Restaurants near Weston Playhouse

Heading to an event at Weston Playhouse, so we needed a place that was easy, basic and fast and JJ Hapgood fit the bill. Enjoyed sitting outside and watching families enjoying themselves. There's a space for everyone with a bar indoors and a few 4 tops. Larger communal tables, also indoors for larger groups, and finally the terrace outside where we sat w/ tables for 4 and 6 and hightops! Service was efficient, food very good and as busy as they were, we were in and out in just over an hour, perfect! This is new ownership minding the store and I think they truly deserve a chance to re-establish this venerable Peru local! Give it a try!

A wonderful dining experience! We enjoyed fine food and great wine in a pleasant VT patio setting with outstanding music by Sammy Blanchette.

Food and service was good but I always expect great there. Lobster roll did not taste like it was fresh from the ocean. House maple dressing did not taste like house maple dressing. It was all just okay.

Service was friendly and swift. We were delighted with the food. The cauliflower app was very tasty, as were our entrees.

As usual we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Red Slate!!! We always have a great time, a delicious meal and we leave looking forward to our next visit!
