This was, quite simply, one of my top dining experiences. The decor was beautiful, the service superb, and the food, truly spectacular. The mixture of tastes, not only among courses (we had the tasting menu) but also within each particular course, was outstanding. It's not inexpensive, but it is well worth the cost. We will be back!!!!

This is one of London's greatest restaurants that because it has remained relatively undiscovered is sadly I have learnt will close at the end of this month.

Indian Fine Dining Restaurant with British Flair in the Heart of Mayfair.

Benares Restaurant and Bar since its opening in 2003 has been considered one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the city.

Guests enter an elegant lounge with hand-crafted India inspired furniture and is complemented by a beautiful pond decorated with fresh flowers, creating a luxurious aesthetic.

Benares has 4 private dining rooms, three of which are around the lounge: the Berkeley Room which seats up to 16 guests, the Sommeliers Table which seats up to 10 guests and a Chefs Table overlooking the kitchen which seats up to 8 guests. The lounge area leads into the main dining room which can accommodate up to 80 guests. Our largest private dining area, the Dover room seating up to 36 guests is on the other side of the main dining room.

Benares can be hired for exclusive events accommodating 100 guests for a sit-down dinner and 250 guests for a standing reception.

Celebrated French chef Claude Bosi launched Claude Bosi at Bibendum back in 2017, with a ground-floor seafood and oyster bar and first-floor restaurant which is ‘unashamedly fine dining’, with the chef's signature contemporary and light-hearted flair.

The a la carte menu features some of his signature classics and the chef’s Michelin-starred alma matter, with ingredients sourced predominantly from the British Isles and France. The striking upstairs dining room with its dramatic and iconic floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows has been redesigned to house a larger central open kitchen. The light and airy dining room will feature the original Conran chairs with a soft colour palate of muted blues.

We have just returned from a fabulous lunch at Core. We had both the classic and seasonal tasting menus and it is quite simply some of the best food we have ever had. The sauces were fantastic and the fish, meat, etc cooked beautiful. The staff are plentiful, attentive but not too fussy. The restaurant is tastefully done and everyone has space and privacy. Well worth the money, we will return.

Amazing experience! Outstanding service, and provides excellent detail about thought process behind each dish. Excellent taste. Could use a texture. The duck was outstanding. The steak could’ve been a bit more moist and juicy, but was cooked perfectly otherwise. The triple cooked chips were fantastic, especially with the mushroom ketchup.

Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant
The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour. It was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham.

Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy. Food is cooked by a talented team of chefs and served by friendly, professional team of staff.

Due to the style of cooking we cannot produce dairy free menus & therefore cannot provide vegan options.

A deposit is required to make reservations on special days of the year, on our special events, or for tables of 6 or more. This is paid over the phone by calling 01803 200044.

Children's menu is only available at lunch for ages 10 and under.

Tasting menu only available in the evening unless requested via phone in advance.

Since our transformation and reopening in the summer of 2009, we have created a loyal clientele and a genuine home-from-home atmosphere. Flag stone floors, walls in muted heritage colours, antique rugs and furniture, period paintings and prints all unite to create a stylish and comfortable setting. Our bar has an excellent selection of traditional cask conditioned ales from award-winning independent breweries and is complemented by a superb cellar with over 250 wines from around the world.
While the surroundings and welcome are inviting, the main reason to visit is, of course, our food.

As always at the Freemasons it’s quality, quality, quality in all aspects of the experience whether it’s a meal or a stay in one of their delightful rooms. Service is friendly and professional where you are made to feel welcome and special. The food is amazing and so delicious with great attention paid to flavour and presentation.

Kai Mayfair’s cuisine has its foundation in Nanyang Chinese cooking, the region located within the South Seas of China. It takes a ‘Liberated’ approach to Chinese cooking, respectful of the flavours from its Chinese heritage but not bound by it, offering a menu primarily of specialities unique to Kai. A truly outstanding experience. The service levels were exemplary without being stuffy. The 10 course menu was fabulous and the accompanying wine flight complemented the food well. A special mention for the sommelier who was truly excellent.

A truly fabulous meal at Paco Tapas. There were six of us and we had a very wide selection of dishes. Everything was delicious; standouts were the tuna and the stuffed quail, which was to die for! Nice wines at sensible prices, together with really friendly service. A superb evening - thanks to everyone in the Paco Tapas team.

Honestly did not realise food could taste this way. We went for dinner and had the mystery menu, and it did not disappoint. The initial liquid dish was like having a garden in my mouth, it was so refreshing and each sip presented something different. The sorbet was fascinating, and I don't even like sorbet's but this was fantastic. The take on mint-chocolate dessert was a favourite. The dishes kept on coming and were really wonderful, thank you so much.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I absolutely couldn’t fault the place and the quality of service. Exceptional and exceeded my expectations by a huge way. It is still our favourite, our go to place for a special occasion. We particularly liked the Hoggart with Moroccan flavours main dish on this visit, it was delicious. The pigeon starter was overcooked unfortunately, perhaps it spent too long on the pass! Our party of 8 all enjoyed their selections off the menu. Highly recommended.

Service was really outstanding and food/wine pairing was excellent however it was a bit off putting that they were already cleaning up the kitchen as we were about to finish our last course. We had seen other tables tour the kitchen and were hoping we’d have the same opportunity however half the staff was already leaving as we were finishing up. Our reservation was scheduled for 9pm and we actually received word that we could push our reservation ahead to 830pm. Good thing this was the case otherwise I’m not sure how they plan for the later seating. We were a bit disappointed by this and it unfortunately but a damper on the overall experience, hence not giving it full marks.

I chose the chicken satay skewers. Sadly the chicken was burnt on the outside and very dry . The coconut and peanut dip tasted only of mayonnaise. The fries were okay. My partner had the suet pudding and mashed potatoes. He ate it all. We had a chocolate pud with vanilla ice cream. The chocolate cake was dry and the vanilla ice cream was grey and didn't taste of vanilla at all. Very disappointed. We have eaten out every night on the CtC and it's been really good but last night even though I was very hungry I left my food. So it wasn't good .

First time dining here and we were very impressed. Great atmosphere and the decor was lovely. The staff were prompt, efficient and obviously well trained. Our water was constantly topped up without the need to ask. We didnt feel rushed or constantly interrupted with "Is everything OK?" as is often the case nowadays. It was my wifes birthday and there were a couple of sweet little touches that made the evening special. The food was great, very tasty and beautifully presented. We would definitely reccomend.

Want to thank the owner aka “fossil collector” for his wonderful hospitality and kindness. My husband and I had our anniversary here and we had just came back from Dorset and went fossil hunting and this restaurant is filled with fossils! The food was excellent, some Asian flavour profiles which I appreciated as some umami tasting dishes. Come for the food, stay for the fossils and the wonderful company. The owner was also very hands on and you could see him hard at work serving tables. We have been to 5 restaurants all 3 star 🌟 in London but this is my very favourite one. Thank you for the memories. Good value roast dinner. One small issue - they advertise unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshires and gravy. We asked 3 times for extra gravy as the meal was quite dry. The gravy did not come and there was no explanation or apology. Otherwise, it was all good.

One of the best meals that I have had. The food was superb - from the amuse bouche to the petit fours and considering the quality was very good value for money. One outstanding thing was the cheeseboard, not only because of the selection but also because it was included in the price of the deserts - many restaurants would charge a £20 supplement for something comparable.

Apart from the fabulous food, first rate service and value, this has got to be one of the most wonderful Art Deco spaces in London. But make sure you eat downstairs. Booking advisable they do keep walk-in capacity but no surprises, it fills pretty quickly at peak times. We will be back (and back) again.

About the restaurant
Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength.
Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.
We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table.
Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

Primeur is 10 years old in 2024 and one of the 34 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants that can be found in London.

We cook very simple food with a great attention to sourcing from sustainable and regenerative producers. Our wine cellar also reflects our focus on soil health and offers a wide selection of natural wines, from the classical to the more left-field grapes.

Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.

Such an unexpected gem. Hidden away on a side street, the food, service and ambience all fantastic. Haven't had such a delightful restaurant experience in a long time. It was a birthday, which helped me to swallow the 50 per person no drinks. I appreciate that this has become quite normal recently and I'm sure they do what they can to keep costs down, but it kept me from giving five stars. That said, we ate well, are big eaters, and every dish was fantastic. Will definitely return. Thank you.
