Our second ever HopCat location opened back in 2013! Located right outside of Michigan State University's campus and around the corner from the MSU Union, this location features multiple TVs to make sure you’ll have the best seat in the house to catch the Spartans. Beggar's Banquet has been making folks in East Lansing, Michigan beg for more since 1973. Not that the servings are small, but because you just don't want to stop experiencing one delicious menu item after another. It actually got its name from the proprietor's favorite Rolling Stones album that was released in 1968. The American cuisine at Beggar's Banquet is full of comfort food but with an elegant twist here and there. Options are plenty on the lunch menu, dinner menu, daily brunch menu and Sunday brunch menu. One notable item is the smoked salmon cake platter. The salmon is house-smoked then formed into three New England-style cakes, each with a different flavoring for variety that goes beyond anything you have ever had. In addition to American items, you'll also adore the "south of the border"options that Beggar's Banquet has to offer.

    My brother and I had a very nice meal at Mitchell's, with excellent service from Djoachim. I really liked the ginger salmon, and my brother enjoyed his market trio. We had a comfortable booth in the main dining room, and it was pleasantly quiet. The booths offer a semi-private space where you can easily converse. I always enjoy coming to this location. The food is very good, the service excellent, and it is easy to park right nearby. I look forward to my next visit to this restaurant.

    Amazing as always; the restaurant itself is beautiful and stylish, the menu has several options for all palates, and service was excellent as always…great night and opportunity for us to enjoy some wines and dine with old friends and catch up - would absolutely recommend and visit again!

    Great waitress. Drinks were good. Garlic parm sauce was super super hot. Doesn’t normally taste like that. A few of us could not eat boneless with that sauce.
