The well-lit kitchen dining room was set up with 2 large tables where I sat among 20 people from various states and countries. Chef Amy, the vivacious owner explained the history of Creole cooking and the other chefs demonstrated the cooking techniques and we all participated in preparing our own meals. We had good wine and the recipes were delicious, creative and easy and everyone played as much as they wanted to. The menu is fixed each evening, but we all enjoyed the pickled strawberry salad, shrimp and saffron grits and pots de chocolate. Everything there is fresh and local and it's a true New Orleans experience.

This place was amazing. The chefs and sommelier were passionate about their craft and were enthusiastic about sharing it with their guests. This is not a typical restaurant. Go prepared to participate and learn about cajun and creole cuisine. If you consider yourself a foodie this is an opportunity to have the experience of a life time.

Langlois is an awesome treat for locals and visitors alike. You can sit back and enjoy a meal with your dinner companions or participate as much as you like in preparing the meal. We learned a ton about cooking and especially about LA cooking, but after the salads and appetizers had been prepared, we hung out drinking wine for the rest of the meal and chatted with others at our table. Some people cooked the whole time. Everyone had a blast! Can't recommend it highly enough.

We've done a lot of cooking classes, some full hands on, some not at all. This was a great learning, eating and fun evening with a little bit of participation thrown in if desired. The chefs were fabulous, entertaining and taught us a few new things. The food was delicious, I can't wait to try the recipes at home. Even if you don't like to cook, it's a great way to spend the evening in a wonderful, intimate environment. It's a must do!

If you have been to the best restaurants in NOLA, you might have missed this one. It is newish and the concept, food, staff, and decor are not to be duplicated! Just go, my wife and I have dined in all the great cities of Europe, NYC, SF, and maybe , just maybe have not had a dinner as unique and fun as this. Check it out!

If excellent, local food isn't enough for you, go to Langlois where you can hang out in the kitchen and learn from the chefs about the local cuisine and making the dinner you'll soon eat. Or just hang out in the kitchen with your wine and watch. We had so much fun at Langlois, I wish this kind of thing were available everywhere.

I was excited to dine at this highly rated restaurant. However, I was not happy with the menu which consisted of a pickled cauliflower salad, schnitzel, spaetzle and collard greens. I guess it was my fault for choosing a night with that menu, but it's hard to get a reservation there, so I took it. I did enjoy watching them cook, and chatting with the other guests, but I believe it's too pricey for what you get. The wine list was overpriced, as well, so the tab for two at the end of the evening was $300 including tip. I expected more of a gourmet menu that I would actually want to try to cook at home. For the money, I would have been better off dining at a fine restaurant with delicious food.

Got some good cooking tips. But the food was only so-so. It benefitted from hot sauce, and that should say it all. Very disappointed.

We found Langlois as Trip Advisor #1 restaurant, so we booked before our trip to New Orleans. First of all, if you book on opentable, be aware that you have to pay within 48 hours otherwise your reservations will be cancelled. Understand it only has capacity for 16 people, but the cancellation policy is very strict, once you give them your credit card information, you cannot cancel it, but they allow you to reschedule. If you don't live in New Orleans, I would recommend you not to book it, until you are 100% sure that you can attend that evening. We took the hop on hop off bus, and walked around & felt a bit insecure in that neighbourhood. & it is located in the same block where there is a XXX store. We were there early, so they told us to come back later. I would recommend to take the taxi to & from only as it is the neigbourhood to walk around. The name as interactive is quite misleading, as I am really expecting to be cooking all 3 courses with my partner with the chef's instructions. For 12 people, we are sharing only 2 induction portable stove tops. We were taught to make crepes only, which was used for crepe suzette later on finished by the chef. And one guest toss the salad. We did not even know how main course was done. For $99 per person x 2 people + $30 wine pairing per person x 2 people = $260 + taxes & 18% gratuities, with a simple salad, pork chop on beans, and praline, good that she has added the crepe suzette as dessert, otherwise you'll only have 1 piece of praline per person. We went to over 10 smart casual to fine dining restaurants while we were in New Orleans that week, and this $99 is really overpriced. For $99, we were expecting us to be fully participating by cooking every course of our meal at our own cooking station like a cooking class. We went to Emeril's, Antoine, Toma's Bistro & etc, and you can can wine & dine for 2 people under $150, and receive exceptional food quality &service which is half of what we paid at Langlois!
