We very much appreciate the Ancaster Mill as a dining venue. We have dined there several times and are always pleased with the total experience. Last evening we celebrated our 58th wedding anniversary. Our dinners were delicious and our server, Michelle , was amazing. And, of course, being seated at a table where we could observe the waterfall was extra special

The atmosphere and service in this restaurant is inviting and relaxing. The music was energizing and sophisticated, not distracting from the experience, it amplified it. The food was absolutely delicious. It has been such a long time since I have tasted such delicious food. The server explained everything from where the food was cultivated and how, to how the winery experience was for the wine we chose (thank you, Michelle!) - the steak cut like butter and just melted in your mouth, the flavor was out of this world. a house made rye and sunflower bread with whipped butter was brought to the table with water of choice to start. I ordered the 6oz tenderloin with peppercorn jus, garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veg., my appetizer was garlic shrimp and creaser salad. and my dessert was vanilla bean creme brulee. I could write a few paragraphs on why they were so delicious, but I will summarize with they were all spectacular! It is a little pricey, but I am starting to surmise that you get what you pay for!

I enjoyed the dinner with the family but we ordered from the pasta menu and it was very bland and no taste. My father was super dissatisfied. The chicken was pretty good but the mushrooms we not fully cooked. We spent a lot of money for the value we got. I have never been this disappointed

Mocha crème brûlée for dessert. Our server Sue was so friendly, enjoyed talking to her. Definitely will return.

We had the salmon, tartar, fig and burrata, the charcuterie board and our favorite, the chicken liver with sourdough. Would definitely come again (will bring the dogs next time when the patio was open!) and the wine is great as well.

Francis took excellent care of us tonight and made some great suggestions we went with. The Muscles & Fries were excellent as an appie. My wife had the Scallops which were the largest that we have seen in a long time. They were grilled perfectly and were delicious. I had the Duo of Wild Boar also cooked to perfection and were quite tasty. Very nice dessert choices so we had two of Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding. A small but delicious and unusual menu. We were two people, we shared an appetizer (the superb cauliflower dish). One person had two small plates/appetizers, the other had a main. Both were fine but I think you do better ordering a number of small plates. Service was wonderful. Friendly, helpful and well paced. A fine place for a 'special dinner' but not really suitable for kids under 15 unless they have broad tastes in food.

The lunch menu, unlike so many restaurants, was actually a lunch menu and different than dinner one. Attractive presentation, creative and delicious. Great Ontario wine. Helpful server. Quiet since it was lunchtime 1 pm. Definitely return worthy.

The food service was very slow it took us a long time to get served after we ordered and then the timing between the appetizers and meal was very short. The food was delicious, especially the yyc expo menu and our waitress was pretty good. The restaurant was not busy so not sure why I had to ask for water refill and why we had to wait so long for our food.

This was a long table event with food prepared specially to be paired with a variety of amazing Dalmore scotches. The food was absolutely outstanding with each course showing uniqueness while sticking to the theme. The salmon and venison were out of this world. The selection of scotches were excellent, but somewhat meager in the pours. But considering the cost of each bottle, I was not surprised. I will look forward to attending another long table event in the future. Compliments to the chef and his staff!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience dining at TOCA. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with kindness and care. Our server, Amy, was outstanding. If you want to feel boujie (not on a budget) this is the place to be. We reserved a table for 4 which came with bottomless mimosas and 3 course set menu, $69 per person including tip. The service was amazing; they accommodated a last minute gluten allergy and my friends were late to the reservation. The server was super understanding and didn’t rush us, so we definitely appreciated all of this. We started with scones (they were tiny - pictured in the cage) with a very modest serving of preserves for 4 people. The second course you could choose one of two options from the set menu, both are pictured. We got 3 eggs Benny at our table and everyone’s poached eggs were hard (we wanted runny yolk, maybe ask for that specifically if that’s what you want as the server didn’t ask). My partner also had a tiny serving of preserves with his meal (as seen in the photo). We asked for more preserves for my partners extra scones that came with his meal and they allowed that- so thank you! Overall we were expecting more bang for our buck. We found that the cost for the amount and quality of food didn’t add up, however the atmosphere and bottomless mimosas was exactly what we needed. We will be returning for the vibes and nibbles but eating a meal elsewhere as the cost for value didn’t make sense.
