Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. The open pass from the kitchen allows guests to see our kitchen in operation and all this leads to creating a lively buzz and great atmosphere.

Served between 2pm-5pm by prior bookings only.The Bar and Snug is a relaxed and super cosy space sticking with the old charm of the Inn which this part of the building offers. It has an impressive wood burning stove and is dog friendly.

Our pan-Asian menu gathers influences of cooking styles from all around Asia; including Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Penang, Malaysia is an eclectic melting pot of various food styles, with influences from Indonesia, Thailand, India and China, dishes such as soup ramen and stone-baked donburi are two great examples of the depth in flavour, which can be created when different styles come together.
