   Such a great choice for a family birthday. The food was superior as always. We enjoyed the warm family atmosphere. We had an active toddler in our party, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating of our needs.

   Ask for the chili chicken appetizer. Same kind of finish as the cauliflower appetizer… Delicious! Considering getting two of them with some rice and calling it a meal, lol. Constantly amazed that the delicious and aromatic seasoning. If you’re wary of Indian because of the heat level, fear not! Ask for a medium or less, and you will be pleasantly surprised by something that is both flavorful, and not too hot.

   Lehja is my favorite Indian and among my favorite overall restaurants in Richmond. We started with the blue crab appetizer with pappadam. Then, we shared the Kerala curry, Saag Paneer, and 5-dhal curry with Garlic Naan. Everything was scrumptious and delicately flavored. Sunny, the amazing chef, came by to check on us and gifted us a mango ice cream cookie. Such a satisfying end to the weekend.

   Our dinner at Lehja was just delightful. Chef Sunny made some superb suggestions for a delicious meal. Of particular note were the Kala Chana Paneer Tikki- creamy paneer in the center with a lovely exterior crunch and sprinkling of pistachio and pomegranate seeds on top, and the Seafood Kerala Curry chocked full of perfectly cooked seafood in a rich, spicy sauce. Yummy! We will definitely be back.

    We love Lehja, and this visit did not disappoint. The chicken tikka masala and saag paneer were perfect, as usual. And all the appetizers were delicious.
