Le Garrick, located in London's theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant. There is a homely restaurant at ground level, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks and booths for romantic moments. Expect classics and favourites of French bistro cooking; Faux filet Rib Eye or Onglet with sauce poivre or Béarnaise & French fries. For pudding choose from Crème brulée or Lemon tart among the classic desserts. The 2/C prix fixe menu is a lifesaver pre-theatre. In an area that's full of chains, Le Garrick is a one-off. Food was excellent with reasonably sized portions. Steak cooked perfectly as requested. Only downside, the waiter didn't understand the order for a Grand Marnier despite it being one of their standard digestifs. Some other drink was brought but at least we weren't charged for it.

I had dinner here with my French partner on a quiet Monday evening. The restaurant is small and cosy without being cramped. The waitress (Laura) was very pleasant and attentive throughout the whole meal. I had booked but there were several people who walked in without a booking and were seated quickly. My partner had the escargot to start and mussels for his main, whilst I had the charcuterie and bourginon. All were delicious and with an excellent selection of wines. An excellent evening with good food. Highly recommended.

A piece of France in Convent Station. Our waiter was the real deal from Provence and the food was just like I have had in Paris

Lovely location, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The evening started well with lovely Cocktails , starter of Scallops was OK but 2 main dishes werent great - Mussels chewy, and non inspiring sauce and Duck ok but again sauce bland

A beautiful restaurant with beautiful food and staff. We were welcomed by the owner, Dominique, who was lovely and offered advice and great service throughout. We weren't rushed at any point and nothing was too much trouble. A great find and we will be back

If you come here it’s downstairs you must go to the room as you go on off the street is just a room downstairs it’s another world with lots of character service friendly it’s not a posh place as we normally go to but that was fine , French food served really well and tasty . Very enjoyable .
