New management and updated menu. Everyone is welcoming, attentive and accommodating. I’ve always loved the chips and salsa, and the shrimp enchiladas are my favorite. Casey’s Cupcakes makes specialty cupcakes for this restaurant., must have! I’ll be back soon with friends to enjoy the beautiful patio!

If you are looking for Mexican food go to El torito I’m sorry but this food was very lackluster and we also received food that went bad. Disappointing for being a Mission Inn restaurant.

We started out great! Joely was extremely accommodating when we ran into friends and needed to change our reservation from 4 to 7 people. Our server Brittany was wonderful. The kitchen must be under staffed. The food sounded great, as did the drinks, but in reality the drinks were watered down and the food was disappointing. I ordered fajitas and they came without onions, just all peppers. When I inquired about it our poor server said the kitchen was out of yellow or white onions. They have grocery stores in the area. The rice and beans weren’t good either. Makes me sad because we used to really enjoy our experience there. Probably won’t return.

We were told there was a problem in the kitchen so we waited more than an hour for our meal which was sub par. The staff was great and fully understood our frustration however it was out of their control. Not sure when or if we will return.

The great: The ambiance and service is great. Beautiful location and the service is friendly. The not so great: very overpriced for the value. Small $15 drinks (like 4 sips) and my food seemed to have been sitting for awhile as was lukewarm and not fresh. Family of 3 was $60/ea at the end plus tip was over $200

This place has gone downhill since our last visit to California several years ago. The margaritas are more expensive but now served in water glasses instead of the margarita glasses they’ve used for years. 1/3rd the volume, higher prices. The food quality was poor, the prices high, and the carne asada was just a piece of uncured and un marinated steak. There’s other choices for good Mexican food; we’ll go there. On the whole, so disappointing.

Well, first, keep in mind that this is an outdoor restaurant. It was an extremely hot day, and so it was very hot. Secondly, it was extremely low service. It is only one hour to get our food delivered to the table. The staff was gracious, worked to accommodate the heat, But the food truck is very long time to get, and in light of the inclement weather the slowness of service was particularly difficult

Awful service barely saw our waitress. Salsa is mediocre. Food was way too salty. We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas. Do not go here to celebrate anything by the way because they don’t care. It’s was mine and my wife’s 1 year anniversary and we stayed at the mission inn which was a beautiful stay but unfortunately chose this for our dinner. “Should have went to the steakhouse” is we said all night lol

The margaritas were smaller than they used to be and mediocre. The service started out great but then became almost non-existent. Never received a refill of our water and I had to ask several times for some ice. Our server seemed very distracted after the first few minutes. Not what I expect from the Mission Inn.

Luis our server was perfect as always. Ambiance was also perfect. We started coming here 25 years ago and have seen so many changes over the years. Unfortunately they are not for the better. The ambiance and service remains mostly the same, (we miss the Mariachis) but the menu options, quantity and quality of the food have declined and the prices have increased tremendously. It used to be large portions of real authentic Mexican cuisine, now it tastes like warmed up food out of a can! The rice was okay but the black beans Lacked flavor. My wife’s cheese enchiladas weren’t edible, it was like a block of cheddar cheese inside of tortillas that were under cooked. The cheese wasn’t melted and was still like a brick. Many years ago Las Campanas used to have a Margarita machine with delicious blended Margaritas served in a huge Margarita glass but unfortunately the machine broke and they never got it fixed and just got rid of the machine. For many years we asked if they would get a new Margarita machine and was always told no. Today at our visit Luis informed us that they got a new Margarita machine. Luis told us up front that they no longer have the big Margarita glasses and the Margaritas aren’t quite the same as the old ones. We ordered 2 Margaritas and unfortunately they were not good and in a very small narrow glass and cost more than the delicious ones in the gigantic glass. We moved away from Riverside many years ago but always stop by when we are in the area. Unfortunately, we will probably not dine here anymore. Very disappointed!

The restaurant is amazing, the hostess was so so it was drizzling out and she sat us on a wet table with no umbrella, as she sat us she picked something off one of our wet plates, I went to ask if she could move us but she ignored me and I approached a server walking by and he immediately reseated us in a dry area. The food was amazing, our server was fantastic and we left very satisfied with our experience despite the start of how our service started. We’d definitely go back.

We love Las Campanas. Always nice. I did give 4 stars instead of 5 because for the price some things were missing. We had to ask for water refills and although we told them we were there for two birthdays, they offered us nothing to celebrate.

We enjoyed a great meal. Our server Ernesto was excellent as well as the support staff. We stayed at our seats for a good while after eating and were allowed to talk without being rushed.

Food was absolutely horrible, the bald waiter was slow & very neglectful , The margaritas came out, halfway though our dinner and tasted lousily, what Mexican restaurant, serves a margarita in a tall thin ugly glass? The steak fajitas were chewy & completely tasteless, Guacamole had no flavor and needed salt. The quality of the food, has completely fallen of the map. Our used, Dirty dishes were left in front of us until we were ready to leave.

Great service! My picky eaters ate salsa for the first time and loved it. The food was great and I enjoyed our margaritas. Great ambiance as well. My only hiccup was there is no changing table in the bathrooms which I usually don’t need but of course I needed it today, so I had to use the floor.

Restaurant is under new management, unfortunately for us. We sat 15 minutes at our table without service. We had to ask another waiter for help. Margarita was served in a different regular looking glass, not the usual type of glass. It also tasted different. Manager said it has “less sugar”. Also, You are charged $5.00 for each extra chip basket. We used to get them free. (Manager said they always charged but not true.) Salsa tastes worse. Food not as good as it used to be. But the outdoor garden environment is nice.

We loved the outdoor patio ambiance, however, the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The margaritas were fine, not memorable, and expensive. Our calamari appetizer and the crème brûlée dessert were delicious. Our meals were very disappointing.

Very disappointed in margaritas..very small now and no more flavors like blood orange. Who serves a margarita in a tall thin glass? I feel management ent may have changed or something. Far less crowded than other visits and then to limit our stay to 1.5 hrs isn’t cool…although we were ready to leave because of the disappointment. One group next to us looked at the menu and left..said they weren’t feeling it. Do better Las Campanas.

Chicken enchiladas not good like in the past. Guacamole had no flavor. Had to wait extra long for my margarita (restaurant was empty).
