Legends of Notre Dame
Large party reservations gladly accepted. Parties over 15, please contact the management team.
My daughter and I were visiting campus and had lunch at Legends-the food was awesome (love the “ND” seared into the bun), service was friendly and efficient, and it had a pleasant college atmosphere! All around great experience, highly recommend!
This was our first time at Legends, and we will definitely be back! A+
The food was absolutely spot on. This was echoed by all in our party from the Short Rib Burger, to the Reuben, and the Salmon. Staff were professional and had the right amount of contact so as not to smother us, but ensured we were taken care of properly.
This dining experience is well worth the visit!
Great food and a great setting! I look forward to returning.
Great ambience, with photo history of Notre Dame athletes.
Really Good Food! Very nice ambiance
More quiet than usual due to distancing rules but food was great and staff was friendly and happy to be open!
Best beef barley soup we’ve enjoyed in years!
Wonderful selection of regional craft beers
Friendly and outgoing bartender who was also knowledgeable on the beers and area
We always have a good meal at Legends, always good service, always clean, a perfect place to dine. Plus being on Notre Dame's campus is double bonus !
The food is OK. The waitress was horrible. We sat for a long time before she came to bring menus and take drink orders--apologizing that she was busy splitting checks. We then waited a long time to get our drinks. We had allowed one hour for 2 of us to grab a quick lunch and when it looked like we were going to run late for our meeting, I gave her our credit card to run through since we may need to take the food to go. The food showed up just then...a burger and fish and chips. She never brought our pretzel appetizer out. She dropped the bill and my credit card and let me know she took the appetizer off the bill. Since we had paid as we got our food she never checked back. Both of us needed a refill on our drinks and the ketchup was out at the table. Wanted to like it so much, but not impressed.
Hit before s basketball game. Service was good and food was above average. Bat ran behind for waitress but otherwise spot on. Thanks for a good pregame meal
Always a great spot before or after ND sporting events.
Enjoyed a great meal and great service - catching up with a friend.
Our food was very good, but we were seated and then waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our drink orders. Then it was very slow to get our food-we had to rush to finish in time to get to the hockey game.
We reserved with plenty of time before a basketball game. When our waitress greeted us, I requested information about the specials. I saw on the board that there was Greek burger on special as well as Brussels sprouts as a possible appetizer. I asked was was on the Greek burger, she said she didn't know, but thinks maybe spinach and feta cheese. I asked about what was with the Brussels sprouts, she indicated Brussels sprouts, balsamic vinegar and crisp chick peas. We ordered 2 draft beers and placed our order for the Brussels sprouts and not the Greek burger because she never did find out what was on it. It took over 30 minutes to get our beers, Brussels sprouts about 45 minutes and then the food took over hour and 20 minutes!! We have to rush to eat our meal because of the game at 7pm. Instead of asking if we wanted another drink, she picked up our glasses and left the table without saying a word. We had usually go to Legends before home games, but this year has been disappointing. With Legends on the grounds of Notre Dame, you would assume that they hold themselves at a higher standard, but clearly it has been disappointing and we would rather spend our good money at a place that care about the quality.
Great stop for good food and drinks before Notre Dame basketball game, and very accommodating staff even with big crowd there when we were there.
At Legends of Notre Dame, the concierge folks are friendly; the meals are mouth-watering; the wait staff is wonderful.
Our server had a big party splitting checks and we had 20 minutes between getting there and taking our order but besides that she was friendly and helpful. Food was great.
Problems with bill delayed leaving; staff seems overstressed before sporting events.
Appetizers took forever & were cold when we got them. Server was not very pleasant. Ordered a medium rare steak but got a well done one. Did take steak off of bill & have is 2 free desserts so that was ok.
What happened to the tilapia offerings? I looked for those on the menu. Alas.
Excellent service! The food was really good and what better ambiance than being surrounded by Notre Dame memorabilia! Go Irish!
We had a decent meal at Legends, although some of the food was only average. Server was attentive, and food was served quickly.
Made a reservation 3 weeks + in advance... still had to wait for my table. Was hoping for better seating than we were given. Waitress was either over-sat or just poor at her job, service was extremely lacking and slow.
The food was okay.
Monster cookie for dessert was super burnt...If I worked at a restaurant and the kitchen gave me that for a customer at one of my tables there's no way I would have served it. Have some pride in your work and don't do that. Shame on both the kitchen and the waitress for even thinking that was exceptable. If you wouldn't eat it then nobody else wants to pay to eat it.
We have eaten here many times and always enjoyed. This trip was different. We waited 45 minutes just to get drinks! The food, when finally arrived, was great but the service was lousy.
Everything was great I felt sorry for the gal who waited on she was new and you were really busy. But she did a good job.
The atmosphere was great, as it always is, and the food was good. We made the reservation for an hour and a half before the basketball game we had tickets for and we were almost late to the game because of the slow service.
it seems your menu has less choices. disappointing.
Good variety on the menu with some healthy options and tasty. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Food was good, but not as good as in the past. They were very busy due to a basketball game ending and a hockey game starting. Service was slow during this busy time, but it seems like they should have expected it based on the event happening on campus.
Potato soup was like wall paper paste. French fries were not hot. Wrap was all lettuce.
Short Rib was good, burger was decent.
My first time there. Parking was an issue, could not get into lot. Gates were down . Food was ok, but just ok.
OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE IN EVERY WAY. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, QUIET, VERY ROOMY AND THE LOCATION WAS OUTSTANDING.
This was not our 1st time there and was disappointed with the food. 5 out of 6 of use had dishes with chicken in them and the chicken was cold. The 2 salads came out after the rest of the group had their food and the wrap sandwiches(which were both the same sandwich were not consistent). One wrap sandwich was heavy on the grill marks and the other lack in flavor and portion size comparing the 2. And the non chicken dish was a burger that lacked flavor and was dry. Glasses for water and beverages are very undesireable, cloudy and residue in and on them. The menu changed which was ok, but they need to amp up the food quality and service coming out of the kitchen. Food was slow to come out for a not really busy evening. Come on Legends! Get back in the game!
Fun atmosphere honoring Notre Dame sports, good food and very convenient for dining before or after Notre Dame hockey and basketball games.
Service has gone way down hill since I've last been there. No one seems to care. Every staff member everywhere. It's to bad for a place like legends.
Dinner before basketball game
Serving sizes are very large. I am tired of restaurants only offering 1/2 pound burgers. Wish a smaller burger was available on the menu. Ordered beer (not on draft) and no glasses were brought or offered. We had reservations and it still took 15 minutes to get seated. Restaurant was crowded prior to a basketball game and service was slow. Waitress was very pleasant and lots to read on the walls for entertainment.
