Enjoyed a lovely brunch with friends and good service from Delilah. Only thing we all found was the dressing on the green salad was not the tastiest--perhaps a sesame oil base? Something more basic like olive oil would be a better accompaniment when having salad with eggs in particular. Otherwise, poached eggs were perfectly cooked and omelette and scramble were delicious! Love the atmosphere here.

The kids menu has good selection and is a great price. I was excited to try the GF Mac and cheese but in the end was disappointed. To be concise - I could have made this meal: boxed pasta, jar of Alfredo sauce, with mushrooms and chicken (which was chewy). It wasn’t worth the cost. The atmosphere and service were good, but I am not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.

We enjoyed numerous plates to share along with bottles of Chardonnay and Unparalleled Pinot. We were celebrating our anniversary and Elora Mill did not disappoint. We had a great table with a great view and the food was amazing! If you like oysters you’ll love these! Our waiter Andrew was wonderful and so kind as to recommend several other dishes, so we ended up changing our dinner plans the final night of our trip to return. The salmon tartare, mushroom cavatelli, lamb steak, and profiteroles were all 10/10. Big thank you to both Andrew and Tony for top notch service and recommendations!

Came here for dinner on a Friday night with a friend. We sat in a lovely patio area along the side street. This was great as I do not enjoy sitting on patio right next to a main street. Patio seating was adorned with cushions, standing umbrellas, fencing, and a bit of greenery that provided a little bit of privacy from the patio and the sidewalk/street. The service was excellent. I think our server’s name was Joe (at least that was the name on our bill). He checked on us periodically, but never hovered or left us alone for too long. We shared a Burrata appetizer, the rigatoni à la vodka, chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes, and a tiramisu. The dishes were fairly simple and well executed, apart from the tiramisu which is brought in from elsewhere (still tasty though). If you’re driving, parking can be a little tricky as it is street parking only. We had a lovely evening and I can’t wait to go back.

In honour of our special day, we were treated to some of their sparking wine which we enjoyed first. We very much enjoyed the pasta of the day which looked fabulous and was bursting with wholesome flavour. The meal wouldn’t have been complete without the chocolate cake with cherries! Delicious! Thank you!

The origin of The Story Café emerged from the mantra “There is a story in everything”
So in 2018 when we fell upon a 30 year old warehouse, we saw the potential to transform the abandoned space into a warm, hospitable, unique eatery. Through consistent innovation, research and dedication we managed to blend our affinity for coffee, music, food and antique into a ambient mélange of vintage and nostalgia. Server was amazing, very attentive and kind making sure that her customers were happy. Food was perfect. I wish other patrons would observe the dress code. Eating a nice Sunday brunch in blue Jean shorts does little for the atmosphere.

Opened in 1986 by Uli Blume, it was one of White Rock's original waterfront restaurants and quickly became a favourite among locals for its great food and friendly atmosphere. Uli's son Tyson took over operations in 2008 and he picked up right where his father left off – providing the White Rock waterfront with a fun and relaxed place to enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, stunning water views, refreshingly simple food, an extensive international beer list, and a diverse selection of wines. Chef Jennie Silk is also making quite an impression on locals as they flock for her impeccable local flavours on the menu.

Lov Laval used to be one of my favorite all-vegan restaurants, so it’s disappointing to see the changes in both the menu and food quality. I understand the shift to include vegetarian options—if it helps keep the restaurant afloat, it’s better than seeing another vegan spot shut down. That said, the quality of the vegan dishes has noticeably declined. Even staples like the burger and fries are smaller and far less tasty than they used to be. As someone who continues to support vegan-friendly restaurants despite these challenges, I really hope Lov Laval can improve and reclaim the excellence it was once known for.
