Around the corner from the Fine Arts Theater in downtown Asheville, Limones Restaurant provides an inspirational mix of Mexican and Californian cuisine along with inventive bar selections served by a warm, professional staff. Long before working and training under some of San Francisco’s most talented chefs, Hugo Ramirez was raised on the intense and varied flavors native to his hometown of Mexico City. In fact, he still calls on his mother for the secrets of traditional Mexican dishes, which he reinvents in innovative and surprising ways. At Limones, Hugo’s love of Mexican food is combined with his training in french-influenced California cuisine.

We loved our date night at Limones! Garry, our server, was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the menu! We had a great time with him! The ceviche, lobster nachos and chile relleno were wonderful and great margaritas too! We will be back!

Nice restaurant with a slight twist to the menu. Not a Mexican or Latin restaurant but the food was tasty and the preparation was upscale and excellent.

The cocktails, drinks, and food are delicious. Our server was courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. The restaurant is a great vibe, nice and also relaxed.

We’ve lived in Asheville for 10 years, and Limones is ALWAYS our “go to” restaurant when we want a special to celebrate a special occasion or we want to impress out-of-town guests. Their menu offers a unique and fun selections for the main course, their specialty cocktails are terrific, and the service is friendly, personable and accommodating. (Garry, our server last night, is adorable!). I like the fact that the staff is a nice reflection of Asheville’s particular diversity is a big plus! The atmosphere is calm and warm, and the acoustics allow for great conversation. (If you are vegan, ask the server to have Chef assemble a “Vegan Surprise.” He’ll throw together a compilation of whatever plant-based sides are on the menu that day! Yummy!) We’ll be back soon… another birthday is coming up! Why can I not give you SIX stars?? lol. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Limones is one of our favorite Asheville restaurants. We come back every year. Love the Margarita selection. My favorite is the Caliente. We enjoyed short rib enchiladas and Carne Asada for our entrees. Bread pudding delicious choice for dessert. See you next year!

We have dined at Limones for years and it never disappoints. Creativity and delightful flavors are found in both the drink and food menu. If you're visiting Asheville you need to experience Limones.

Great atmosphere. The lighting was very mood setting for a comfortable and elegant evening. Food was very high quality and prepared perfectly. The margaritas were perfect with plenty of choices. I would definitely recommend them. If you are looking for a very a nice meal and a very comfortable atmosphere this is the place to come.

We had eaten at Limones at least twice over ten years ago, and recommended it to everyone, but we live in Johnson City and hadn't visited Limones again in all that time, trying out all the other restaurants when we came to Asheville (a few times/year). We were quite excited to meet up with a son and a friend so many years later for a delicious meal. We especially enjoyed the friendly, professional services of Xavier, our waiter, who was very patient with all the times we changed our mind while ordering. He was a big part of our meal being as enjoyable as it was. We'll be back more often!
