Restaurants near Yosemite Gateway Motel

All in our party of 8 were very happy with our experience in the Mountain Room. The food was delicious! My husband and I shared the Super Food salad, which was quite good, and then we both got the salmon, which was excellent. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Given that restaurants in national parks are not generally known for fine dining, we were all very happily surprised! Highly recommend!

The historic Ahwanee Hotel was so grand and beautiful. We were greeted by friendly staff from the valet to the host to our waiter Malcolm. The service was outstanding and the food was a perfect variety of selections. My husband tried the prime rib, pork tenderloin, chick pea fritters and prawns. I enjoyed the sea bass, prawns, Ahwanee Salad with pecans, tomato bisque soup and lemon square for dessert. The piano music in the room was beautiful and not intrusive. Everything about our dinner at the Ahwanee hotel was perfect! I would highly recommend it.

This dinner experience was unparalleled! All of it was magnificent beginning with the personal call from the chef early in the day to the beyond polite and attentive servers (and the owner) - all willing to engage in a bit of story telling about their own local experiences, to the amazing many course Spring Tasting Menu that included lamb, halibut, steelhead, squab, wagu tartar, and several other delicious delicasies along with a wonderful wine selection personally attended by their specialist straight from Healdsburg (he was visiting - lucky us!). There was time to linger, and the scenery was truly stunning. Even the recent fire did not mar their views! Don’t miss this amazing experience. We will return for more in the future!!

We LOVE coming up here and make sure this is the restaurant we always come to.... tho i wish on a slow night 4 ppl could use a gondola outside. Loved our waiter Mitchell, ask for him. He's excellent, more important everyone is great....ooh, really really good bartenders!

Wonderful Mother’s Day brunch! Food and service were both excellent. Beautiful set-up and harpist playing added a special touch. We’ll be back again.
