Bhatti Indian Grill is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of NYC that’s refined yet affordable, upscale and modern. Bhatti opened its doors in 2009 to much fan fare and accolades for the authenticity it brought to indian cuisine. One of the city’s preeminent Indian chefs and restaurateurs, Gaurav Anand of Awadh and Moti Mahal Delux has completely revamped and renovated Bhatti just in time to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Perennially packed and attracting celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Food Network’s Duff Goldman, Bhatti became a popular dining destination due to its delicious, boldly-flavored food, especially kebabs. For its 10th anniversary, Gaurav wanted the restaurant that set him on a successful restaurant career to get a sexier new look, more elevated menu and an adventurous beverage program including an all natural wine list, befitting the next decade.

Since October of 2014 we’ve taken a local and thoughtful approach to our vegetable forward menu and relaxed dining room experience. This allows you to continue to live well while enjoying your food in comfort. We love the idea of indulging in your well being. To that end, our menu pushes beyond vegetables into beef and chicken but with that same focus on healthful, whole foods. Gather around, get comfortable and enjoy on our heated patio.

We love the smith! It’s one of our favorite nyc restaurants. We came directly after our friends engagement and were greeted with complimentary champagne. Highly recommend the arancini appetizer, smith burger and rigatoni, and the toffee dessert!

Another Monday, another outstanding wine dinner with good friends at Hawksmoor! This place is quickly becoming my favorite steakhouse in the city. Start with the excellent cocktails, order the scallops (some of the best I've had - butter and garlic makes everything better), maybe the bone marrow or potted beef with Yorkshire pudding, then split one of the large format steaks - this time the 32 oz rib steak grilled over charcoal to perfection. The $10 corkage makes it easy and (relatively) affordable to delve into some dusty bottles from the cellar (we may have gone overboard, but why the heck not). Service was perfect for our group, and we always appreciate being sat in the somewhat secluded booth in the corner that feels almost like a private room. Goes without saying that we'll be back soon.

We felt rushed for the restaurant to turn the tables. When we pay as much we do at your restaurant and in nyc for an occasion we don’t want to be rushed. Shrimp cocktail was overcooked to be rubbery and not cleaned properly. Very very expensive— won’t be coming back for these reasons.
