   It was way too bright. Did not create a very intimate atmosphere.

   A family event that should have been lovely and festive ruined by the hostess sitting us at the door (cold & loud) at a table set for two (we were 3) in a huge restaurant was not st 50% capacity the two hours that we were there. I asked for better seating immediately and was refused. I’ll never go back. Blatant racism in 2023. Disgusting.

   This was our second year attending the tea. Last year was wonderful but this year was lacking. Our server was not attentive and neglectful. For the price point, the service was very disappointing.

   Our service was beyond amazing. We were extremely fortunate to have Nasim as our server again this year!! He went above and beyond to make our experience memorable!

   The Fairmont is a San Francisco icon. We loved entering back in time to our beloved hotel atop Nob Hill. The festive decor was breath-taking and inviting. Love the walk-thru gingerbread house!! However, the holiday tea @ $220 per person is quite steep. The food was delicious, truly better than most tea service I have had, but let's remember it is tea sandwiches, and mini desserts, Moet champagne and tea that was double, if not triple the price of other tea service at brand name hotels in the city, or London for that matter. The service seemed rushed even though the room was less than half-full, and the server wore a mask (no problem with that) and had a very heavy accent and therefore difficult to understand. The piano was lovely but too loud for a tea setting. Our table seemed too big for two people and we struggled to hear each other. My recommendation would be to soften the piano, slow down the staff and reduce the price to under $200.

   The setting in the Laurel Court and especially in the Fairmont overall was beautiful and festive. I did not think the food or service justified the price nor did my guest, but it still was really lovely anyway. The presentation and content and quantity of food was not excellent IMO and I am a light eater.

    Decided to have their famous burger/steak w/fries. Fries should have been homemade not shoestring from a frozen bag which one could find at McDonald's. Salad did not have a minimum dressing. Starters were good. No cocktail napkin; should have been offered with cocktail and monogramed with F or Fairmont. Staff was not attentive and should be retrained. Husband's glass slipped though his hands and staff only offered napkin to help with liquid when asked....should have seen what happened and been more forthcoming with help. Two large round tables around our table were not set, but had table cloths placed on them without care. Open Table did not have our reservation transferred to the Laurel Court. There is a crack in the dome of the at the bottom of the curve/top of the vertical support. Mildew or spiders at the top of the dome. Am surprised that the management did not see this before the APEC meeting. Obviously this needs attention. The Gingerbread House was not gingerbread.....maybe inside.......I live on Nob Hill and will not go back unless a guest would like to do so. Very disappointing.
