Outstanding food and service. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. We went to Sunday Brunch which gave us a taste of soup, entree, bread, dessert.
Outstanding! I took my mom to celebrate her 79th birthday and had requested a quiet table. Not only did they accommodate that request, but the food and service were absolutely incredible! We started off with their signature cocktail which was served in a large martini glass with a champagne ice ball enclosing a frozen blackberry - delish! We had their soup of the day, which was a marvelous lobster bisque, and two incredible appetizers - the scallop salad, which was nearly a meal in itself, had an amazing mushroom sauce over the large scallops; the tuna tartare, which was lovely and topped with thin slices of avocado making for a luxurious dish. For our entrees, we had the veal, which mom said was the best she'd ever had, and the duck, which was perfectly seared and topped with poached apple slices and a heavenly slice of perfectly cooked foie gras. And if you can believe it, we topped it off with the best grand marnier soufflés we've ever eaten. My only regret is that I live in Alexandria and this restaurant is in Williamsburg!! Thank you Le Yaca for a wonderful evening!!
We have been here twice while visiting our daughter at William and Mary. Each time has been an excellent experience. Food was very good and at a good price. Waitresses were well informed and made it an excellent experience. We will be back.
Le Yaca is authentic! The food was beyond spectacular, the service an ambiance is phenomenal, and the owner himself checked on our satisfaction with everything! Le Yaca is the best restaurant in the Hampton Roads area!
Food was delicious, our server was attentive . The 3-course price-fixed menu offered enough options to give us a good sampling of their food.
First time doing brunch at Le Yaca but it won’t be our last. This is probably the best kept secret in Williamsburg as we have tried a lot of them. If you live in Williamsburg or visiting don’t miss this restaurant. To sum up the best menu, service and food we have experienced.
Our first visit to celebrate my birthday. We were impressed with the elegance and attention to detail in both the food and the decor. The meal was wonderful and very reasonably priced for the Prix Fixe lunch. My husband enjoyed the petit filet while I had the crepe au crabe which had a large amount of chunky white crab meat. Delicious! We both enjoyed the Charlotte Citron for a light desert. Already planning our next visit for my husband's birthday which is in the summer so we can dine in the courtyard. Would definitely recommend.
It was fabulous as usual!
One of our favorites in this area. Took husband here on Halloween to celebrate an early birthday.
Food was fantastic and love our waitress. We’ve had her a few times and she is just fun.
Great service from our server Minh . Don’t pass on the soufflé for desert. Always a. Great meal at Le Yaca !
We were celebrating a birthday with family for lunch. The atmosphere, service, and food were enjoyed by all.
Wonderful place ! One of the best meals I ever had.
Le Yaca is my favorite restaurant in Williamsburg. It is always a winner. The entire experience is great. Whenever I make a reservation, they always sit us at our favorite spot. There's not anything on the menu that's mediocre. I especially like the rack of lamb and the Coquille St. Jacque. The scallops and shrimp are perfectly done and the sauce is amazing. They always have great selections of soup of the day and the French onion soup is always a winner. Of course the desserts are to die for! There's not one I wouldn't love to eat. Overall, a wonderful restaurant - the best in Williamsburg!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the country. The food is wonderful ambience is quiet and relaxed.
best food..go back every time we are in willamsburg
Every aspect was excellent—tasty food and congenial service. The pros fix menu is a great choice.
My husband birthday
Still the finest dining experience available in Williamsburg. Always superb.
Delightful French restaurant. Lovely staff, delicious food and an enjoyable evening overall. Highly recommended
Impeccable service & most delicious food
We will be coming back.
Food and service was great as always
Delightful evening entertaining out-of-town guest. Food was superb service was exceptional and desserts Out of this world
We had not been in 35 years, and could not have been more pleased or impressed. Their current location is convenient and beautiful. The service was great The food was wonderful
Service was much slower than normal, food was cold when served. Overall quality of food left much to be desired compared to previous meals we’ve had in the restaurant.
A rare visit where the service was not up to par. We've had this waiter many, many times and normally he is excellent. This time he was slow and not very attentive (though he was very polite as always). It took awhile for him to clear our plates from the table, but when he did he took two, left the other two there and did not return to take them. Another person had to come over and remove them. The check also took awhile to arrive. If this was my first experience at Le Yaca I would think twice, but we have been there countless times and this experience is not typical. Maybe he had something going on in his life that distracted him, as we all have. Still highly recommended.
Best restaurant in Williamsburg! I am never disappointed❤️
Delicious food and excellent service in an elegant atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Our dinner at La Yaca was wonderful. The ambiance is inviting and the service and food were excellent. The owner stopped by our table to make sure all was well.
The menu was quite diverse, with options of a à la carte, prix fixe, and the chef's tasting dinner. Our party of 4 had two of these options, and all were excellent. The owner visited most or all of the guest tables, and was not intrusive but personable and welcoming (and it helped that some of us speak some French, to break the ice). Based on a friend's recommendation, we were primed to order the soupe du jour), an excellent, seasonal creamy chestnut and mushroom. For a main course I had the Dover sole, which is a difficult dish to prepare and present, and it was excellent on both counts. Our server, Gail (Gayle?) was friendly, humorous, and well informed about the menu and the wines. The others in our group had classic desserts (perfectly cooked and glazed crème brulée, for example), and I opted for a dessert wine (a favorite, Beaumes de Venise). Learning that I like such things, she also brought me a taste of a fortified wine (brandy and cabernet sauvignon, I recall) go enjoy.
All in all it was an excellent dining experience, and a great evening for us and two old friends to get reacquainted. We talked a lot and there was no pressure on us to finish quickly.
Excellent as always. Never left me down. Had a small snafu and the manager immediately came by to apologize and explain—and , as he said, bribe us with lemon sorbet.
Anniversary - it was awesome
We visited Le Yaca after a two year hiatus and found it to be as good as we remembered it to be. The food and service are truly exceptional. Our waitress was the same one we had the last time we were there. It's hard finding a restaurant which is quiet enough for conversation, and the ambiance of Le Yaca is calm and fairly quiet, but not at all stuffy. The next time we are in Williamsburg we will certainly dine there again.
love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Service and food were average at best. Lamb was smothered in sauce and not top quality meat. More than once we waited for our server longer than appropriate. Wines were very good and well priced.
Ming our waiter was very very good!
The one restaurant we ate in while in Williamsburg, VA It was a great choice. Loved the food and the owner/proprietor was vey cordial and helpful.
The food was very good classic french. The service was a little weak on this trip. But I
will return as I do often.
Excellent environment and service.
Have been there several times and would highly recommend to anyone looking for sophisticated eating!
