perfect spot for afternoon tea, all was great, very relaxing
Visited for an afternoon of high tea with my daughter. Beautiful hotel, great service and delicious food. Will definitely be going back one day!
We spend one afternoon with girlfriend enjoying their tea. It is a favorite event. The variety of teas is wonderful. The tea sandwiches are yummy. The scones are excellent. My favorite are the gingerbread at Christmas time! The light desserts are a perfect ending!! I enjoy listening to the harpist which lends itself to the relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. This is our third year and we plan to keep coming back!!
What a sweet little tea party! Everything was yummy. We loved it!
Took my daughter for her 21st bday and she loved it!
An absolutely perfect respite from the hustle of NOLA on NYE. We loved it!
Afternoon tea at LeSalon is always a nice experience. Harp and piano player provided nice Xmas music without disturbing our conversation. The English inspired food was as good as always as was the selection of speciality teas
First time in 15 years of Christmas tea with my daughter that we were disappointed.
For the price of this event, the last thing I want to feel is rushed by the server. As soon as we got our drinks, she brought the sandwich plate, before asking about our tea selection. We normally enjoy tea for at least 90 minutes, we were presented the bill at noon. Our reservation started at 11:30. We had to ask for more sugar and tea. I don’t feel she was attentive to our overall experience, more she was trying to hurry us along.
The Salon was not full, so there was no need to rush us out.
Also, the harp music was beautiful but should be pleasant background music. It was much too loud to try and hold a conversation.
I seriously hate to be critical because this is part of our Christmas tradition that we look forward to each year. We meet with family members and normally have an awesome time. This year, I feel like we were overcharged for the quality of service.
La Salon, Windsor Court, you can do better.
This is an annual tradition we love!
Holiday Tea was elegant, relaxing and festive.
The Holiday Tea was LOVELY!!! The ambiance of the lobby decorated for the holidays added to making the outing that much more fun.
Our server Jean was a doll! Very attentive.
Will be back!
Lovely holiday event to do with girl friends and family.
Every year, my mom, aunt, sister, and sister-in-law get together for tea before Christmas. Have been doing so for many years. Was worried about this year with everything going on but Le Salon did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time and the service was excellent:)
The Christmas tea was nice. Besides 3 choices of the first drink, nothing was Christmas themed. The sandwiches were plain, two types of scones, and chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries, and almond cake for dessert. I was expecting at least gingerbread cookies or peppermint candy cane crushed on the tired old chocolate covered strawberries. No creativity. The service was 5 star phenomenal. It just couldn't make up for an uneventful and boring menu. I would price this as $30 per person not $70.
As always, the service was excellent and the Christmas atmosphere is always special.
We go every year! Delightful and delicious. Would highly recommend making this a Holiday tradition.
Tea at the Windsor Court is fabulous! Always perfect - the Holiday Tea is the best!
Perfect Christmas time tea!
It was delightful high tea.
The only problem was the fruit flies or gnats that flying around our table. It was quite annoying. However the waitress was accommodating and moved us to a better location.
Wasn’t up to the normal standard. Food wasn’t fresh. Fruit flies everywhere. It was probably because of all the fresh flowers but it definitely was a disappointment. I expected more for the amount of money and the normal experience just wasn’t there!
The decor: bland tan and puke green furniture - tired...a la 1970's. It wasn't festive and cheerful.
Food: for almost $50 per person, there should have been more food on offer, and in larger portions.
Service: our teapots were kept on a separate table (out of our reach), and so we were at the mercy of the server to top up our tea. Our teabags were never removed from our teapot, and so the tea continued to steep, resulting in a very strong, and bitter, second cup. After retrieving our teapots, to place them ON our table, and after removing the teabags, the remaining pot of tea was too strong. To be fair, we were offered additional water, but at that point we were over the whole experience.
We were looking forward to a fancy tea service, but were disappointed all around.
Wouldn't go back, and wouldn't recommend. Not worth the cost.
I celebrated my birthday on March 14th at Le Salon at the WindsorCourt & the experience was everything! The setting, the harpists, the service, the TEA! I love & I will be returning soon!
Went here for my girlfriends birthday and she had an excellent time. They even presented her with a birthday themed dessert plate!
We had a great time! Our waitress was excellent. Very attentive but not intrusive. Everything was excellent. We loved our experience!
I introduced my friends to the experience of having tea. The tea was delightful and well done.
Having been to teas in London, this was an exceptional tea here in New Orleans, where I am a resident. The atmosphere, offerings, china, selection of teas, and all else were faultless. I was also happy that the gratuity and taxes were added to the price, so it was just a seamless, wonderful time. I will be bringing friends when they visit from out of town, as it was truly the kind of experience they would love.
Overall the Windsor Court Hotel is beautiful and the service was great so both of these factors helped a lot, but the tea service itself is not good. Pros were that it includes a cocktail which is a nice touch, the tables are beautifully set, the Devonshire clotted cream and curds are really very nice and authentic. The cons are that it is not a traditional tea service as promised and the food overall not being good. The cocktail was a neon green color and tasted very synthetic and strange. The scones have an odd texture and walnuts in them and are not good. The jams and creams sit out on the table since before guests arrive which is a little concerning. The sandwiches are fine but obviously all made and plated before hand which gives me the same icky feeling as the jams being in open containers out on the table all morning. All of the sweets were stale and they gave us one white chocolate and one dark chocolate version of everything which is odd to not have identical desserts for all guests and since we don’t like white chocolate one of us had to have some even worse desserts. Overall I would not recommend this to a friend. I have done many afternoon teas in many cities and sadly this one had the worst food. A beautiful setting if you don’t mind eating again afterwards. It’s also very expensive for how little food and the poor quality.
What a lovely experience. Amazing food, wonderful service and a lovely atmosphere.
Elegant setting for high tea! Service was fast and attentive. Expensive for tea, scones and cucumber sandwiches, but ultimately a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Having spent years of searching out high tea in every city we visit, my BFF and I were looking for an extraordinary experience to celebrate our 40 years of friendship. Windsor Court more than exceeded our expectations. The piano music was as lovely as every bite. Thank you!
Been coming to tea for at least 20 years at LeSalon. This year was very disappointing. The scones were much smaller than past years and the sweets were mediocre. Above all, the service was poor. After 20 + years, I’m going to consider another tea service.
It was a perfect treat for my sisters birthday!
What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is lovely, and the servers were very attentive. We enjoyed our cocktails, tea and food! The scones were fantastic!
Great Christmas gift!
Very relaxing atmosphere with harp player as an added touch during the high tea we attended. The food and brverage was presented beautifully. A first for us was the offering of a pre-tea beverage. I had a sangria and my husband had a fruity champagne drink. Our waitress was amazing; very pleasant, attentive and helpful in explaining the tea choices. Highly recommend this event.
My friend and I a lovely tea experience at Le Salon. The service was wonderful. The staff attended to our needs. Le Salon has a wonderful selection of tea choices. I happen to follow a keto program and they accommodated me with berries instead of scones and the tea sandwich fillings minus the bread. They noted my profile for future visits. This is the way it should be done. The Windsor Court is a lovely retreat in the New Orleans which only added to the ambiance. I will be returning.
My group went for a holiday tea with our daughters and friends. It was a fun outing for a special occasion. A few tips: I’d request a table. We sat on loveseats and armchairs, which made it difficult to eat. We were also seated near the harpist. While beautiful, I would have preferred to be away from the music so we could catch up. They also have the option for a child’s tea which includes more kid – friendly sandwiches. Without a doubt the Windsor is a class act, and the service is impeccable. If you can get a reservation, I highly recommend it.
