Serving new American cuisine, using the highest quality ingredients; we practice a no boundaries approach to flavors and techniques. We support our local farmers and pride ourselves with a philosophy based on consistency, creativity, innovation and inspiration. Latitude 41 is truly a destination dining experience.
We always enjoy dining at Latitude 43 whether for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious and service is attentive and courteous. We also love the ambiance of the traditional, colonial dining room and tavern. Wish they would keep the beautiful original building and not tear it down to replace it with a boutique hotel and a new restaurant building.
Music was a bit loud during the meal but great after that.
Food was great expect for the cauliflower app. Very reasonable prices.
Outstanding. My boyfriend and I got away for the weekend and couldn’t of been any happier with our choice for a dinner venue. The food was outstanding from salad to dessert. The workers were great from our hostess seating us to our waiter. He was great. Will be back for sure.
Fish tacos and fried fish for the fish and chips were properly cooked. The fish was fresh. The french fries could have been cooked a little longer to ensure a soft interior and a "crunchy" exterior. The service was top notch.
Overall, I was let down.
Right off the bat, the online menu did not reflect that the condensed winter menu that was available.
Quit with the upcharge notice, it cheapens your food. We all realize sweet potatoes cost more than regular potatoes.
The Steak was drenched in brown gravy. Lobster roll had consistency of tunafish. Oyters Rockfeller & Shrimp Cocktail were great. My wife loved her manhattan. Kids Chicken tenders were way overdone.
I expected more from the reviews but felt the resturant fell sort. The food wasn't bad... it was adequate but that's not really a compliment.
Food was excellent, constant rock and roll service was quick but disinterested. Wine list was weak
This is the best restaurant I've eaten in for quite a while. It doesn't have 'fancy' food (no looking up many of the exotic ingredients) but just plain good food of good quality and well prepared. Also very lovely presentation and comfortable ambiance.
It's kind of the place you could eat numerous times - a family place and great for all ages.
My only regret is that it's 2 hours away from us, but the next time I'm in Mystic I'll be sure to return to eat out on the lovely patio overlooking the Mystic river.
Oh, another regret - apparently it's going to disappear at the end of the year to make space for a hotel, etc. Phooey!
Very busy time We waited quite a while to be seated a few customers left while we were waiting in line. Thought we should have had a little bread while we waited for our meal.
My reservation was accepted because there were empty tables for the Valentines dinner... The waiter was great as were the drinks and food.. There was a 3 piece band in the back area however the waitstaff was loud while they were performing... nice place however great meal
Valentines dinner. Food was excellent, but cocktails routine. We will definitely go back.
Valentines dinner. We hss as d the pleasure of being the only guests seated in the room.
Very disappointing. Menu on website not available at restaurant. Cuisine sort of all over the world map - no focus. Large portions but unappealing presentation. Worst clam chowder I have ever had. The food is more like what one would expect in a diner. Service is excellent but can't make up for the poor dining experience.
This cozy restaurant was very convenient to our recent visit to an exhibit at the Mystic Seaport Museum. We enjoyed a pleasant lunch, with friendly, efficient service. Our chowder and fish taco's were delicious. I would recommend a visit.
Great service and a fun place. Tavern is very atmospheric and the Friday night entertainment was terrific. The hand-held portions are very large - almost enough to share .
Service was spot on. Server had six tables plus the bar and took care of everyone quite nicely. Ample portions of food. Some of the best fries I've had in Mystic. Looking forward to a return visit.
Perfect place for lunch after visiting the Thompson Building next door.
I checked off we were celebrating a birthday. No mention from anyone.
My hot lobster roll was so saturated with butter that it fell apart. It was hard to eat.
We ordered bread pudding and was disappointed that banana bread had been used instead of traditional bread. Banana taste was over whelming.
Husband really liked the port belly special.
Great venue. Food was good -the restaurant is a pleasant place to have lunch. The wait staff courteous but best of all the noise level was wonderful. Quiet and easy to have a conversation.
Went here for New Year's Eve dinner and everything was exceptional. The food, the dining room and the service. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great dining experience.
For New Years Eve, my wife and I went to Latitude 41 - we loved everything about the meal and experience. The clam chowder was excellent, the salad was big enough for 4 to share, let alone the two of us, and my Filet Mignon wrapped in Prosciutto was beautifully presented and tasted even better! We’ll make sure to come back more often, using Open Table to check for availability; it’s so disappointing to go to a great Mystic restaurant in the Summer only to be told there’s a 1-2 hour wait.
What a great place to have dinner with your significant other. Awesome service and Excellent food. There wasn't a morsel left on our plates.
We were excited to try this restaurant as we were in town for a show at Foxwoods. The ambience is nice but the food was lacking. We ordered the flat bread appetizer, cod tacos, and the mahi-mahi fish of the day - none of the 3 were memorable.
everyone was extremely nice--a very pleasant ex perinea---food very good---service good--we will be back
An extensive list of appealing choices on the menu, friendly, attentive but non-intrusive service and the most convenient location on the Mystic Seaport Museum campus right next to two excellent art exhibitions, we chose to have lunch, dinner and then lunch the next day at Latitude 41. There was just no reason to try another restaurant!
The warm lobster roll was excellent. Service was erratic.
Delicious meal! Lovely dining room in historical building. Convenient location. Will definitely return.
The food was quite good and our waiter was excellent. There was a problem with the hostess in seating us, remembering our last name and seating us in a large dinning room that was only half full. She was very elderly and the job seemed too much for her, in my opinion. Very nice spot by the Mystic River. Too bad it will be torn down to make room for a much larger restaurant and hotel as the present building is very quaint and stately.
It was very busy night because most of staff was attending employee wedding. Quality of food excellent but disappointed that they brought out substitute soup without asking preference. Other than that service very accommodating! It was a very nice dining experience!
The live music was very nice, and our food was great, but the waitperson was . . . loud. Wanted to be the center of attention? Trying to be the star of her own sitcom? We've been here a few times, but it's been better in other visits.
Ate in pub. Bartender had too many customers. Should have had waitress to help her. Not good wine selection.
Food and value were good, ambiance ok, service slow.
Waiter was awesome
Good location next to the Mystic Seaport. Food was good and the staff friendly and accommodating.
Hostess was not friendly
Chicken kimono too much potato not
Overall, this was a marginally disappointing experience. The food was good but the receptionist and waitress were, while not rude, cool and somewhat impersonal. When I made the reservation on-line, it asked me if this was a special occasion. I indicated that it was our wedding anniversary. No mention was made of this when we were there. If they didn't care, why did they ask? The final bill was pricey; I don't mind paying if the atmosphere and experience warrant it. I can't say that it did. To sum up, they did nothing wrong, but I guess I wanted this to be more memorable than it turned out to be.
We had an early reservation and no one was at the front desk for at least 5 minutes. We were seated finally at a lovely table by a window. The waitress was prompt and efficient. The food we chose was delicious and brought to us in a reasonable time. However, both meals were lukewarm and I sent mine back. The kitchen did an excellent job of reheating and replacing part of the meal with fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere and relatively quiet which is important to me. I would recommend eating there!
We were promptly greeted and seated at a lovely window table. Service was excellent. My date had scallops which were perfectly cooked however, I had beef wellington which was overcooked.
This was one of the best meals I have had. I went with my Mom and sister and both their meals were amazing too! The inside atmosphere wasn’t anything crazy, but the food alone is worth the trip!
Had a wonderful lunch in the tavern at Latitude 41! Our waitress was outstanding - friendly, professional, and efficient. My husband and I enjoyed warm, crisp bread followed by their creamy New England clam chowder. After this we were delighted with bacon wrapped scallops and a crisp, fresh salad. Perfect lunch on a windy, fall day in CT
great food, atmosphere and service. Just wish they had more vegetarian options.
