Good food with a nice open setting. Can snell the smoke aroma when you walk in. We had the chefs’s menu which was good but very filling. Having a sample of all the appetizers was nice. Would have been nice to have the option to select dessert. The chocolate angel food cake was a bit dry.

This is located in a dense part of Hollywood close to The Pantages Theater and I opted for valet right in front rather than search for a spot. Let's get to the food: Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice - 5 stars. Excellent! Perfectly crisped rice underneath creamy and delicious spicy tuna. Crispy Brussels Sprouts - 5 stars. Utilizing the outer leaves of the Brussels sprouts gives this a crispy and light quality and the seasoning is delicious, not your typical "balsamic glazed" sprout Miso Cod Bites - 4 1/2 Stars. This was a healthier and light appetizer and a nice little bite. Baked Crab Hand Rolls - 5+ stars. The best baked crab roll on earth!! No notes! Assorted Kushiyaki - 5 stars. We got the asparagus and the eggplant and both were great! Assorted Ngiri - 5 Stars. Every piece was fresh and absolutely delicious. The service was fabulous as well. Extra olive juice on the side of my Filthy Martini was a nice "mint on the pillow" moment for me, and the mini sparkler candle that was brought out for my bday dessert was charming. The ambiance is minimalist and upscale, and our giant booth was perfect for a bday celebration. Well done Katsuya, can't wait to come back!

We had Father’s Day lunch and ordered family style for group of 12. We ordered two sets of the seafood and assorted food platters. And kimchi fried rice with egg. Everything was delicious and plentiful so we had food to take home. I love their garlic noodles and have ordered totchos before which are yummy.

Hands down THE best tuna sushi I've had in the city! This place is pricy but you definitely get what you pay for... I also tried the wagyu steak (great) and the duck gyoza (amazing). Waitstaff were very knowledgeable. I would absolutely return.

The service was on point and friendly. The food was AMAZING! The restaurant is donating this month a portion of their proceeds to a very important organization, the LA LGBT Center. I cannot think of anything they could do better—as a Chicago foodie, that evaluation should have some weight.

The best sushi in the Bay Area by far. The staff are wonderful. We sat in the courtyard and there was a large group so the noise level was less desirable, but that’s not Sushi Ran’ fault. Ultimately it was just people having fun and we had a wonderful experience, regardless of the noise.

Its a very nice experience!!! The steak is perfectly cooked and seasoned, the drinks are good and our waiter is very attentive!!! The fishermanswharf pasta is to die for.. pecan pie is great with coffee.. and their heirloom tomato salad is great, overall perfect for the night with a friend.

Food quality, taste, presentation and value is good. Space is nice, but the AC has been too cold and blowing on us both times we have come recently, usually sitting in tables across from the bar. Main issue is staff needs more training on professionalism, teamwork, sanitation. We saw a few staff eating with their hands while leaving the kitchen and walking into the dining room. There was a staffer probably early for her shift but sitting in the bar area, feet on another stool, staring at her phone and not greeting anyone. We needed to waive down our server to take our order, bring us our check, and then take the credit card--after it sat for 5+ minutes. The manager had to clear some items sitting on the table forever that the staff ignored. There were hand and fingerprints all over the door glass even in the AM before they got busy. These are SMALL things but they add up to give the impression that the staff is in charge and doing the least they can get away with at times and management needs to improve training and supervision and the overall service culture. Keep in mind: the servers and bartenders were very good when they were face to face with the customers, but after that they we in some cases sloppy and apathetic. Poor teamwork and poor supervision.

Went for their “Golden Hour” happy hour and the appetizer choices could have been better, but the drinks were great! The Go Go Gochujang drink was really spicy and delicious. Dinner was phenomenal. The milk bread was soft and flavorful and stands on its own without the butter. I also had the duck confit and kimchi bacon rice which was an amazing meal. Exceptional and unique! The experience was amazing overall!

Went in for their new “happy meal” $20 deal and it did not disappoint! They have this available M-F from 5pm-6pm. A burger, fries, 3 fried oysters, & a glass of champagne - what a fun idea! Everything tasted good. The restaurant was also completely empty at this time since it had just opened up, so the noise level was very low. I made a reservation on OpenTable but honestly you can probably just do a walk in any day between 5-6pm and still get seated.

Last night my girl friends and I had a reservation at Castaway. One person in my party had never been there before and so we waited a little extra in order to get a table outside. While we waited, we sat at the bar and ordered some cocktails. The bartenders were friendly, engaging, and treated us like we were VIPs. Grayson especially went above and beyond for us and we even had the chance to try their charcuterie board which was delicious. Once we were lead to our table, it turned out the wait was well worth it - our table was perfect and very comfortable. Our server Andrew again went above and beyond for us. We had their delicious cornbread and roasted brussels sprouts before the meal. Andrew answered our questions and made excellent recommendations for us with our meal choices. Everyone was happy with their food - the steaks were perfectly prepared and the salads were delicious. We had the chance to enjoy the view after dinner. It was a perfect ladies' night out. Again - big shout outs of thanks to Grayson and Andrew for taking such good care of us. Excellent service like that deserves celebration. We definitely will be back.

We celebrated my parent’s 33rd wedding anniversary last night at Jeune et Jolie and it was a fantastic experience. Sitting inside was so nice as it was bright, open, and not stuffy. We could hear the open kitchen chefs saying “oui chef” as the head chef read out orders. Our fav dishes were the crudo, veal tartare, pigeon, halibut, and all of the desserts were so tasty. We opted for the drink pairing which was a fun experience but I wouldn’t do this again as it was on the pricey side. The additional tasting gifts from the chef were also a nice surprise and made the 4 course meal a 9 course one. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting to try French food (especially for the first time as it’s a nice, light introduction) or just wanting an amazing experience. Shoutout to our waiters who kindly explained the menu and a little bit about how the kitchen operates. It was a wondering evening.

We had a lovely pre-theater dinner and found the menu varied and inspired. We had the Caesar salad, Scotch egg, Ahi Carpaccio, Seared Scallops and twice baked potato -- all delicious. For dessert, we had the Bruleed "Alaska" and Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding. The service was friendly and attentive.
