Open for over three decades, Le Cafe du Marche remains a family run, independent French restaurant. Tucked down a cobbled mews on the corner of historic Charterhouse Square and a stones throw from the Elizabeth Line & Farringdon Stations, we offer honest French food in a convivial and characterful setting. Crossing the threshold, guests feel they escape the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile and instead are transported to the south of France. We have live jazz in the evenings

I frequent this restaurant at lunchtimes regularly as it is the perfect environment for a quiet business lunch, even when the restaurant is full. The food and service has no equal in the City area and I happen to love their wine list too. Our latest visit was for an evening meal with some Australian business associates. The ambiance was totally different to lunchtime but absolutely perfect. The lilting piano music accompanied by a double bass enhanced the whole candlelit experience - quite magical! The food, wine and service were top draw one again.

We visit the restaurant every now and then. It never disappoints. The food is excellent supported by helpful and polite staff. They always accommodate allergies and dietary requirements. They offer a varied wine list.

Birthday party dinner for a group of 4. Lovely ambience with tasteful live music and wonderful service. We all had different dishes from fish to lamb to duck to etc, everything looked superb and good value for £55 for 3 courses. Lovely setting and easy walk from Farringdon or Barbican
