Our server was very friendly, accommodating, and provided some helpful suggestions. One of the members of our party has some severe food allergies and the restaurant staff went above and beyond to ensure her food was safe but also very enjoyable.

Lots of delicious food and drinks to choose from, very reasonable prices and they made sure I felt comfortable in the restaurant with my nut allergy. There are many influences in what has come to define "Canadian" cuisine starting with the First Nations, followed by the influences of the French, English, Vikings, Portuguese and more. Our menu is a modern take on our northern gastronomic history with each cuisine and tradition inspiring the tapestry of our culinary landscape that we hope to celebrate on our menu.

The service was exceptional: the food presentation on the high tea pedestal, the quality of the tea cups & cutlery, the professional uniform of the servers, the cleanliness, and the music were all outstanding.

My aunt who's vegetarian was visiting Toronto so we decided to try Planta. Food is delicious and non-vegetarians will not go hungry. Only comment is that waitstaff sort of disappeared. We had a lovely evening enjoying the company at our table but the restaurant would have sold at least another round of drinks had they checked in on us after they served the food.

Terroni Adelaide, formerly the York County Courthouse, is a multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the doors is the Enoteca with its towering columns, a great spot for cocktails. Beyond is the main dining room, with a sunlit atrium, fireplaces on each end and private rooms all serviced by an open kitchen where our chefs prepare traditional Italian fare. In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.

Head down to the Cantina Wine Cellar where you will see the original courthouse cells now used to store our Italian wine. The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the cells below. Il Covo degli Artisti, our third-floor space is a cosy lounge once home to The Arts and Letters Club where Canadian landscape painters “The Group of Seven” ate and drank in 1909.
