Food was good. Service was not. Too much attitude.
I really wanted to try the soft shell crab and I did and it was good, needed salt or some type of bite. Crab and bacon were incinerated. We had a marginal waitress. She asked if I liked the food I said no, then she asked me if I wanted to box it to go. Uhm no! The crab with egg noddles isn't that great. There is some real and some not so real crab.i woukd go back for drinks and the sandwhich. And why is it so hard to ask people if it is there first time aar the restaurant????
The spicy green beans and clay pot chicken are to die for! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta!
Good food, good service. Portions were a tad small for the price, but we’d return based on the food.
Food was great and service was ok
I'm not sure how a Vietnamese restaurant runs out of Pho or only serves Banh Mi at lunch, but such as it was at Le Fat on Mother's Day.
The food and ambiance is great. My only complaint is the portion sizes. I used to come to Le Fat regularly and I would receive enough food to have a regular serving, share some with my date, and still have enough to take home. Now, I only have enough to have one serving and one serving for my date and none to take home :( I think that if the prices are going to stay the same, then the portion sizes shouldn’t experience a huge decrease.
The service was friendly, but either apathetic or inexperienced. We had to ask for any drink refill and did not get some of the requested items. The food serving sizes were very inconsistent. The crab garlic noodle was about 1/3 the size of the clay pot with not much crab.
Le Fat is a little gem! We have eaten here many, many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu is delicious. The cocktails are great too! Parking is very convenient - there's a valet lot right next door.
Went to Le Fat for my birthday. I had made a reservation for my friends and I. We were celebrating my birthday and I made a note of that in our reservation. But never did the waitress acknowledge the special occasion even after seeing ya cheers to my birthday. She didn’t offer any birthday dessert or candle for singing. It was pretty anticlimactic. She was just overall a little aloof and uninterested in serving us. The food was absolutely delicious, but the service really brought down the celebration.
Delicious Asian cuisine. Great service
My husband and I love it here. We discovered it using our dining out pass book and have been back a total of 5 times. The chicken clay pot is amazing. The dumplings are delicious. The spring rolls are light and fresh. The drinks are...interesting. The ambiance is nice. It's dark and cozy. I cannot wait to come back!
As always this place doesn’t disappoint!
Food was not as good as previous visits. There was too much vinegar in the mango salad and the shaking beef was over cooked. On the other hand, My wife’s noodles were as excellent as before and the bartender still mixes wonderful cocktails. Hopefully this is a one time problem and not a sign of declining quality.
Food was good and had gluten free options. Service was ehh, music was too loud for a convo without yelling over others.
Terrific food and drinks. Great atmosphere.
Our waiter was amazing! The food and drinks were great!
The food was great, as usual...especially the wonton dumplings!
Wanted to try something new. I love Miso Izakaya so I wanted to check out this spot and it did not disappoint
Food was extremely salty. To a point it was repulsive. This was across all dishes and we ordered 7 dishes. We gave the kitchen feedback after the apps to go easy on sale after the appetizers but made no difference. Entrees were same - too salty.
I like their location and atmosphere. But I am not sure about their food.
I had such an amazing time. The whole staff took time to talk to me and give me their recommendations. Absolutely love it
Nothing here was outstanding - all tasted generic and standard and came nowhere close to expectations based on the restaurant theme. Service was uninspiring.
Great food and a fun place. I wish the server had been assigned fewer tables so I could have ordered another glass of wine before I had to leave, but she was very nice and as attentive as she could be under the circumstances. Will definitely return!
The restaurant has nice a nice view of Marietta Street and nice seating at the bar. The service was excellent and our waitress checked on our needs and our satisfaction, several times during our meal. Our meals were delicious and attractively served. We enjoyed several appetizers also. The music in the background was soft enough to allow quiet conversation. An excellent restaurant for dinner.
Overall experience was very good. Valet parking was confusing and needs to be reworked.
Service was lackluster. The dining bench was dirty. I didn’t realize sauce remained on the portion of bench perpendicular from the floor until I got up with stains all over the back of my jeans.
I informed the manager, who was very apologetic and offered to pay for dry cleaning. But, the cleanliness issue along with the mediocre service left much to be desired.
I was super-excited about eating here because I now live and work in the neighborhood and love Vietnamese food. Its a weekly ritual for my Vietnamese girlfriend and I to go out for Pho and other Viet food on Sundays to recover from our Saturday nights out.
The restaurant looks fantastic! It has a superb location, beautiful bar, great service, and wonderful ambiance. However...
First big fail for me - No Pho on Sundays... Why??!! That's the best day to eat Pho. No soup or brothy meal of any kind served that day.
Apparently, the head chef doesn't work Sundays and whoever else is working the kitchen really doesn't know how to make Viet food properly. We ordered some poorly made crispy egg-rolls, a super-greasy drunken noodle dish that you would have had to been very drunk to enjoy, and some other traditional Vietnamese dish that also wasn't prepared properly. I had a really bad stomach ache later that night after eating most of the drunken noodle dish so the meal isn't wasted.
My girlfriend is over it, but I'm hesitantly optimistic. I'm going to give the place another shot on a weekday to see if the food quality is better when the head chef is in. If so, I'll be updating this review.
We really loved the menu items and decor at Le Fat, but the banquette seating really needs to be re-evaluated. Tables are crammed extremely close together and you can easily hear three surrounding conversations going on at once. I would not recommend this restaurant for a date - I had trouble hearing my boyfriend talking to me across the small 2 person table.
From the incredible food and drinks to the brilliant customer service - this was a nice birthday celebration venue - the food is authentic and fantastic!
Meh. We didn’t love it. Everything was just okay. We ordered the escargot, crab noodles and clay pot chicken. It took a long time for everything to arrive. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. Then there was our server who was flippant and barely engaged. It took him forever to initially greet us. When he finally did, we placed our full order and then barely saw him again until he delivered the check (and never heard the dessert options until he finally came to pick up the check and we asked). We wouldn’t return or recommend.
As always a great dinner. Food was spot on and service was friendly without being overbearing.
I had been to Leave Fat before and truly enjoyed it. Something was missing this time. The food was okay. The service was not the best. The restrooms had run out of toilet paper and soap, plus were not super clean. I told the host that there was no toilet paper and his response was, "the restaurant is all out.".
This was my second time dining at Le Fat and both times they were out of a lot of dishes especially considering that the menu isn't large. On my last visit they were out of four things I tried to order. It was incredibly annoying.
Took a very long time to get seated. Table sat empty for 20 minutes before it was bused for us to sit down. Reservation was at 8:30...not seated until 9:00. Food was great though as usual.
Showed up at 840p for an 845p reservation. Was ushered to the bar where we sat for more than an hour. Occasional check ins provided no updates. I get that it was busy, maybe tables were dawdling, etc. But it wasn’t a walk-in, we had a reservation. Not a “sorry we’re swamped,” nothing, zero acknowledgement. Table had food on it from the previous diners, server disappeared once she saw we already had drinks. All around disappointing experience.
Interesting combination of flavors! Good amount of food on the plate with a good price.
It ‘twas grrrrrrreat
