Very nice bartender who made experience good! Food just simply okay nothing to return for. Chicken and veggie rolls arrived from kitchen dripping in oil. Crab roll on steam bun just okay. Pho was okay not great.
Food was great, however they seemed to lack staff. Our server did her best she was excellent, but spread thin. A few of our entrees came out really late, like half of us were almost done our meal when the other entrees came out. That's not good. Need to staff up on a busy Friday night!!
Fabulous! Best waitress, best drinks and best food!
Wow!! Food was incredible and the vibe was amazing for our large party. Run don’t walk to Le Fat!
The food wasn’t as good as it used to be pre-pandemic. We had the green beans, papaya salad, spring rolls and clay pot ribeye. The dressings and sauces were served in disposable plastic containers…not classy at all and also wasteful. Service was great. But, won’t be back. It was very expensive. Gods was bland and way too much grease.
Party of 5 adults... started with some summer rolls (good), egg rolls (ok, they use ground chicken and not pork), and wonton dumplings (pass, unsavory and not worth the money).
Dinner... chicken clay pot meals (very good, best food at table) and some shaking beef (ok, not really shaken... SEARED the way it supposed to be) but quality of beef and temperature cooked was good.
If you're a large group servers do tend to switch service at your table, your requests might get lost in translation between them. Only ONE cook so servers bring out food as the chef has it ready to deliver from the kitchen. Do not expect to receive all your food together whether appetizer or entrée.
Bar not busy, but our drinks took 10-15 minutes on average from time of order to delivery at table... a couple cans of beer or couple basic cocktails and glass of wine (not complex or large order). Cocktails, bar tap for coke not good and very flat (awful), order CAN coke to mix. Note, our receipt showed something different than what was ordered for beer and cocktails. Server told us they had no key to order actual item and assured us not to worry, all same price (that's a little frustrating, rather see what I actually ordered and the charge).
Bar options for beer is three choices, not sure why MGMT (owner) doesn't have time to input correct selections or ensure servers are trained to find bar items in their order system. We ordered Heineken and our receipt showed Sapporo, we order Jack & Coke and our receipt showed Elijah Craig. No drinks matched what we ordered.
For authentic Asian... it's slightly above "average" PHO type restaurants and worth a try for the food, just be understanding with the time to receive food and drinks.
Great service from louise, good food
Awesome service, great Vietnamese selection. Everyone in my group agreed that it was quite authentic!
Maitre d’ was shockingly rude at the beginning, server came to the table too many times (at the wrong times). Food was way too salty. The kind Asian gentleman saved the day and improved our dining experience by quickly fixing the dish and adding the hospitality that the aforementioned servers did not provide.
If you are not from the area, know that parking is not that easy. The food was just okay. The drunken noodles are more like Ho Fun. The calamari was too salty and there was more garnish than calamari. The service was outstanding. There were fruit flies constantly on our plates and around our table. For the hassle and the value I would not return and would not recommend to friends.
Looking for tasty yummy delicious food? Look no further. I will go to Le Fat again anytime. The clay pots are amazing! So are the soft shell crabs on a bun. Just order many things and share, that is what we did. Had a great time!
Great place for the younger crowd. Food was OK. Green beans were was too salty. Chicken curry carrots and potatoes were undercooked and hard as rocks. So the kitchen is not doing its job. Staff is an outstanding bunch of lovely girls. Good job girls.
Nysha and Elise are phenomenal! Not only is the staff extremely attractive, but they are attentive and friendly as well. Also the clay pot rice dish is life changing.
Service was a little slow, drinks came out separately as opposed to together, same with food. Server was quirky but friendly. Food was amazing. Not all staff were wearing masks which is a little concerning.
We waited for our food for an hour only to be told that it was given to another customer and we’d have to wait more. We left.
Brilliant food, ambiance and service. 5 star !
miserable experience. food (what little we actually received) was ok, but lukewarm. service was horrible. after being seated for 90 minutes, with random items brought out from time to time and the bulk of our dinner nowhere in sight, we gave up and left. i can’t imagine that this place will last much longer.
Terrible service, got forgotten, food delivered to the wrong tables…twice.
The mussels in the lemongrass broth were outstanding.
Food was tasty, but one of our group (of 6) had to wait for their food for a good 15 minutes after everyone else was served. Also, they never brought our appetizers. The waitress was inattentive and while I'm mindful that they were probably a bit understaffed, it was not a great experience.
Service was slow and inattentive
Our experience at Le Fat was not a great first impression to a restaurant we have been looking forward to. We understand that trying to find employees at this time has been one of the biggest challenges and there were many mistakes made that we can forgive. The server we had was trying his best, however there many instances where simple tasks were being overlooked. As we finished our meal, we sat with empty plates in front of us for as least 10-15 minutes until another server cleared our table. We sat for almost 30 minutes patiently waiting for the check while he cleaned tables next to us, not once making eye contact or asking us if we needed anything. When we did get the check, I paid with a $100 bill for a $48 tab and had to wait another 15 minutes only to stop him and ask for change to which he replied, "oh, did you want change?". As for the food, the visual appeal was there, but the flavors were extremely muted. The wontons were plump, but lacked any chili heat or freshness of cilantro. The calamari did have salt and pepper, but that was about it. The pork belly bowl was slightly dry and lacked any ginger, lemongrass, galangal, or fresh flavors. Either the kitchen ran out of or did not have any pickled mustard greens, but instead gave us lettuce. Also the egg was hardboiled and dry. Overall, we were not impressed with the meal itself. Service issues can be somewhat forgiven because of the times, but when the food is lacking any type of flavor profile, it is difficult to recommend much less return.
Food was great but waited probably 30 min before getting first drink- ended up just canceling it and ordering wine…that took probably 15 min. Generally, service was very slow
We dined late in the evening and had the place mostly to ourselves. Our server was charming and attentive with great recommendations. I loved the vibe of this restaurant - great music, beautiful decor and comfortable. The food was delicious, hot and flavorful. Loved the dumplings.❤️
Service was fair, but far from perfect. They seemed short staffed. Luckily the food was life changing good so that redeemed it for me. I highly recommend it!
Always a favorite. Every time I eat here it’s just as good as the last. The chicken clay pot is a personal favorite.
We loved eating there. Unfortunately during our last visit the restaurant looked dirty. We informed the staff about it. Hopefully they’ll do a better job with cleaning the place.
Used to be one of our favorites but has really gone downhill. They are really skimpy on meat in the dishes. For example the salt and pepper calamari is now a giant pile of onions with about 6 actual pieces of calamari mixed in. The clay pot chicken is all rice. The drunken noodles has only 4 small slices of beef and is all noodles. Service is nonexistent. Used to be a gem. Not worth the trip anymore.
Worst service I've experienced in years.
Definitely try the green beans and the clay pot chicken!
Not the same place it used to be.
We made a reservation on Open Table. When we got there it was an obviously busy night. The staff seemed scrambled and chaotic. We waited at the front lobby for almost half an hour, no one ever spoke to us or acknowledged us so we finally left and went somewhere else. Really sad we didn’t get to try anything. We would have stayed if someone had said “I’ll be right with you” or even made eye contact but all of the restaurant staff acted like we weren’t there :-(
Horrible service, waited over an hour to place order for entrees and that was after waiting 45 minutes for appetizers. Server seemed like she had no interest in her job
As any other restaurant and hotel Le Fat is understaffed but the team there is doing its best to serve everybody. I would suggest that when they are understaffed they focus on the guests in house instead of delivery. There were a lot of people coming in to take to go and I think that was slowing them down. People were frustrated and leaving the restaurant
The food wasn't good enough to overcome the putrid service.
Not what we expected. None of the dishes had much flavor. We had the salt and pepper calamari, drunken noodles and the chicken clay pot. We were told they are transitioning and it was clear that they were.
We were very disappointed in all aspects of our meal. I expect they were just having a bad night but nothing seemed to go right. Maybe understaffed?
The food was delicious the drinks were not tasty the service was HORRIBLE. Waitress said they were short staffed she was the only person running like 20 tables outside and inside so felt bad for her but service was extremely slow. Waited 30 minutes to order and 45 for food.
Guess the servers arrived late for our 6:30pm reservations because the bar tender came to assist then as things got busy, we were lost in the shuffle for about 20mins. I had to request our bill. Overall, the food was great and cool spot too. Owner was very connected with all clients which is usually why i visit Asian food spots. Quality and detailed to each guest
