Wonderful in every way. Perfect food. Excellent choices. Lovely space (and no screens). Every bite was delicious. The staff was friendly and gracious.
I treated a life-long friend for her birthday. We've had many good meals together. She said this was one of the top 3 dining experiences ever; she wants to come back every year. I hope we will.
An incredible restaurant, truly good food. You cannot make a bad option here, every food choice is excellently crafted. The waiters will take the time to explain every food option, and yes, jackets are required for men. A simple sport coat will suffice.
Always fantastic food and service. Our first indoor dining after getting our second vaccine shots.
The nicest dining experience I have ever had. Knowledgable staff, amazing atmosphere, and exceptional food.
Been here 3 times and it never fails to impress.
As always, Les Nomades does not disappoint. We had a lovely & memorable evening enjoying a delicious dinner.
Wonderful romantic evening in a lovely dining room.
Red mohair booths and real fireplace added to the relaxing atmosphere. Attentive service by a friendly staff
The Sommelier’s wine recommendation was spot on.
The meal was almost too beautiful to eat.
A dozen different flavors even before the final soufflé.
Les Nomades has there best service on the business. The food is always perfect. They aim for perfection.
The ambiance is cozy and quiet.
We had the 5 course prix fixe. Grant Achatz could not do better.
Every course was done perfectly.
The fois gras was from heaven.
We will return often.
Never disappointed when we have dinner at Les Nomades. Food is superb and the wonderful service and tranquil nature are restorative when eating out in Chicago. The wait staff is the best in Chicago, they are not over solicitous, but rather polite and always careful not to interrupt conversations. Food is exceptional - we both had sole, incredible preparation and very enjoyable. Appetizers are always incredibly wonderful - portions are sufficient to stimulate one's appetite and not overwhelm it. There is always a special and wonderful dish on the menu.
Fantastic food and service.
One of my first in-door experiences felt safe, sophisticated and long awaited. Mary Beth has invested time and effort into making Les Nomades very welcoming to all who venture in after months of take-out from Les Nomades. Each course was better than the next, perfectly prepared and plated exquisitely. It was very lovely to feel normal eating out again.
It was so great to be back at Les Nomades! Everything was perfect and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. It was a great classic dining experience that we will be doing again in the near future.
Les Nomades never disappoints. The portions are large compared to other pre fixe restaurants.
Service is always attentive but never snooty. We love this place.
Fantastic. The ambience, cuisine, and attentive to detail are unsurpassed in Chicago. Highly recommend.
So very happy to have Les Nomades back! Outstanding in every way - wine, cuisine & service. A Chicago gem!
Our first night eating out in 11 1/2 months, Les N. was perfect. Staff, a first rate team. Menu choices, fit for a full pre-Covid dining experience. Our entrees were sole with a delicious tarragon sauce, turbot with wild rice and selected veggies in a surrounding chorus.
We were delighted to see this classic French restaurant back in form!
Great service and food to celebrate having gotten bit our vaccines!
Elegant vintage atmosphere; attentive staff exhibits excellent teamwork to execute flawless experience; amazingly creative, truly delicious food presentations. The tables are always well spaced, particularly appreciated with new protocols. Mary Beth is a gracious hostess; Nicolas is such a knowledgeable sommelier, so helpful with wine recommendations; Josie did an excellent job of guiding us through the menu.
Can’t say enough good things about the service, food, and ambience. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious as well as very nicely presented. There were plenty of options on the pre fixe menu. I barely had enough room for dessert but managed to squeeze in a few bites of wonderfully made flourless chocolate cake.
Outstanding food, wine selection, and presentation. Wonderful ambiance, with knowledgeable, friendly and efficient wait staff. Multiple course meal experience with perfect timing...professional and refined. Often excelled with no disappointments.
Another enjoyable evening at Les Nomades. The service as always was incredibly polite and warm. Despite the restaurant having a formal atmosphere and dress code the staff prevent it from being stuffy through their extremely friendly and engaging style.
The menu was well presented although perhaps a little over-use of demi glace red wine reduction which featured in multiple dishes served to our group. The wine list remains excellent with a very broad reach and is thoughtfully put together. Markups are significant especially for the French selections but you have to expect that at a restaurant of this caliber. Ambience is very warm and cosy - especially nice on a cold winter evening to be greeted with a roaring fire.
We look forward to our next visit !
Amazing dinner for our anniversary weekend!! Excellent 5 course meal with great wine list. Great service and ambience. Amazing French meal. Highly recommended!!
What a glorious way to break out of the COVID stay-at-home mode! Every effort was made to ensure dining in safety. Add to that the delectable menu offerings, and heaven has come near to earth! Fois gras, house paté, wild mushroom soup, lamb two ways, sea bass, each with its own flourishes, were some of our choices. Champagne to begin, and wine pairings suggested by our waiter, Carlos, after hearing our dinner choices, added to our pleasure. And dessert--oh my! Hazelnut soufflé and flourless chocolate cake were the stuff dreams are made of. Coffee and tea service was not an afterthought, but well-chosen as the fine finish our meal deserved.
Bar none one of the most amazing culinary experiences in Chicago. Chef Roland and staff do amazing job, from presentation to finish, everything is perfect. We can’t wait to return!
Outstanding experience of service and quality!
This is the definition of fine dining!
We had (our usual) wonderful experience at Les Nomades for our 30th anniversary dinner. The service was attentive but not overly so. The food was excellent.
This is our favorite restaurant in all Chicago. Elegant, without stuffiness, beautiful food, seamless service, and a serene environment. Worth every penny.
The service was outstanding, the servers were very attentive without seeming "in your face." I really enjoyed the pace at which the courses were brought out, and the food was so good, and there needs to be a better word than good. It was beyond good. Delicious. Everything carefully prepared and plated. We enjoyed the tastings sent to the table by the chef. We enjoyed our wine selection. Overall this was a wonderful experience, although bittersweet as it was the last night of service due to another Covid shut down beginning the next day.
Perfect in every way
Not much to say really, average food priced way too high for what it was, food wasn’t hot enough in almost every course, head waiter was loud and not professional.
Great place to celebrate something special
Everything to the service, food, wine selection, and ambiance is incredible. This place is excellent for a special occasion where you're looking for a dinner to remember.
Beautiful dining room, impeccable service, wonderful food at a reasonable price and an overall great experience.
This is a very special place and the food is always excellent.
Good wine list and staff makes great wine recommendations. Friendly, relaxed. Great for those who love French food and those who are new to it. Tables well distanced for covid times. The kitchen will surprise you with small offerings between courses, gratis.
We had a wonderful experience. The food was magnificent and we loved it. Only minor item I would suggest is for the wine pairings we would have enjoyed a better desc of each wine that was paired with the tasting menu items.
We celebrated my wife's birthday at Les Nomades this past week and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was hushed and elegant, the service was impeccable, and every course in the 5 course dinner we enjoyed was perfectly prepared. We both agreed that it was one of the finest dinner experiences we have had while living in Chicago, where we have been enjoying fine dining for nearly 50 year.
We can’t say enough about the elegance of this restaurant. Beautiful flower arrangements, Art Deco chandeliers, and attentive quiet service. Each course of our meal was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Every ingredient complemented the dish. Wine list is impressive.
A wonderful meal. Carlos was attentive and made excellent wine suggestions. A subdued ambience perfect for a romantic dinner
Les Nomades is one of only a few remaining Chicago restaurants that serve true contemporary French cuisine. The food and the atmosphere are both superb and the service is impeccable. Mary Beth Liccioni and Roland Liccioni have been fixtures on the Chicago fine dining scene for many years and hopefully will continue to be for many more years to come.
Les Nomades is rated 4.9 stars by 1728 OpenTable diners.
