We were greeted rudely at the entrance by the woman who seemed to be in charge, who, without any other greeting, barked,
"last name?" like a sergeant putting recruits on a bus. After I gave her our last name she said, "you're early, please wait at the bar." We almost walked out but we decided to give it a chance as we've enjoyed Le Yaca in Virginia Beach. The young woman who escorted us to the bar was quite nice and friendly, as were the bartender and Max, our waiter. One choice, the veal, was a "3" at best with little flavor other than lemon but the flounder" special was a "5." So overall we'll give it a 4. We both agreed that our experiences at Le Yaca in Virginia Beach have been much better overall.
Had a great time with my lovely wife on her Birthday
This second visit was as excellent as the first! Our "go to" special occasion restaurant. The service is attentive, but not intrusive. The soups and main courses were fantastic, and the desert was a delight for the eyes as well as the taste buds.
Excellent food all prepared perfectly, temperature coming to the table was good. excellent and attentive service.
Great food and service in a lovely atmosphere. I always love the crab cakes and the onion soup is wonderful.
Excellent fixed menu for lunch....great quality and great price.
Food was mediocre at best. French onion soup was pureed and not to my liking. My salmons was bland. Others flounder was not hot, just warm.
Service by Max was excellent.
I do not believe I would return. Cynthia Zodda
This is our 3rd visit and we will continue to return. The décor and atmosphere are just one of the reasons we enjoy this place. The customer service is top notch, they make you feel right at home. The food is simply amazing. The quality and the presentation are what you are treated too and sets them apart from other eating establishments. Please take the time to visit this wonderful dining experience, you will not be disappointed.
Best waitress ever! Fabulous 3 course dinner for $37. Our favorite restaurant in Williamsburg.
Wonderful dinner experience!
Our third night of dining at Le Yaca. The Escalope de Veau mains were excellent. The desserts are to die for. Gayle, as always you are the best!
Awesome lunch at great prices with exceptional service. Highly recommend to anyone wanting quality seafood prepared to perfection!
We went to celebrate our 20 years together and it was over the top amazing!!!
The was a lovely place to eat. in every way. The menu was great and they offer full dinners including appetizer, entree and dessert for two prices. We chose the $37 ammt. and were very pleased. Everything was delish and well served.
Le Yaca is the best restaurant in Williamsburg VA. Our mains of scallops & flounder were outstanding. The wine selection is not to be missed. Our server Gayle, provided wonderful service!
One of (if not the) best restaurant in Williamsburg with excellent fixed price specials.
Another great meal at Le Yaca. The rockfish & steak with crabcake mains were wonderful. Gayle's excellent service made the evening complete.
We always love Le Yaca. It has been one of the best restaurants in the Williamsburg areas for many years. And it still seems to be a "Locals Secret!" The food is excellent, and the staff is nearly always well above expectations. We will continue to come back for all of our special occasions.
My son has always wanted to try French cuisine. LeYaca was a great first-time experience for both of us. I also had great recommendations from local friends.
they have a very generous lunch menu. The food was outstanding and our service was great
Absolutely fantastic place to eat. Everything was spot on. I tried an item that I never tried before (escargot) - they were great. My daughter got scallops (I don't like scallops); I took a small bite and they were outstanding! I would feel comfortable ordering scallops from Le Yaca as my entrée. Wait staff is phenomenal. An upscale restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg, VA. I fully recommend this place.
We always enjoy dinning here! This time we went to brunch on Sunday and it was delightful. The menu was perfect. This is a not to miss place!
it was our first time there. we really enjoyed the food, quality was good. we will be back.
Its one of our favorites in Williamsburg. A bit pricey but the ambience, service , presentation and food quality is superb!
One of our favorite places. Outstanding friendly service. Miss our favorite waiter Walter. Get well soon.
Absolutely our favorite restaurant not only in Williamsburg but throughout the US. Service, food, atmosphere, friendliness 6 stars! Thank you so much for making my birthday lunch so wonderful!
Outstanding service and food, as usual. Got exactly the table I requested. Would have been perfect except for undisciplined, noisy child and cell phone conversation.
Best restaurant in Williamsburg! Food was amazing with Real French bread and sauces. Service was excellent and the prix fixe menue was a definie bargain. Don't miss it!
This restaurant has exceeded our expectations for the last 14 years. Their sea food and lamb and beef are excellent and generously portioned. Prices are reasonable, staff is courteous, competent and helpful.
Le Yaca is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants!! You can count on great food and service!! From the time you walk in until you leave, you are treated like a queen!
We've been here many times since we're local and have have many great visits.. A great place to enjoy wine, food and relax.. Always enjoyable, and many of the servers know us and stop by with the hellos and appreciation. However, this was not our usual visit, although on time we waited almost 15 minutes for our table-and after finally being seated it was not occupied and had to be clearheaded. Sever was ok, we asked for Walter or Min - and got neither. The lady wasn't rude she just was not with us, she asked about something and had her back and was leaving turned before your answer was complete. As we said not the best night -

Four of us went to LaYaca during Restaurant Week. Normally it is one of our favorite restaurants ever. This time however our party got the three course restaurant week selections. What a mistake . The lamb selection was so tough that two of the dinners asked for different entrees. They selected one salmon entree and one steak entree. The fish was good but the steak entree was again tough and smothered in a sauce that was falling off the plate. After two failed entrees the meal was subtracted from one couples meal. We were very disappointed and will think long and hard about coming back, it was indeed a disappointing dining experience.
The restaurant is beautiful, and the fires were inviting on a very cold night. However, our table was next to 2 windows, and we were VERY cold through out our meal. Our food was also cold, which was very disappointing.
Restaurant week menu was wonderful, great service and evening.
Another wonderful lunch at LeYaca. Three of us dined there and enjoyed the fish special of the day; rockfish topped with crab meat. It was beautifully presented and delicious. Their french bread, freshly baked is always outstanding as well as either their soup or salad. This time we all passed on the desserts.
We had dinner here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Would highly recommend.
Le Yaca has always been our local favorite going back ten years or more, for quality of food and ambience.
As always, Le Yaca is a special place to eat! The servers can address questions, describe recipes, and "time" the arrival of DELICIOUS food that is a feast for the eyes and appetite. Even one man who eats prodigious amounts of food was sated...and impressed. The menu allows all to find what pleases them, and the presentation is wonderful...and, the ambience provides a treat for even the most special occasions!
