Had a wonderful family style dinner for 6 last evening with exceptional service. We tried most of the menu and enjoyed it all, steaks cooked to perfection. Crab cake was so light and delicious and our server absolutely made it a perfect evening!! Hope to visit again someday and definitely will return!

Had a great meal, staff and service was excellent. The menu was simple and had a very good balance between fantastic meaty choices, great veg and sides, and a great fudge sundae. The drinks were very good with an excellent choice of well priced cocktails, house beer and a good looking wine list. Even the espresso was excellent!

We were a group of friends who hadn’t seen each in a while and it was very welcoming and relaxing. We didn’t feel hassled to eat and go as so many restaurants nowadays, the food was delicious and the staff were lovely. After our meal, we moved downstairs and had some tea - a thoroughly lovely experience and we will definitely return. Thank you

That they serve the best steak is a given (we had the porterhouse between 2 of us) but the cocktails are interesting and tasty (full-fat old fashioned with clarified butter anyone?) and the waiting staff are all lovely and attentive (without being hovery). Oh and the sides and desserts are great too. We’ll be back again once we have digested this meal (we probably don’t need to eat for the rest of the week).

When you are charging customers something for a item of food you should know how much you are going to be charged the way of doing this in a restaurant is to put it on the menu so you can see how much it will cost

Was our first visit to the ivy st albans and didn't disappoint. Lovely waitress attending to our needs. Great food and value and ambience. Nice touch for my birthday as presented with choux bun with candle. Will look at visiting again 😍

At S&W here in UK or in US you know what to expect and never disappoint the quality of the food marked in particular by high standard meat products prepared in a very classic American style that we love and know for many years visiting the original New York City icon place. In London we had a very nice dinner celebrating a milestone birthday in a nice and quiet atmosphere. A classic to perfection.
The staff were friendly and efficient. Our server went above and beyond. The meals were excellent. Of course the restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable.
