Limoncello - Chester Springs
Very friendly staff. Busy Friday evening, but did not impact service. Will be back.
We went for lunch and sat outside which was nice altho the metal chairs would have been more comfortable if they had cushions.
I had the fig/argula flatbread pizza which was very good; I would only suggest that since it was a flatbread it could have been thinner which I was expecting, this flatbread was thick like a regular pizza. Other than that it was great.
My friend had the penne with seafood which was excellent.
Another suggestion would be to include one or two low carb options other than salad for those of us who are watching our carbs. Thank you!
Limoncello Chester Springs overall was a good dining experience, but not a terrific dining experience. It is worth another visit on a future evening.
So many issues - I'm in the business and your restaurant was referred. I took my family. Nothing was positive except for the food. Word for the day is "Training."
We all had the buffet so it is hard to comment on the offerings on the menu. Next time I will try something different. Everyone enjoyed what they had and went back for seconds.
We went for my daughter's birthday. I had made the reservation (for 5 of us) about a month prior. We arrived early, checked in and asked for the dining room, and said we wanted to get a drink at the bar first - no problem. When we came back to the hostess (10 mins past our reservation time) they seated us in "The Box" which is an area of tables behind the bar. They put us in a booth. The seating in the booth was totally destroyed - the leather-ette was pulled up to the bare backing and the seating on the other side (also a bench) was awfully uncomfortable - springs, sagging and the table hit between two cushions of different levels).
The meal was so-so. My husband and two others loved theirs, but my daughter and I did not care for ours at all - bland.
Dinner was very good. The food took almost an hour to get to us, but we weren’t in a real rush so we enjoyed the conversation time.
Very nice restaurant to meet family and friends. Food is always exceptional. Enjoy the BYOB on designated evenings. Our waitress Courtney was very good.
Had a great dinner at the Chester Springs location to celebrate my birthday. Service and food was excellent. A little noisy, but not as loud as the West Chester location. Would prefer dining at this location over the one in town.
Delicious as always! Came here spur of the moment to visit with out of town friends-our food was delicious and service was on point. We have been coming here for years and we have never been disappointed with our dinner. Perfect go-to for authentic Italian cuisine. Portion sizes are overly generous (for pasta-you probably get about a half pound) -so I suggest that if you are carb/calorie counting, ask for a box with your meal so you can control your portions, before you dig in.
Wonderful, unique appetizers, luscious cocktails, and a great selection of entrees. We dined there while staying overnight in Exton. What a great chouce—we wish Limoncello was in New Jersey!
Seated immediately, our server Christine was professional, personable and attentive. Drinks were a good size, food portions were some of the biggest I’ve seen in a restaurant in a long time. Every one of the 4 of us had something delicious and all devoured everything. Always consistently good service, food and lively atmosphere. Will return and highly recommend!
I had dinner at Limoncello's this past week in Chester Springs. I have to say for the first time I was really disappointed in my dinner. I had Chicken Limoncello which I always get when going to this restaurant. The chicken was tough and there was barely a hint of lemon in the sauce. After dinner I had a cannoli and it was horrible. It was too sugary and tasted like cookie dough. We were never offered complimentary Linoncello cordial. Our waitress was pleasant and the servers were polite. I have been to both Limoncello locations before and have never been disappointed. This was a first. I would give this restaurant one more chance.
We dined with friends from out of town. We had a very good meal, and excellent service. What brought down this rating was the restaurant itself.
It looked dirty. The first impression approaching the exterior was of disarray. Chairs out of place, fountains not working, just not very inviting. Inside the chairs were worn, the salt and pepper were greasy, and one of the cutlery services was filthy. They serve the grated cheese in a lovely little bucket, but it was greasy and full of fingerprints. It was enough to make one wonder if these things exist in plain sight, what goes on behind the scene?
Server was excellent
Really enjoyed our birthday celebration for a friend. Service was wonderful as was the food.
Our appetizer with grilled calamari in it was excellent and the vodka penne with seafood was so light and delicious as well as the salad with salmon. We will will return!
We were celebrating Fathers day. It is not often you can really enjoy dining out on a busy annual celebration. The food was very good, the noise level was fine (a lot of people talking/laughing and we could still carry on a conversation)
Our waitress had a very nice manner and even though you knew she was rushed, she took the time to check on all of us to see that we were enjoying our selves, needed any more water etc.
Returning customer. 3rd visit. Beautiful restaurant and amazing service from start to finish. Drinks wonderfully mixed. Food delicious and fresh. Our server was wonderful and made sure everything was to
Our liking. Very consistent in quality every visit.
My husband and I are frequent visitors of Limoncello in Chester Springs and we usually have such a positive experience there. This experience, unfortunately was just fair. The food was good and the outside dining was pleasant. However, our waitress was awful. She took forever to serve us, never brought bread, we had more interaction with the busboy than we did our waitress. We both come from hospitality backgrounds in our younger years so we are understanding 99% of the time. But this time it just wasn’t good. The restaurant just wasn’t busy enough to justify her poor service. My husband said something to the manager and he took care of us which we absolutely appreciated. We will continue to go to Limoncello because of the manager and hope that we don’t get that same waitress or she gets retrained.
Our server Courtney was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and very helpful on our food choices. The food was outstanding and the amount of food was unbelievable. I highly recommend Limoncello.
Great food and service!
Food and service was wonderful. As noted in other reviews the tables are very close together. Wish we had a little more room and privacy
Just meeting a friend but loved it!
Limoncello is one of our favorite restaurants and we love going there. The only unfortunate thing (for me) is that they are lacking in vegan options. It would be great if they added some of those to the menu. Other than that, it's a great place for a family meal.
Server was great. Very polite. I asked him to put a candle in a dessert my wife ordered and he did. Appreciated that.
We have been here a few times before. The food is always very good and priced fairly reasonably. This time, the kitchen staff and wait staff did not seem to coordinating. Bread was brought half-way through the appetizer course and only after we asked for it. Then they brought out 2 of the 4 entrees before we had gotten thorough only half of the appetizer. Additionally, the person bringing out the entrees was referring to them in Spanish, so we didn't know if they were ours. We sent them back and finished the appetizers. At the appropriate time, all 4 entrees came out. We ordered 3 desserts --1 came out with the coffees; the waitress had to go find out about the other 2. It wasn't an overly busy night, so not sure why they had such a hard time getting it all together. Despite the experience, we'll probably be back since the food is good.
We were seated outside as we requested and the table was in a perfect location to celebrate a second anniversary. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely amazing. The Fruitti de Mare Appetizer was spectacular.
Not worth returning to. We had late reservations yet and restaurant wasn’t busy yet food was slow getting to the table and was also cold.
Great food and service. Would like to have a couple minutes between salad and entree. I just put my fork down as did my spouse and the entree was upon us. Appreciate fast but let table be cleared first before entree delivered.
We had heard a lot of good things about the restaurant and were eager to try it. We choose to eat there for our daughter's birthday celebration and are vegetarian Wednesdays and Fridays so we were looking forward to a good pasta dish. Although the food was generally very good, we were surprised that the service wasn't a bit better. Not only was the wait staff slow and forgetful, but the parmesan was not freshly grated (came in a bowl pre-grated - looked like the store bought kind to be honest) and the oil was not prepared for you for the bread either. No sea salt option or other spices - just the regular salt, pepper and red pepper flakes on the table. We are accustomed to restaurants being a little more fine-tuned with their service at this level. Perhaps nit-picky but we were surprised. They also did nothing (not even wish a happy birthday) to acknowledge our daughter's birthday despite indicating the occasion when we made the reservation and mentioning it at least twice during the meal with the wait staff. That being said, the food was definitely good so we may revisit but not for a special occasion/outing. We expected more but came out of it feeling like an olive garden or carrabas is about equal to this experience (and perhaps they are better in some respects). If it's convenient for you, definitely go for a decent italian meal.
Fantastic food and atmosphere! Family had a great time.
Our waitress dis a great job with us after we learned it was graduation night and we were there for a business dinner
We've been there for both lunch and dinner and it's been exceptional both times. We WILL return!
Limoncello’s serves delicious Italian food and the restaurant is beautiful with a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Alfresco dining available spring through fall. Limoncello is first class!
Food was excellent with plenty of variety to choose from. Only one in our group didn't care for her meal, which was the braised short rib ravioli, as the sauce was too watery. I had the seafood alla vodka, and others in our party had the rigatoni alla Giuseppe and lobster ravioli, all of which were very good.
Very loud, pasta with meal was runny and tasteless
Very nice eatery. We stopped for lunch after a K graduation and the guest of honor had a lovely time. The server is a star and could easily be welcomed to a fine dining eatery.
As always, great food, great portion size and great service.
The food is always excellent at Limoncello
