Les Nomades is one of only a few remaining Chicago restaurants that serve true contemporary French cuisine. The food and the atmosphere are both superb and the service is impeccable. Mary Beth Liccioni and Roland Liccioni have been fixtures on the Chicago fine dining scene for many years and hopefully will continue to be for many more years to come.
From the moment you walk into the restaurant they make you feel like you and your guest are the most important people in the restaurant.
Fresh Flowers in different places throughout. Food and Presentation is Fantastic.
A very First Class Dining Experience.....
First class service, amazing food, great atmosphere
Very attentive from start to finish! José helped us with the French wines and explained everything beautifully! Thank you for a wonderful birthday celebration.
Best restaurant in Chicago hands down , best food, ambiance, wine list !
Absolutely amazing meal as always!
The food and service were extraordinary! Every course was delicious. Service was superb.
Food and service were amazing. A very special place!
Food was outstanding and excellent service right from start to end of the dining experience
This is an elegant and superb French restaurant of which there are very few in Chicago. The price reflects this but everything is well worth it. An intimate setting helps make it a very special event destination. While we celebrate special occasions, this time we simply celebrated "it's Friday".
Les Nomades is fine dining at it's best. Period! It's a culinary journey for the most discriminating palate.
The welcoming and knowledgeable staff greet you and make you feel like part of the family through the entire experience . The presentations are as described and exceed expectations while the suggested wines paired beautifully with the meal. The soufflés are always a wonderful way to end the evening. I will definitely return!
As always, the ambiance, service and food were perfect. A quiet, pleasant evening and I look forward to returning.
Excellent food, exquisite deserts, outstanding service. You will not be disappointed!
Is Les Nomades the finest restaurant in the US not to have a Michelin star ? This is the question I was asking myself when dining there last Saturday evening. Everything was flawless - from the friendly greeting, to the expert advice on menu and wine list, to the dinner service itself - tables spaced sufficiently apart, ambience of the room, food quality & presentation, and so on. One touch which I have never seen before anywhere - we ordered a half bottle of white and a half bottle of red. The red came in a mini decanter designed for a half bottle, and the white had its own mini ice bucket - such a thoughtful touch.
This is a jewel of a place and we will return soon. Bravo to the owners and staff for such a magnificent performance.
Great food, great wine and great service! What else can be said?
Wonderful food and service. Great for a special occasion.
Les Nomades is definitely a special occasion restaurant, and we went for my birthday. The service is always excellent, as is the food. I had their meat special, venison, and it was fabulous. Really my only criticism is that the tables are quite close together and even though people don't talk loudly, it's fairly easy to hear other conversations. Otherwise it's great for a lovely evening out.
Great ambiance, service and food.
What a great bday dinner. Good food, good company and good service! Enjoyed not being rushed and savoring my dinner and family. Thank you, and worth every penny
Always a wonderful experience.
We had an amazing dinner last Wednesday. Everything was perfect, The ambience, the chef’s skills of the taste and presentation of each course.
Definitely Michelin star!!!
Of the 150 restaurants in Chicago I have visited over the years, Les Nomades is probably my favorite. The cuisine, wines, ambiance, clientele and service are all excellent. Reminds one of French dining, the old fashioned way. I will be back.
It’s always a treat to dine here. The food presentation is lovely and just adds to the dining experience. We drive approximately 1.75 hours but it’s a special occasion to celebrate my husband’s birthday and worth the time! Will definitely be back for another memorable evening as soon as possible!
Great food and service. Pleasant atmosphere and quiet. Quite pricy.
Our favorite French restaurant in Chicago. A quiet atmosphere, impeccable service and classic French food. The 4 course prix fixe menu is a great bargain. We were there for my 66th birthday. The service was well paced. We could see the fireplace from our table. Started with oysters. Outstanding. The venison special was absolutely perfect. Flourless chocolate cake was fantastic. Coffee souffle' was very good. We try to dine at Les Nomades every time we are in Chicago.
There is nothing like Les Nomades in Chicago! Always a delight!
Los Nomades is a true dining experience. Your are treated as though you are the only guests,
Except coffee not hot enough
Les Nomades never fails. The food is perfectly prepared. The variety of the menu means there is something for everyone. Service is excellent. One of our favorite places to eat in Chicago.
We went to Les Nomades for the first time to celebrate a very special birthday for my husband. We heard it was an excellent restaurant and we love French food. We did not expect the level of food, service and quality we received. They made us feel like royalty!! Every course was delicious beyond our expectations. The wine list was expansive and offered 1/2 bottles of wine. We left feeling spoiled. The next day, we kept talking about our great experience at Les Nomades!
I'm from the era when classic French restaurants dominated the Chicago dining scene. I so fondly remember Jovan, Le Perroquet, L'Escargot, and Le Frances in Wheeling. These and many others are all gone now. Thankfully Les Nomades is not. Going to Les Nomades is a delightful trip into a time machine. It maintains the elegance, style, and fine dining experience of days gone by. It also remains the only classic French restaurant of its kind in the city anymore. I'll probably post a much more detailed of a description of our experience in a blog, but suffice it to say if you want a very special evening out that few, if any, current Chicago restaurants can provide, this is where you want to go.
Best French restaurant in Chicago. Deserves a Michelin star.
Classic French food at its best. Every detail is perfect. Service is impeccable We look forward to next time!!
Always reliable and beyond excellent. Exceptional service
Elegant surroundings, impeccable yet friendly service, exquisite food and wine. We are already planning our next visit! The four course menu is satisfying but not too much. We loved it.
