   Celebrated a bday here. Hard to reach staff for planning but once I got the email for an Asst Director of Food/Beverage at the Public Hotel I was well taken care of. Good service and decor the day of the event.

   We had never heard of the place. It was nice. The $24 burger left much to desire. The salad was great. The martini's were good and not so good. My wife's was good. Mine had an aftertaste that was bitter. We definitely want to go back. We liked it, but we won't order the burger again. And I will have a chat about the martini with the bar tender. Don't expect your drink to come soon after you order. It will come, but not fast.

   What a great find! It was like enjoying delicious cocktails and appetizers in a friend's swanky library. I will definitely be going back in the future!

   We did not get any food as it was past midnight when the kitchen closed. We had planned for a late snack which is why I used open table. I don't understand why it is listed on open table if no food is being served. Not even a nut or olive was offered. But the service staff are very friendly and attractive.

   We made the OpenTable reservation a couple of hours before our arrival. When we got there, the host had only a printout of reservations from the beginning of the day or the day before and no access to current OpenTable reservations. When we asked about making sure we got checked into their OpenTable to avoid a now show on my account, he exclaimed that he didn't even know when they (Library) used it and that perhaps we could go over to the Public side and ask them. What?! We got lucky and didn't wait long to be seated. We all had drinks we really enjoyed, and it was an entertaining atmosphere. We probably had just enough time for a second round, but our server didn't come back until we were almost ready to go.

   Our servers were attentive. The food was amazing. Small plates and dinner menu for a group of 8. Absolutely perfect! Great wine and beer selection. Lovely vibe! Fun night. Repeat soon.

   They sat us in the back lounge/room which I really didn't enjoy. The waitress was polite but not very attentive.

    There was no host/hostess at The Library. Walked in, the place was packed with no open seats and nobody to greet us. Looked rather like a free for all. Walked over to the dining room and there was seating available in the main dining room. Drinks, meal, dessert, service was incredible. Music was fantastic. Very bizarre experience that turned out well, but this had nothing to do with The Library because never talked/saw/had anything to do anybody from there.
