The food here remains exceptional, the finest seafood I've ever eaten. I had the clam chowder, scallops and a quinoa salad plus pavlova for dessert. I will say that the shell on the pavlova was a bit too hard for my taste. Service is consistently good.

It was our 3rd time at Riggs (every time we are in D.C. we come to Riggs) and it was amazing as any other time before. The food was delicious, service was good and professional and we enjoyed our dining experience. Looking forward to come back next time we visit D.C.

Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly. Chaplin's is located in the heart of the Historic Shaw neighborhood. And it is open until last call 7 days a week. Chaplin's received a Plate certification in the Michelin Guide in 2020. And it is located steps from the convention center and popular Logan Circle, 14th street and City Market.

We were excited to finally try this place out, as it’s been on our list for a while. The staff was welcoming, and the restaurant was beautiful and inviting. We went there with our kids, and it took me a minute, but there was a giant mural of a naked woman on the wall, which I found odd for a restaurant. The service was a bit slow. There was only one or two other tables at the time. I'm not sure if they are in the middle of training, but it just felt a bit off. Everyone was kind, but overall, the service was a little lacking. The menu we saw posted here was not the menu we were given, so I would suggest you look at their site for a current menu. We found the menu to be very limited, especially if dining with kids. The food was good, and portions were good, but I just wish there were more options to choose from. The menu had a backside offering food from their sister restaurant which offers Palestinian food which also was odd to me as we went there for the great Peruvian food I had heard about. All in all food was good but we would likely not return.

Outstanding food and service! We had the featured appetizer. We were on the A al carte side, and look forward to doing the tasting menu soon. They were out of the wine we ordered, but gave us tastes of an alternative then brought a third (Alberino) that was an even better pairing than where we started. We had the Nirvana 37 appetizer followed by the NARIYAL CHILI PRAWNS and the KERALA FISH CURRY. Both were excellent and beautifully presented. I look forward to my next visit.

I haven’t always loved Pearl Dive, but I do now. The fire-grilled daily fish (black sea bass last night with stone-ground grits, pecan brown butter, and green beans) was to die for. I’ve recently had bacon wrapped oysters and Addie’s Mussells, jambalaya, shrimp gumbo, and blackened catfish. Buttery biscuits and cornmeal muffins are worth the price of admission, but offered gratis. The beignets are my favorite desserts cuz not too sweet, but last night’s apple pie was also sweetened with a gentle hand, and very good, with an assertively spiced cinnamon ice cream. The service is always friendly and terrific. Pearl Dive reminds me of the perfect New Orleans seafood resto, (albeit with plenty of meat dishes) hitting all the right notes. Think Brennan’s, KPaul and Commander’s Palace, and take it up a notch. The prices are happily very reasonable. We usually spend about $55 per person for food, without a penny’s worth of regret.

My wife and I enjoyed an amazing breakfast at The Pembroke during our recent visit to DC. Our waiter, Michelle, was very attentive and friendly.

Tonari is our Wafu Italian restaurant. WAFU means Japanese-style, so our menu is a Japanese take on Italian food. It originated in Japan through the love that the Japanese had for Italian food but wanted to incorporate some of their cultural flavors and ingredients to them. We at Daikaya Group and chef & owner, Katsuya Fukushima, are bringing this experience to you here in DC.

Best Detroit style pizza I have had in the DMV. All the cheesy crunch and chew, but somehow also not too heavy. The flavors are out of this world!
