   I made a reservation at Leo's for a party of six at 6pm on April 29th. I made the reservation at least a week in advance. I received a confirmation from OpenTable the day prior to my reservation. Imagine my surprise then, when the first in my party to arrive, called me to say he had tried to check in for our reservation and was told that the restaurant was closed for a private party. He stepped outside to call me and let me know this and I sent him a screen shot of my OpenTable reservation to show the restaurant. But when he attempted to re-enter, the restaurant had LOCKED HIM OUT and would not even open the door to have a conversation. When I arrived, I also attempted to get someone's attention but they ignore us. This was during the week of the RSA conference at Moscone Center, so many restaurants were full and we had to scramble to find another location for our party of 6 which obviously delayed our plans, was extremely inconvenient, and put everyone in a bad mood to start our evening. It appeared from looking at reviews and talking to a couple outside the restaurant who were also trying to go inside that this is not the first time this restaurant has done this. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a dining establishment. If they had booked a private event, they should not have shown reservations even available on OpenTable and at the very least, if the event was schedule after I made my reservation, they should have shown me the courtesy of contacting me and letting me know they had to cancel so I could find a replacement before my friends all showed up at 6pm to discover we had no place to eat. And the locking out and refusing to even speak with us was just unacceptable and frankly, horrible, behavior. Needless to say, I will never eat at this restaurant, I will never recommend it to anyone, and for all of my colleagues and friends in San Francisco, I will spread the word not to touch this place with a ten-foot pole.

   I am very dissapointed with my experience. I went onto Open Table and picked the restaurant and made my reservation. I took an Uber across town and after I got dropped off I found out they were closed for a private event. I messaged them on Open Table and they ignored me.

   I used to love Leo's a for lunch when I worked in the city 8 years ago. My husband picked it randomly for our monthly date night in the city, and we absolutely LOVED it. The space is even more gorgeous at night, the glowing onyx bar is everything. They have the best raw bar, our oysters topped with caviar were amazing and the crudo plate with Salmon, Tuna and Hamachi was the best I have ever had. I would recommend ordering raw bar and lots of small plates to share over the entrees (with the exception of the fish and chips which were amazing) The owner gave us a tour of private event rooms in the back, both are so gorgeous and special. I booked "The Hideaway" for my sisters bachelorette party . Anna (the amazing owner) served us the most delicious rum punch, and planned the entire event for me on the spot. Leo's is very special.

   I took my wife here for Valentine's Day. The manager's chaotic energy completely ruined the vibe. She was just shouting in this small restaurant constantly, drawing everyone's attention to her almost making a scene. The food was incredibly overpriced and the service was terrible. The first "course" was kettle cooked potato chip the size of a quarter with a miniscule amount of caviar. They completely forgot to bring our second course. We had to ask about it and the second course was eventually served after we had already eaten about half of our main. The second "course" was what tasted like a King's Hawaiian roll with a bit of herbed butter with a very disappointing salad. The mains were decent, but there was absolutely no presentation. The service was also really bad. Empty plates stayed on the table for far too long, the server never introduced themselves, and they pretty much just slopped the plates down on the table and walked away without saying anything. This costs $145 per person by the way.

   Manger was squawking orders to staff over my shoulder the whole night. She was clearly on something the way she frantically managed and continually grinding her jax about. Food was wack and people were sat way too close together

   Will cut them a break because it was Valentines Dat, but service was chaotic and inattentive, and way way overpriced.

   We had a table in the back room where is a bit more quiet and we could enjoy a calm time in the room. Food and service were excellent as always. Love this place.

   I have been here before a few years ago and loved it, however, the food is not a good as it was my last visit. My husband and I ordered the tuna crudo and arugala salad to share, he had the risotto and I had the mussels. The risotto and the fries that came with the mussels were overly salty (the mussel broth was salty as well), the salad was overly drenched in dressing, very greasy. I think that these things could be greatly improved if they used 2/3 less salt and 2/3 less dressing. Seafood in general does not need that much salt. The ingredients seemed a quality standard but were ruined by heavy handed seasoning and dressing.

   An incredible anniversary meal. Wish we could have ordered 5 other items on the menu, there were so many great things to choose. Such a beautiful restaurant and the staff was the best we have had in a long time. Our waiter at times was hosting, serving us and even making drinks at one point, all without missing a beat. We left just blown away by the service, ambiance, and definitely the food.

    About half of the oysters had no brine like they were shucked and rinsed. Only table in a Friday night, sad…. Beautiful restaurant and excellent staff.
