A wonderful way to celebrate my 80th birthday with friends. The food, as always, was perfect. Our server was professional and courteous. Looking forward to another celebration at Linwood’s
Wonderful and fabulous as always!
I love the fixed priced menu; I get all my favorite food at an awesome price.
Linwoods never lets you down - always good food and service. Barbara is an exceptional server
We went there for a birthday and it was excellent service and great environment. We sat next to the owners and they were the nicest people. It is an excellent restaurant for all occasions with amazing food and service.
We will be regulars.
Linwoods consistently far exceeds expectations. I live far from Baltimore. However, when I travel to Baltimore for an overnight stay, I dine at Linwoods. When I visit Baltimore for several days, I go to Linwoods. The place is a gem. Period.
If you would like lunch in a refined atmosphere with delicious food, a varied menu, and reasonably priced food, this is the place. All four in our party enjoyed a lovely get together to celebrate the birthday of one person in our group. We had a lovely reasonable and leisurely lunch.
Linwood's is our favorite local restaurant, hands down, and has been for the last 25 years. The food is delicious. The wait staff is gracious and attentive. The decor is attractive and comfortable. Whenever we are entertaining visitors or celebrating a special occasion, this is our "go to" place and we've never been disappointed.
We've been dining at Linwood's since it opened. Food is very good, service is excellent. Desserts are decadent. My only complaint is that the prices have gone up significantly making the value for the money questionable.
As always - another wonderful meal at Linwoods. We were given great service by Jeff. Our food was prepared perfectly - Maryland Crab soup was delicious - Liver & Onions, Beef Tenderloin and Salmon was all excellent! My husband and I come to Linwoods regularly, but we introduced our friends to Linwoods, and they were very impressed!
Another great meal! A wonderful appetizer with drinks is the cheese plate. Linwoods has had it before and each time it is a delicious, varied item to have with before dinner cocktails. Soup is perfect for a cold night. The butternut squash and apple soup is smooth and speaks of fall. The onion soup topped with melting cheese is terrific. The current salmon presentation has a wild rice carb that is laced with sweetness. If you love roast chicken and mushrooms, this one is moist and full of the earth mushroom flavor. Unfortunately, desserts are not a forte here. The gingerbread a few weeks ago is gone. Too bad, that was good warm with ice cream.
Linwoods never disappoints. It is now our tradition to come here for all of our family
birthdays. No matter what you're in the mood for, from fancy to basic, they have it here. We always say we're going to try the pizza, but get enticed with the seasonal items. The attention to good
service & the amazing care in preparing the food is what makes this place stand apart.
Also, the Chef usually stops by to say hello, which is an added perk. We can't say enough about how much we love this restaurant!
Our financial advisor introduced us to Linwoods several years ago and we immediately fell in like with it.
It's our go to place for our anniversary dinner when we are in town. Easy to find, plenty of parking and very friendly staff.
The food is always delicious.
Took my friend here for her birthday. Had a fantastic time. Food was delicious. I had a crab cake and my friend had salmon. Would highly recommend.
Always AWESOME! We love Claudia!
Never a bad experence. Always excellent food and service.
I’ve been dining there for years. I had my first bad meal which was the seared tuna.
It was over cooked and I edible.
Fabulous as always
Our waitress was nice however the service was incredibly slow and when our food did come out, it was cold! This was our first time coming to Linwoods (we came on special occasion for my husband’s birthday) and we were recommended through our church. What a disappointment but It’s hard to believe that it’s always like this. I’m not sure if we will be returning in the future.
Great food as usual. Lunch was packed on a Monday. That speaks for itself. Go if you can
The food and service was excellent
For starters, great martinis. The food was excellent although had to send both back due to temp of food (like warm, vs very hot). Was a little disappointed in the service. Had to wait about 15 minutes to meet our server, although others approached the table. Also was ready to bring check forgetting I ordered dessert. Also remembered late that or was my wife's birthday celebration.
Great service. Meals, as always, prepared to perfection.
Special dessert for birthday celebration .
Definitely a great place for special occasions.
If I were to write a review on this dining occasion, I'm afraid my review would be less than enthusiastic.
Linwood's is always my favorite - not so much this time.
Not a good night for this suburban stalwart.
Lunch was enjoyable as usual. I love coming here because the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food never disappoints. We had crispy oysters which were very good. The Caesar salad is one of the best because anchovies are on it. An excellent restaurant for friends and family to gather for lunch or dinner.
I always love Linwood’s but was disappointed that there was no vegetarian or vegan option. In the past, I’ve had really good vegetarian meals there but this time the restaurant seemed to have become much more meat-oriented.
Excellent As usual
Food was great and Stacy is always very attentive. Took my son and they made him feel like a VIP
I cannot say enough good things about Linwood's. The service is impeccable. The wine list, handcrafted cocktails, and beers are great. The food is well prepared and absolutely delicious. The menu is thoughtful and very comprehensive, but they also offer some of the dishes on a 3 course prix fixe menu, that is a bargain at $42.18. We both had the spinach salad, which was amazing. The main dish that we both ordered was the beef tenderloin, which was served atop an incredible potato gratin, and beneath 3 perfect asparagus. The plate also has a red wine reduction and herb emulsion, which amplify and compliment all of the other flavors. For dessert, the best carrot cake I have ever eaten. It was perfectly spiced, dense and moist, without being heavy. I have forgotten what the other appetizer, entree and dessert offerings were on the prix fixe and will have to go back and try them.
The service was great. The drink were Perfect. The ldies at the front desk are professional. The restaurant is extremely comfortable.
It has been a long while since I have made the drive to Linwoods but it was well worth the trip. The food and service were outstanding and although this is not an inexpensive restaurant I would still say it is a good value. I can find no faults with the food at all and a nice mix of seasonal specials with the main menu. We had fish entries and they were superb. The wine list is relatively short, but there are some real gems there and a very reasonable markup. I would grade the ambiance as festive not intimate.
Happy times are here again! Crispy oysters are back on the menu! We had them Saturday night and they are as good as ever. I do not care for mushroom soup, but when my friend ordered it I tasted it. It is actually good :) The kale salad is as great as ever. It is so perfect for a fall salad. A stuffed sugar pumpkin is on the verbal menu. OMG, it is great. It is stuffed with wild rice, cranberries, Brussel sprouts- soooo good. I hope it stays on the menu. The Asian inspired tuna is always excellent, the tuna is clearly sushi grade. The crab cake with crispy fries is always a winner and it was Saturday night as well. I just love the warm gingerbread dessert. Fall is the time to fall into Linwoods for a great meal.
I always go to Linwoods on my birthday because it is a great restaurant and it is near where I live. The lobster tempura is second to none and so are their crab cakes. The service is excellent and I usually get to see some of the members of the Ravens football team.
We have been enjoying Linwood's several times per year for over 20 years. The consistent level of great food from appetizer to dessert has made this our "go to" restaurant.
Always perfection with service and food
Menu changes but retains old favorite
We are not from the Baltimore area, but always look forward to our dinners when in the area (4-5 times a year). Servers are knowledgeable and attentive. The calves liver is divine, and desserts are a real treat to share and enjoy. Our fish was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying au gratin potatoes delicious. Highly recommend Linwoods!
Our children had called the restaurant , knowing we were going there for our 35th anniversary and arranged cocktails to be delivered to us as well as our favorite dessert (bread pudding) with a candle, and it was perfect. We had a corner table, the food was great, we were not rushed and it was perfect! (And the food was great!)
Loved every minute I was there Great service great food highly recommend it.
As usual, food, service, ambience, and just all around great.
