Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018.     Great food in a lovely place overlooking the river. Wait staff attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the seasoned fries and mushrooms with our steaks, scallops—delicious! Dessert: the chocolate cake was outstanding! Easily shared by 4 of us.

    Food and service was excellent. Very nice wine list, with a great variety. All serving staff was on top of everything. We had the calamari — a generous portion of fried deliciousness. I highly recommend the Duroc pork chop; it was some of the best pork I have had. Again, a generous portion; next time we would share it. I took over half home. My husband was happy with the lobster tortelloni. The Chianti was fabulous — Lamole di Lamole Maggiolo Chianti Classico. No room for a dessert. We will be back. I want to try the salmon, the arancini, the pizza….
