LaSalle Grill, a modern American Bistro featuring steaks and chops and seafood cooked over a live hardwood fire, is born of the dream of experienced restaurateur Mark McDonnell. Like the restaurant’s namesake, noted French explorer, Robert de LaSalle, McDonnell set out to explore the uncharted waters of downtown South Bend, Indiana. LaSalle Grill has set the standard for fine dining in South Bend since 1991

LaSalle Grill is committed to providing guests with unrivaled hospitality and excellent service, great atmosphere, an award-winning wine list and, most importantly, delicious cuisine that is artfully and dramatically presented.

The Grill has been presented with the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award every year since 1996. The wine list is also exceptional with many bottles priced under $75.00. The list has also won the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence sine 2023.

LaSalle Catering is the off-premise catering arm of LaSalle Grill. LaSalle Catering specializes in all sizes of catered events in a 60 mile radius of South Bend, Indiana. We are particularly adept in executing difficult events in unusual locations. As founder Mark McDonnell likes to say, "difficult is not impossible". It's the little details that count. They make the difference between "a nice event" and "a great party!" At LaSalle Catering & Events we pay attention to all of the little details of your event ... the preparations, presentations and above all the service.

Our first visit here and we cannot say enough about the food! Every course was delicious and even the pickiest eaters (my son) loved everything he tried. Beautiful food presentation, and lovely services.

My husband and I used to love LaSalle but it must have changed hands? Service was average as was the food. Won’t be going back and sad about that.

T.C. made our dining experience very enjoyable! It was my husband’s birthday and we were treated with a personalized menu. The food was so delicious and presented beautifully! We were just passing through South Bend but we plan on coming back just to dine once again at LaSalle Grill!

We received excellent service from our server, Tia. The food quality was very good. While known for their steaks, we decided to order several appetizers to share and we were not disappointed.

The Tile Fish with lentils was EXCELLENT. Well prepared. The fish was moist, the sauce was perfect (not too salty, not too much cream), and the lentils were cooked to perfection. The cocktails and wine were very enjoyable and refreshing. The only complaint would be the crab cakes had too much filler and there weren't enough "chunks" of blue crab (difficult to do but a great restaurant should make sure it happens). The crabcakes relied heavily on the excellent sauce that came with them. Overall experience was great and clearly LaSalle Grill is one of the best restaurants in the South Bend area. Great location, too.

A wonderful meal and terrific service marked our evening last night at The LaSalle Grill. Please keep "keeping on" as you provide fantastic food and spectacular service to the people of Michiana and visitors to this "hidden gem" located in downtown South Bend,IN.

Our meal was good. The menu is underwhelming and a little boring but the food was good. Service was great. The restaurant looks a little tired.
