Restaurants near University of Pennsylvania

We love Parc. On our most recent visit we were there for lunch, everything we had was delicious, and our waitress was the best. We were in Center City Philadelphia to go to the Christmas Village and went there for lunch first. We sat by the window across the street from Rittenhouse Square park and it was just a perfect day. There weren’t many people there at first, but then the restaurant quickly filled up with what looked like mostly people celebrating their Christmas lunch. It was a very festive atmosphere. Parc is a great place to go around the holidays and really any time.

Oysters were great! Bananas Foster Waffles was great, the waffles themselves were underwhelming. The Crab Louie Salad was good, lots of crab for each bite. Could have had a little more flavor. Overall, ambiance and service were perfect. Wonderful date destination.

We were a party of 8 for brunch and had a table in our own area (surrounded by games!). Food was great; something for everyone.

I love this spot . The ambience and customer service are why I do. We sat at bar this time for our food & drink. It was decorated for the season & was very cheerful. Whenever we are in West Philly , this is our go to place .

We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our waitress came over within 2 minutes of us sitting down (hadn’t had a chance to select drinks or food) and brought water. We don’t see her again for another 10 or so minutes. After ordering, we waited another 10 minutes for my drink and had to request my husbands drink again. The lavender martini was delicious but tasted heavy on the orange with little lavender to taste. We ordered wood fired pizzas (sausage/pepperoni and the short rib). They were both tasty but each slide of the short rib pizza had about 1 bite of short rib…was heavy on the mushroom and onion. I suggested the chef spread the love of the short rib more throughout the pizza. We did list that we were celebrating our birthdays but there was no recognition of it (not even a Happy Birthday upon arrival)…not sure what the point was of listing this. Overall, the experience was ok but for $70, wouldn’t say it was entirely worth it.
