menu, food was outstanding. Couple of dishes very spicy indeed, which was to our taste. It was a lot of food so came home with a meal for one another day. Service was attentive, polite and friendly. They were really lovely there. Only downside was the air-conditioning was not very good so it was a very hot dining experience. The other niggle was as well as a 10% service charge (no complaint about that) a 5% cover charge was added onto the bill, which I had not noticed would be applied. It's becoming very common to have 15% added in a lot of restaurants, though I disagree with this practice. Don't want to move to the US model!

I had a truly delightful dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. A special mention goes to Riad, who took care of our table with exceptional professionalism and kindness. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel genuinely welcome. One standout dish was the Salad Niçoise—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The tuna was tender and flavorful, the vegetables crisp and well-seasoned, and the dressing tied everything together beautifully. It’s rare to find a version this well-executed. Between the quality of the food and the outstanding service, especially thanks to Riad and the team , this is a place I’ll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

Meaning ‘granddaughter’ in Italian, Nipotina’s menu will blend the duo’s cultural traditions to create nostalgic dishes with family at the core, all made with simple, seasonal produce along with a good dose of Italian soul.
Borrowing chef Somaia nonna's recipes, Nipotina’s menu will feature family classics that she’s been able to make her own. A relaxed and informal dining experience, Nipotina will be home to wood-fired seafood and meats, handcrafted pasta, crisp Nothern Italian pizzas, all-Italian wine list, classic cocktails and warm hospitality. Open early each morning for breakfast, long lunches, aperitivo, late dinners and cocktails, the restaurant will take inspiration from cherished memories made from Piedmont to Puglia.

We had the best evening at Apricity. The food was creative, fresh and utterly delicious. We had three courses, including sides and the unforgettable bread and left feeling full, but energised and light as a feather. Luxurious pacing, amazing drinks and flawless service. Our dog was treated like a king and also had a wonderful time!

This is a welcome oasis in W1 - there is a lovely courtyard, peaceful and green with shelters to keep you dry when it rains. It poured while we enjoyed a fabulous lunch - and not a drop of water landed on us. We ate omakase sushi and tofu skewers - all delicious. Sadly, the nam rolls, listed as gluten-free, were not suitable for my celiac guest due to kitchen contamination. This was disappointing. The sushi was really good, visually and taste-wise. I have eaten this before at Studio Gaultier, when two plates of 10 pieces, in pairs were served up. Here, one plate arrived with several kinds in three and then three seaweed tacos. This was so disappointing - there were two of us sharing. We asked for a knife to cut things in half - eventually, when prompted, one arrived. This thoughtless decision on the part of the chef spoiled what was otherwise a perfect meal. The matcha cheesecake was beyond words - but my guest struggled as only one dessert was gluten free. Great mocktails too - but pricey at a tenner each, At £85 for two, this felt a bit overpriced.

We were in London for a few days before a cruise. The concierge at The Mayfair Hotel recommended this restaurant. We had such a wonderful meal the first time that we went back post-cruise. Beautiful restaurant 5 minute walk from the hotel. The service and food was outstanding! Beautiful table in the back room of the restaurant. The rocket salad was delicious, wine selections are terrific! The Branzino and the Fettuccini with red prawns were amazing! And don’t forget to order the Focaccia bread..adds just the right touch to meal! Add two perfectly prepared cappuccinos to end the meal and it’s a wrap! We loved this restaurant!

Given the reputation and the difficulty of booking, we expected better standards...firstly, even a basic Asian restaurant does not provide disposable wooden chopsticks! We noticed poor communication between the servers because we had to ask several servers for the same thing to get things. The quality of the food and presentation are top but the portion is really ridiculous for the price.

Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours.
Highlights include a Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, the incredible BBQ Corn mixed in a delicious Parsley Butter and the unique Goldies Burger.
In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.

The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy and vibrant, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

Excellent food and really excellent service. The mixed grill is great value considering the size of the thing, but things do get a little pricey as they add up. Still, the quality is so high that you really can’t complain too much. You are getting top quality food here. The steak especially is fabulous, and those mini corn bite things are essential eating. The chips are a delight and the dips are a surprisingly spicy affair but really great. The restaurant itself is sleek and absolutely beautiful. We sat outside in the Kingly courtyard which was great for us but is generally hit and miss given it’s a shared space with a bunch of other places. If you want that lively environment akin to a European city, then it’s perfect when the suns out. Overall it was a really lovely dining experience. Thanks to Topjaw for the recommendation, and thanks to the waiting staff and chefs who were all top tier.

Very good food, service and ambience. Nice restaurant deco. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the Tiramisu was a bit dry and the portion was a bit big (couldn’t finish). Everything else was really good. Will definitely recommend, specially for pre-theatre dinner!

Food was very flavourful and enjoyable (pork souvlaki may have benefitted from being slightly more tender) Menu is not extensive which is part of its charm. It's a pretty small place, so be prepared to sit closely beside other diners. Drinks (alcoholic and soft) were extortionately priced...£6 for a bottle of coke, but tapwater is available and topped up regularly by waiting staff who were excellent...efficient and attentive. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a casual dining experience, and would definitely return.

We are three brothers and a friend who set out on a journey to create a genuine neighbourhood Trattoria reminiscent of the fabulous family-run places of northern Italy, where we all grew up.

You should feel just as comfortable popping in for a glass of home-made vermouth and some sharing plates at the bar as you should taking your time to work through the menu in the dining room.

We cook our seasonal and daily-changing menu with British produce and exceptional Italian ingredients. All of our Pasta, Pizza, desserts and Gelato are made in our kitchen fresh every day. We have London’s largest selection of Vermouths behind our bar and our exclusively Italian wine list has loads of options for you available by the glass.

Head Chef Charles Lee has worked in a number of Michelin starred restaurants during his career before arriving at ROBATA. Possessing a strong command of Asian cuisines from across the globe, Chef Lee has devised a menu which shows the diversity of the country’s food, highlighting traditional cooking techniques and contemporary flavours, along with using the best of British produce.

ROBATA meaning ‘fireside’ specialises in robata grilled charcoal cooking, a Japanese tradition that was first introduced by ancient fishermen who took boxes of hot coals with them on their boats to warm their food at they gathered their day’s catch. While the cooking method has largely stayed the same, the menu is a modern interpretation of some of Japan’s most prized dishes as well as a number of ROBATA signatures sure to please Western pal

Robata is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a sleek yet comfortable vibe that sets the tone for a great dining experience. The food was exceptional. Every dish—from the perfectly grilled skewers to the fresh, beautifully presented sushi—was packed with flavor and clearly prepared with the utmost care and skill. The ingredients were top-notch, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. The robata-grilled items, in particular, were a standout—smoky, tender, and bursting with umami. Service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They offered great recommendations and made sure we were looked after without ever being intrusive. Whether you're a Japanese food connoisseur or just looking for a fantastic meal, Robata delivers on every level. Can’t wait to come back!

Yauatcha Soho, located in the heart of vibrant London, is an all-day dim sum teahouse offering a wide selection of modern authentic dim sum alongside European patisserie and an extensive range of teas, wine and cocktails.

The design of the restaurant is a modern interpretation of the old Chinese teahouse. At the same time, the lighting and seating embodies the atmosphere of a vibrant ‘chatter shop’, similar to the traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurants.

The restaurant offers Cantonese dishes with a modern influence, with an extensive range of steamed, baked, grilled and fried dim sum such as Yauatcha’s signature dishes of Scallop shui mai and Venison puffs.

Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for nearly 3 decades, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves all the French classics, creative salads and plenty of seafood.

We had a good lunch from the set menu. We both had a salad starter and my friend had rib eye steak which has a supplement and I had the confit of duck. Both were very good. Service is always slick here and the food good value.

Located on London's iconic Dean Street in Soho, Prix Fixe Brasserie is a restaurant loved by locals for its affordable French brasserie cuisine. This is the kind of restaurant people come to for low-key lunch meetings, first dates and to wine and dine in comfort before hitting the Soho bar scene or one of the many local West End theatres. Cosy and intimate, the dining room is decorated with blackboard menus, ruby red feature walls, wooden floors and vintage French posters, and both the prix-fixe and a la carte French menus are peppered with favourites such as the confit of duck with French dauphinois potatoes, steak entrecôte with home made French fries and garlic maitre’d butter, classic Boeuf Bourguighon with creamy mashed potatoes, Brasserie Salads and many more. The prices at Prix Fixe Brasserie are almost ridiculously reasonable for Soho, and the quality of the food and service surpasses expectations time and again.

Loved our dinner at Prix Fixe Brasserie. The braised octopus was super tender and tasty, and the escargots were rich and garlicky, classic and delicious. For mains, the ribeye steak was cooked perfectly with creamy mash and a light blue cheese sauce. The duck confit was crispy, tender, and paired so well with the fruit compote and red wine jus. We finished with a banoffee pie and sticky toffee pudding, both sweet, comforting, and hit the spot. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.
