This was a perfect place for a nice lunch with friends. The staff is terrific - very professional! The food is outstanding. We were also very happy with the value. I would highly recommend this as a choice spot for lunch in Greensboro.

The environment and food are very good but the service is where it truly shines. John did an amazing job directing the team while guiding us through the menu with great recommendations. We loved our first visit to Pier W. From a perfect martini to the hazelnut mousse dessert my birthday dinner was wonderful. Alexis our server was cordial, and always seemed to check back right on time. The lobster bisque is not to be missed and the chargrilled bass saltimbocca and the shrimp scampi entrees were both quite different but each were great in their own way. The only food improvement I'd look for is the roasted asparagus--such large spears were a bit tough and stringy. In my own kitchen I would have peeled them. But--not a deal breaker. We're return again for another special occasion or just when we're in need of a treat. The views are amazing, the ambience is lovely, and this restaurant is our new favorite.

The place is charming, perfect for celebrating a special occasion. The menu is not that varied, but I think that makes the food prepared with special attention. The starters are spectacular. We were a party of 2, pre theatre. Shared 3 selections from the antipasto bar. Love the mushrooms, they’re always very tasty. Same for the Caponata and the Ricotta cheese ball. Also love the cauliflower Milanese but didn’t get that this time around. We shared the huge (deconstructed) lasagna entree. I’ve had it on previous visits and it also never disappoints with ricotta dollops on top, mozzarella inside, a meatball on top, and pockets with brisket here and there. So you get different flavors in different forkfuls. It’s excellent and we each took some home. The portion is really generous. The food is always consistent which makes it a no brainer for any Lincoln Center pre or post performance meal.

We've often talked about looking for someplace else for variety but end up say," Nah, we love it at White Dog and keep coming back. We love the Seafood Platter Sharable and the food is delicious. It was a VERY hot day yesterday morning. They seated us under an umbrella that covered half the party, but the street side was exposed. Before we ordered drinks, we asked to be relocated due to the exposure and the state of one of our members already under certain medical stress. They relocated us, but still outside under more shade and less heat radiating from the street. The food was excellent, the potatoes were crispy and well-prepared and the plates were plentiful. Gorgeous setting, attentive staff, and delicious food.

I eat at Hazelwood, St. Louis Pk. a lot. This was the first time the service was not so good. Our wait person seemed to have outdoor and indoor tables. My friend and I were seated at a great table that we had a clear shot of the outdoor and inside tables our wait person was trying to cover. The only time we got any attention is when we snagged her try to get back to the bar. She always stopped, always promptly got to anything we asked for, and even though we were both feeling neglected unless requesting attention she was tipped very well. I realize this could have been just one of those days that Hazelwood was understaffed for a busy lunch hour. Other than the front of the house person that seated us, and delivered our food, it didn't seem like there was any other support people. I think our wait person did the best she could. The food was excellent! Just a bad day to be a wait person!

Actually my first time back here in literally decades. I rated my food a 7-8.5. The hot food choices were generally very flavorful. The desserts were what brought the score down. Other than the Guava Bread Pudding which was dry but had good flavor, the Dulce de Leche wasn't sweet nor really had any pronounced flavor at all. The Chocolate bon bons were overpoweringly on the bitter chocolate side and not much balance to the sweetness. The ambiance is very interesting/unique and we stopped at both artist tables and watched them work. The music levels were outrageously and unnecessarily loud and it was generally very difficult to have a conversation at the table. We mostly had absolutely no idea what our server (who's service was excellent) was saying to us. TURN IT DOWN!

The steaks (Filet & NY strip) were excellent- cooked & served at temperature, tender, seasoned. The sauces we tried only enhanced the steak. The fried mushroom strips, had a rich earthy flavor and the sauce just made them more delicious. The Mac & cheese was yummy- rich cheese flavor. The Caesar salad had a rich good dressing. Our server, Lucas, was very friendly & honest, and he guided our selections. Everything thing he suggested was delicious! Definitely plan your return. A good place to celebrate!

Just, wow. It’s been a VERY long time since I was blown away by a restaurant. I try a new restaurant whenever I can, and I’m open to many different cuisines. Quality and affordable French cuisine is hard to find in Florida, where I live, so every time I come to DC I make it a point to discover new places. I mostly enjoy what I eat, but Brasserie Liberté is on a whole other level. Where can I start? The decor is beautiful, a mix of trendy boho chic with deconstructed Old World touches. The floor is interesting, even the bathrooms are worth visiting. But what got to me were 2 specific things: the EXCELLENT service by the hosts and the wait staff, and the MAGNIFICENT food. I had the chestnut soup, which I’d never tried before, and it was mind blowing. What an alluring mix of warm, not-too-thick crème with chopped green onions, and a delicate piece of toast and what I believe may have been cream or goat cheese and nuts on top. This is, bar none, the best soup I’ve ever had. I moved on to the steak frites and I selected the culote cut. It was tender and good, accompanied by a simple house salad (mixed spring greens with thinly sliced radish and, unfortunately for me, cucumbers, which I hate with a passion but was able to siphon off to a corner of my plate. There was no lingering taste on the rest of the salad, so I had it. The pommel frites were OK, although I prefer thick steak fries, which were not available. I think thin frites may be the traditional French way. The one thing I didn’t care for was the gravy or sauce on the meat. I prefer my steaks without any sauce or gravy and would have asked for it to be served without the sauce had I read the description more carefully. I paired everything off with a crisp cremant that was dryer than I typically prefer, but very good nonetheless. My server, whose name I unfortunately forgot, is one of those quietly efficient, knowledgeable persons who pays enough attention to the table without hovering over you. Perfection!
