Our first visit to this local gem. We have been waiting to see improvements as reported by Trip Advisor and local friends. It is now really a wonderful eatery with quality French Food and style. We celebrated a birthday and were very pleased with the food, service and the charming French Country Decor. Our escargot and oysters were outstanding. We had two fish dishes which were also really well prepared and delicious. Dessert was also included in the early bird menu and were also very well prepared. Drinks and wine well prepared and served. Service was attentive and we did not feel rushed during our meal. Well done to the chef and support staff. We will be back.......

Sans Souci is like a beautiful piece of jewelry that has gotten a bit tarnished. The new owner has some work to do to dress the place up, inside and out, but the food is terrific, the menu is interesting, the chef is skilled and friendly, and the wait staff (almost all the charming children of the chef/proprietor) couldn't be better. Jose, the owner, will make the decorative improvements as his cash flow permits, I'm sure, but in the mean time this is really a hidden gem in Cave Creek. Worth trying!
20 year anniversary, love this place. Had many occasions here it is always good. A variety of flavors.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Charming atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal and would recommend this restaurant. The dress is casual. It made for a relaxing evening of fine dining.
Server was unable to answer questions about wine and food. She was not attentive, not even sure she was a regular server. Did not offer to find out answers to the questions she could not answer. Soup was good, salad was lettuce with a hard tomato wedge dripping in dressing. Not edible. Scallops and lobster were good, but the sides again were almost inedible, cabbage side was not complementary to the food. Dessert you would expect to be good in a French restaurant, but again they were dry, cakey and inedible. I had heard good things about this place, but we were disappointed! Also, the servers use rolling cart to bring out desserts and some other dishes. The carts were too big to maneuver between tables and chairs without disrupting other guests. Very poor planning. Overall a fair to poor experience and we will not return.

A very underwhelming dinner and am entirely confused by any above average reviews. The faux accent from our server was amusing but unfortunately there wasn't much else to smile about. Easily the worst restaurant during our visit to the north Scottsdale area and won't be back. One star may be generous given what we received for the cost. The only way I can make sense of this is that the overwhelming positive reviews are organized and paid for by the restaurant owners.
Everything here is made fresh. The presentation is wonderful. The lunch special can't be beat.
All desserts are made in house. A truly delicious and very affordable meal. We will definitely be back.

Three weeks ago friends invited us to join them for dinner.
Since them we have gone back each week as the menu and food are wonderful.

The only authentic French restaurant left in the Valley. For over forty years, Louis' place has had the goods. The food, service and ambiance will take you back to a forgotten time in dining. The menu selections will have you in awe. When was the last time that you saw Cherries Jubilee or Bananas Foster for dessert in lieu of Tiramasu that is on every freaking menu in Phoenix/Scottsdale? No, there is no pork belly, shisito peppers, or whatever the latest trendy food item is here. Just fine French cuisine done in the time tested manner rarely seen in today's fast food world. Get on out there!
11 of us girls had a fabulous lunch recently. The food was superb, the menu diverse and the service excelled.
A drop back to the 1960's. Caesar Salsd, Steak Dianne, and other dishes prepared table side. Where do you find sweet breads anymore, or petite frogs legs?
Most of the reviews that I had read about this restaurant were quite good, so that's what I was expecting, but I was very disappointed. I was fine with the understated decor, as some of the finest French restaurants that I've been to have had minimal decor with spectacular food, but the meal was just plain unimpressive. I ordered from the fixed price part of the menu, which included soup, salad, entree and dessert. All were pretty flavorless and presentation was poor. I rarely salt my food, but was forced to do so. The meals are served on dinnerware that you would find in a cafeteria with no esthetic appeal whatsoever. On the upside...our server was darling and very attentive. Our entire experience was simply......OK, but not great.
We have been to this restaurant several times as it is our "special occasion" spot. It is a 45 minute drive, but always well worth it.
A wonderful restaurant for authentic Freench cuisine. It made me miss France. They still make some of the food (steak diane,ceaser salad,cherries jubilee) table side. The waiter was very animated and helpful with the food choices. The escargot was amazing, french onion soup was as simple and perfect as a cafe in Paris. I had the veal Neptune which was extremely tender and it had a bernaise sauce with crab. Excellent. My wife had the chicken in champagne with truffles. Also excellent. We shared the soufflé for desert. Wow. This was definitely unexpected to have such good French food!
The food is excellent. I started with the heart of palm salad and then had the Dover sole. It was deboned at the table. Le San Souci is well know for the souffle and we both had that as our dessert. The staff, the service and entire dining experience was very nice. Enjoyable evening.

Lovely food and impeccable service. The 'early bird' specials are a real bargain - French cuisine at truly affordable prices. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Cave Creek.
We had been to Sans Souci for New Year's Eve a few years ago and were very disappointed. A friend wanted sweetbreads and we returned for that reason. What a different experience! We all enjoyed our full-course meals, had good service and will return again shortly.
A 1960s French cuisine restaurant in the middle of the cowboy town. The interiors need a big facelift. The food is decent if you want some traditional French bistro food. The service is friendly and it feels like eating at your friend's home.

Nice place with great pre-6 PM meals at good prices. Many choices! Plus, cocktails are 1/2 price at this time. Good wines!!

French restaurants are few and far between in the US these days. This place was a throwback to another era. The menu was straight out of a old fashioned French restaurant. Onion soup. Chateaubriand. Soufflé. The quality was great and the service friendly. The wine list was reasonable.
We've intended to dine at le Sans Souci since sampling their food at taste of Cave Creek last October. They were sampling some of the best food at the event at that time. So when I made a lunch reservation this past Sunday I was expecting good food, but not necessarily a good value based on their diner menu prices. When we arrived we were blown away by their 18.95 Sunday brunch (w/o champaign +$6) which included 1) an appetizer plate including a small salad, seafood, pate, and smoked salmon, then 2) French onion soup, 3) choice of entree from list of 10-12, and 4) desert and coffee or tea. We sprang for the gran marnier soufflé given the quality of the other items. We were not disappointed and will be returning for dinner in the future. BTW one in our group noticed that they have a weeknight 3 course dinner tasting menu for 19.95? Or you could have lobster thermadore for $52. I bet it's great.
Went for the wife's birthday and was totally satisfied with the service, the food , the ambiance, etc. I only wish the one staff person that speaks French would have been on that evening so I could have practiced my French that was close to very good years ago.
As usual, great food and service. Has become our 1st choice when we want to dine finely.
We are very glad San Souci is available near our home. It is cheerful with pleasant music, a warm room and comfortable seating. And, of course, the food is delicious and beautifully served. All is conducive to a very pleasant evening, a good time spent with friends or family. It will be a wonderful resturant for our special occasions. Thank you and appreciation to the chef and staff.

This little place puts out fantastic food. I've enjoyed numerous "Early Bird" dinners and was never disappointed. I'm surprised that they are not ALWAYS packed to capacity. You will NOT be disappointed with this choice.
Celebrating the holiday with family. This place is a hidden gem! Well worth drive to experience. Loved it so much we are going back for New Years Eve. Love the rustic feel and the tableside preparation offerings.

We returned to Le Sans Souci and were not disappointed. We shared a chateaubriand carved tableside that was fabulous. It was a 22 oz filet cooked perfectly to medium rare with a crusty outside. It came with potatoes, vegetables and a broiled tomato with a mushroom cap on top. Absolutely excellent!!! There was plenty to take home to enjoy the following evening. The setting is old world country and very charming. We had a wonderful evening!
We have eaten here a number of times and have always had an excellent meal. This family-owned business provides excellent service and we always delight in our servers and the chef. The menu is quite varied and every dish is excellent - we have had many of the menu items and have never been disappointed. Table-side Caesar salads and flambéed mains and deserts. One of the very few places that serves soufflé.
