   Wonderful place for a celebration dinner. Beautiful dining room, superb food and staff. We enjoyed the salmon, halibut, pork chop, lamb chops and oysters. Desserts were amazing. Highly recommend.

   Great food and attentive server. Great wine choices, particularly the estate list. Unfortunately, as others noted in their reviews, the older building's acoustics do not do well with loud diners who pay no attention to others who do not want to hear their blatant self- involved stories. I felt as if I were sitting in a bar at times.

   Very nice celebratory birthday dinner with friends. My wife and I split the house salad with strawberries and a very nice vinegarette dressing. Wonderful! For the entrees, I think our friends did better than my wife and me. The wife got the halibut and loved it and the husband the pork porterhouse cooked medium rare and he loved it as well. I also got the pork but cooked medium and it was too dry and therefore only ok. I wished I had said "cooked as the chef recommends. My wife got the scallops, which I believe were in a chimichurri sauce. The scallops were beautifully cooked and delicious but the sauce was a bit too "salty" for my wife's tastes. We ordered glasses of wine from the Reserve List and they were only okay. The 12-year-old Right Bank Bordeaux that we had with the pork, billed as still retaining strong fruit, didn't have the fruit come through as strongly as I would have liked to fully complement the pork. The Chardonnay we ordered to pair with the seafood dishes was good but again not great as would hope for the Reserve List. Dessert was outstanding!! Cherry chocolate bomb cake -- amazing! And a lemon cheesecake that was also a total treat! My wife's birthday was very nicely recognized and the service was good but not at the highest level I've experienced elsewhere. All in all, though, we had a great experience!

   Lemaire is such a delightful restaurant. It is perfect for a romantic evening or a business dinner. The service is impeccable. The star of Lemaire is, as it should be, the food. My husband had the steak and I had the halibut. Both dishes were superb. I can say my halibut was simply outstanding. We will be back.

   Our server was extremely accommodating and patient and his suggestion of the Black Forest Cake was perfect.

   Never been to this property before. Ordered crab cakes entree (split as an app with the wife). They were exceptional. We particularly liked the grits preparation that accompanied them. The presentation didn’t hurt either! The Reserve chardonnay by the glass, I ordered was so good we bought a bottle. Not the best way to economize! I ordered the pork porterhouse. Very tasty. Properly cooked and served medium. My wife ordered the halibut entree. Her plate was clean. I rarely see that. I ordered the bacon collards. It is a side (for the table). I could not finish it. A bit salty for my taste; but I am on a salt restricted diet. The service was by Jacob. Very accommodating and prompt. No problems, here. We’ll return.

   We were seated at a table directly next to an AC vent. The waiter put a tablecloth over it, as I was cold. Marcona Almond soup was ok; a little salty, and not something I would recommend. The crab cake was soggy. I don't want a dried out crab cake, but this was mushy. I only ate a few bites. Oysters were good. The tenderloin was ok, not tender enough. Service was s-l-o-w. I understand that they are not trying to rush us, but we sat for 20 minutes waiting to pay the bill. The hotel is fabulous, but we won't eat dinner here again.

    The cheesecake was great. However it didn't start that way. The fried oysters were terrible and possibly spoiled. I even had to remove one from my mouth for fear of it having gone bad. Then the halibut was nothing more than served in what was no more than a bowl of water. Not worthy of the Jefferson at all.
