Leo's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We have eaten at Leo's a number of times and it is probably our favorite restaurant in Worcester. The service is very good and the prices are reasonable, but it is the food that keeps bringing us back. While not as "upscale" as other places in Worcester, the food is better than almost all of them. I had veal this trip and you could cut it with a fork.
I'll begin by stating that my entree, the Seafood Risotto, was amazing...but that's it. Our server seemed far too busy elsewhere to ensure we were taken care of the whole night. My first drink was offensively weak and the ice was nearly melted. My wife's martini was very mediocre and her Captain n' Coke was absolutely NOT Captain. We were given the wrong appetizer and then treated like idiots upon suggesting it. We had high hopes and perhaps Worcester's other Italian restaurants have spoiled us, but we will never waste our time and money on Leo's again.
A wonderful little Italian place on the edge of downtown. Huge (with a capital H) portions and a super friendly wait staff. Fairly typical Italian fare but done very well and not over salted (like so many family owned Italian joints tend to do). Recommended for casual dinners or informal celebrations.
We always enjoy our visits to Leo's. This past time we met friends there. The food is always exceptional and the servers couldn't be nicer. I wasn't aware they were part of the Open Table reservation system. I'm glad I stumbled upon it. We're already looking forward to our next visit there.
We requested seating in the bar area with another couple in order to avail ourselves of the Wednesday pizza special.
The staff, very friendly includes the owner and members of the family. Rose, Chris, and Jill were there greeting patrons by name and adding to the warm ambience.
Our drink orders were taken promptly as we reviewed the menu.
A wonderful selection of Italian dishes with many varieties of pizza.
We shared two pizzas and they were delicious. They reminded us of the original Boston north end oven baked with crispy crust and plenty of toppings.
We had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely return.
Due to graduation days for multiple colleges in Worcester could not get into Via's which we've eaten at before. We were coming from out of state so took a friends recommendation on Leo's This was a pleasant surprise with very nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. I think the food equally on par too. The restaurant was full but never had to struggle hearing everyone at the table. I can certainly recommend this restaurant when in Worcester.
Leo's Ristorante was perfect for our family to celebrate our daughter's college graduation!
The food was terrific and plentiful! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Service was top notch and with our Open Table reservations, we were seated almost immediately! The only negative would be the parking was a bit confusing. They have two signs posted near the entrance, however, one sign makes it look like parking to the right is available. But another sign indicates that it is a tow zone. We had to move the car to the correct parking area (to the left of the building).
We went to Leo's to celebrate a few things going on in our family. It just wasn't special enough. There are so many restaurants at this price-point now, that no one could justify the fact that it was just okay. One of us ordered the prime rib to be med rare -- when it came to the table, it was already med-well with just a touch of pink that slowly faded as the meat rested. The answer from the staff was that they cannot do pink. One of us ordered veal medallions and it was ground veal, rather than sliced. Just disappointing for the cost.
The food was good and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The only negative was that we were seated next to the kitchen and I ended up with a migraine from the constant banging. Recommend the restaurant just don't sit next to the kitchen.
We made a reservation on open table with a time listed. When we got there we were told no way they could honor it when it occurred the same day.
Why have the time on open table then???
We ended up getting a seat at the bar after waiting to be seated for at least 20 minutes with no one offering assistance. We went to the bar on our on ..
The food is great..wait service bar very good.
But why use open table for this restaurant..real confusion among staff as to what to do with us.
It has been quite awhile since we've been to Leo's and we were pleasantly surprised.
Both the bar area and the dining room were cozy and warm with candlelight and we were seated by the fireplace. Everyone enjoyed their food and service was very good. The restaurant was full but was not noisy at all. We will definitely be back. It's a gem!
I visited 3 weeks ago, tried the seafood risotto and couldn't wait to have it again. Went again last weekend and it was even better this time. Now my absolute favorite meal anywhere. Unfortunately the service wasn't great. We had 2 servers and they got confused. Should not double team. Also, the restaurant was very cold. My husband had to get a fleece out of the car for me to wear over my sweater because I didn't want to wear my heavy winter coat. Need to turn up the heat!
Arrived 45 minutes prior to our reservation; young man said we'd have to wait a bit. Went to the bar and ordered fried calamari app, Goose up and Cosmo; calamari was excellent and a good value, both cocktails were a very nice poor and barmaid was friendly and prompt...unfortunately, that was where our good experiences ended.
When our reservation time came & went, I checked with the hostess who did not appear to know that we had been waiting; we were seated almost immediately.
Our server, a pleasant young lady was very attentive but could do nothing to expedite our dinners which took over 1 hour to come out; apologies for a a slow kitchen die to a large private party and understaffing and an apology for my wife's shrimp with vodka sauce coming out over penne instead over angel hair pasta as requested. She was told that it could be redone but it might take quite some time. (Pure carelessness!) My eggplant parm was not eggplant parm; it was slices of very over cooked eggplant with a very minimal and scarce amount of mozzarella cheese sprinkled over it and some marinara sauce over that. My ziti fra diavolo was ziti with marinara.
Overall, pretty much a disaster.
We will not be returning nor recommending.
We had 6:30 reservations and were seated at 6:40 which was fine. We ordered drinks which came right away and then ordered our meals.
One and a half hours later we left.
No food came, no explanation , and no one from management would speak with us. Two other tabes left also for the same reason
