Around the corner from the Fine Arts Theater in downtown Asheville, Limones Restaurant provides an inspirational mix of Mexican and Californian cuisine along with inventive bar selections served by a warm, professional staff.     Food generally good but not outstanding. Squash -Miso soup was my favorite. Not wowed by lobster tacos although lobster was plentiful. Beef tenderloin was tasty but nothing special.

    This sis one of the best Mexican Restaurants at which I've eaten in quite some time. The menu is creative and it is all really well executed. Don't pass on the lobster nachos. The ceviche was also amazing and definitely order something off of their award winning margarita menu. We will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville.

    As is customary, the food was very good. The service was very good, always present when needed and also invisible. Our server also made recommendations on wine and dessert that were well done.

    We’ve been coming to Asheville for years and this is always a stop we must make. They are consistently excellent and one of our faves in the area. This meal was no different. Food, drinks and service all on point.

    My wife and I were in town for an afternoon concert and decided to try Limonis for dinner.  our server was Tiffany, and she was attentive and very professional, despite being very very busy. From 5 o’clock. The moment the doors opened the restaurant was full and stay that way right our entire evening. Our food was fresh and very very uniquely innovative. The lobster nachos were delicious, but not at all when we expected. In frankly, I’m more traditional approach to plating would’ve been more enjoyable. The avocado Tartar and smoked salmon, was unique and very delicious. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly delicious. My wife’s lamb had a nice flavor but was slightly over cooked and a little tough.  The margaritas, however, were incredibly large, so pace yourself. My blood orange was slightly tart and delicious while my wife enjoy the coconut margarita. Neither of us had room for dessert, but they had some interesting choices, and we look forward to coming back and trying them.

    Outstanding Mexican food in North Carolina! It's as good as any Mexican food I've had in Houston or Mexico. The lobster nachos were amazing, the Adobo brisket tacos will make your tongue slap your face. My wife had butternut mizo soup and fish asado and loved it! The first Mexican food she's enjoyed since she's been in the states. Staff here is excellent! This place alone is worth the 2 hour drive from Knoxville to eat here. Sabrina was our waitress and was great, but several of the other staff checked on us and brought our food. The waitress just showed up with 2 glasses of champagne, on the house for our anniversary.

    A remarkable dinner. Just perfect. Excellent wine. Scallop dish was devine, lamb dish delicious. And we finished with a tres Leche, which was light and luscious at the same time. Very professional staff. Very organized and impressive operation.

    This was my second time to dine here. We returned because I love the ceviche sampler and good cocktails. My husband lived his empanadas and chile relleno. Last night the restaurant sent a piece of tres lèche cake to my table for my birthday. So cool! We intend to dine here each time we travel to Asheville. First rate Latin restaurant!

    My partner and I had a great time dining here. The only thing I had issue with was the hostess. She was bad at gauging how busy it was when she sat us. Not at a table like we reserved, but the squished corner of the bar between a couple and a single diner. The whole middle/main part of the bar was empty so she could’ve sat us there instead. Since we originally reserved a table, we were pretty bummed about getting placed right there. It ended up being a really great night. The food was spectacular, the food runners were very efficient and our bartender gave us fantastic service even at the height of it being busy. Just wish the start of our dining experience went a little smoother.

    Dinner at Limoges is one of the best dining experiences we have had. Appetizers, dinner and dessert were creative, well prepared, and presented attractively. Street Corn was good and the pork chop was very good. Bread Pudding was the best I have had. The server was very helpful but careful limit interactions to what was needed. Overall it was a great evening. Thank you.

    I was disappointed in our visit . The food is overpriced for what you receive. We ordered a few things . The Mushroom tostado was only 1 and it was priced at $13! ( and it was small) We also got the empanadas and they were small for $12( total of 3) . We left with 2 items and 2 glasses of wine for $70 with tip! Will not return

    Always excellent in every way. Got to try the chicken and rice soup last night. Haven’t seen it on the menu before. I loved it. Pulled chicken, rice, perfect veggies and a pop of fresh cilantro. The scallops entree was delicious and as it happened the Conundrum white was a beautiful pairing. The black bass ancho fish entree was a revelation. The sauce was just like lobster bisque. Amazing and delicious.

    We made a reservation for the bar seating which was the only option open at our time preference which was a lovely experience. The server/bartender, Devlin, was friendly and helpful and offered great food recommendations. The food was delicious! reservations highly recommended!

    We had a variety of small plates and all were delicious. The ceviche made with red drum was excellent as was the lobster nachos and mushroom tostada. The Gigantic Bean entre was not our favorite. Both cockails were delicious. The service was top notch. Highly recommend!

    We sat at the bar and had a tremendous bartender who was very knowledgeable about the menu and super nice to chat with. The lobster nachos was just about the best thing my husband and I have ever eaten. I was still thinking about them the next morning!! The atmosphere is sleek and modern, great for a date night!! We ate at several restaurants while visiting Asheville and this was definitely our favorite! We can’t wait to come back again!

    We were really excited because of all the hype surrounding Limones but unfortunately it did not live up to its recommendations. The margaritas were unbalanced with too much lime juice. When using fresh lime, you need more agave to balance the acidity. Our server was great and was very attentive but the food was mediocre at best. The street corn was the best thing we ordered - highly recommend that!

    Small plates menu needs improvement. We ordered tapas and were dissapointed by the lack of flavor and variety. There were lots of supermarket corn chips included in most of the tapas. It felt like we were earing the same thing. We didn't try the main pkates. Pricing and selection of wine bottles were good though.
