They have mastered the art of fine dining at les nomades, a nearly lost art! Food, service, and atmosphere impeccable. Excellent food served at a proper pace with marvelous wine choices to accompany. Not inexpensive or fast but worth every dollar and hour. Saw one review that was misleading, suggested not a good choice for vegetarians, but with a call ahead they readily accommodated my vegetarian wife. A high note, waiter noted we were excited about stuffed zucchini blossom and ultimately made sure the chef included more of them in the vegetarian main course. Can’t wait for return visit!

Excellent meal for two: mushroom risotto and scallop/soft shell crab appetizers, mushroom soup and romaine lettuce salad second courses, loup de mer and prime rib main courses, and chocolate cake and peach tart desserts. Superb service and quiet ambience. A great date night!

The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. We were celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday and it couldn’t have been better. We live in Dallas and have dined in some of finest restaurants in town. We would rank Les Nomades among the best. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to dine there,

Great restaurant! Service was perfect, the food some of the best we have ever had. We did the 5 course prefix. Foie Gras was outstanding, the warm lobster salad incredible, one of the best duck entrees I have ever had. Pair this with perfect service and it was a very special night. ****Reminder - men are required to wear jackets****

Elegance reigns at Les Nomades. The hushed tones of an elegant party which you have been fortunate enough to be invited to await you. The lamb and veal entree is perfectly paired and prepared as is the Dover sole. And the chocolate dessert promises and delivers a chocolate coma.

Our annual anniversary dinner at Les Nomades was, as usual, a complete pleasure EXCEPT for the foursome next to us who neglected to read the note on the menu that asks guests to speak in a low voice. Why do people insist on behaving as if they are the only ones in the restaurant? I digress. The food was divine, the service attentive (but not annoying), and it was a true delight to be there.

It was surprisingly noisy given its previous reputation for requiring a quiet ambiance. We four were seated next to a large group of loud people on the second floor. (Two of our party were back to back with several of their party.)I noticed on our way upstairs that the noise level on the first floor was also surprisingly loud. Our party had trouble carrying on our own conversation. When the group next to us finally left during our dessert course, the noise level in the curtained off area of the second floor suddenly became very loud. I personally was very disappointed in the "new" ambiance and cheek-by-jowl table placement at Les Nomades. I would think twice before recommending the restaurant to friends.

I enjoyed my meal at this classic French restaurant. I enjoyed the interesting wine list. The restaurant was not full, yet the staff had trouble keeping up, but they were trying very hard. I understand that restaurants are short staffed, so it was not a big issue for me. I like that they make the men wear a jacket and the formality of the service.

Take this review with a grain of salt -- my wife and I try a large variety of Chicago restaurants and typically prefer hip contemporary places or Michelin star venues. Most places in Chicago that fit this are for the 45 and under crowd that are looking for something new and lively. Les Nomades seemed to be appealing to a much older crowd that values tradition, quiet, dark interior, familiar dishes. If that is what someone is looking for, Les Nomades will be great for you. For us, it wasn't a perfect fit, especially at this price point. Delicious food, but very traditional. Nothing wowed us, it was pretty standard French cuisine. We'd prefer more contemporary French or even Bistro style, much better value at a lower price point. Interior felt bland as opposed to minimalist, could use some remodeling to freshen up the style.

Everything about Les Nomades is exquisite. That made our disappointment with the Dover Sole the exception. It was surprisingly “full flavored” and chewy. Our experience was warm and pleasurable nonetheless.

This is my new ‘go to’ for classic French cuisine and ambience. The food and service was outstanding. Everyone was polite and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and had whatever we needed. It is worth every penny of the price. Merci beaucoup, Les Nomades. Remaquable!

We returned to Les Nomades after 10 years, not sure why we waited so long! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, we felt ultimately pampered. The food was exquisite, and the service was impeccable. A gem in the heart of Streeterville not to be overlooked! We'll return again, sooner rather than later.

Outstanding in all areas. We celebrated our anniversary & couldn’t have asked for more. This is by far the best dining experience in Chicago. No pretenses here. Elegant surroundings decorated in an understated manner. Delicious food plated to please the eye & the palate. Service was was accommodating without being intrusive. Bravo!

The food and atmosphere were great. Unfortunately, the adjacent table failed to observe the admonition of the restaurant to keep the sound level of conversation muted. This is a wonderful, old-style dining experience. The chef understands food. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall, a very nice dining experience for my partner and me.

INCREDIBLE!!! Dining at Les Nomades is an unforgettable experience. Classic French cuisine cooked to perfection. The waitstaff are well trained. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant, yet not stuffy. Unlike restaurants that try to wow you with every crazy concoction they can come up with, Les Nomades is traditional food that exceptional. It's pricey, but worth every penny.
