‘Motel No Tell’ is a single bar divided into a few different sections, and each section has a similar connection with the theme. It has a 1970s feel with diner style booths, velvet gold-trimmed furniture and Art Deco light fixtures. Whether your birth date was in 1960’s or 2000’s you’re gonna feel welcome. Lavagna opened its doors on February 1st 1999.The restaurant offers casual Italian trattoria fare at moderate prices. The vibe is candlelit, cozy, with an old wood burning oven, exposed brick walls, a pressed tin ceiling and a small wine bar where one can dine also. A wall of French doors swing open in the warmer weather to a seasonal sidewalk cafe of 20 seats.The kitchen concept is to create dishes traditionally Italian, emphasizing fresh, seasonal ingredients and product of the highest quality.The menu highlights include homemade pastas, a wood oven roasted fish for two, roast pork chop, baby rack of lamb and of course the rigatoni with sweet and spicy sausage that has become a classic over the years.The wine list has been a yearly recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2002 and it focuses on hard to find wines from regional Italy along with other international selections.

    This was my 5th time since Gjelina opened in NYC, and by the far the best. Our Server Julia was so incredibly knowledgeable about the wine and food. It made this experience unique and memorable. Will be back!

    In a neighborhood packed with crazy brunch lines and trendy restaurant, Westville is so welcoming! The staff was so friendly and talented, they created a homey atmosphere with tempting and DELICIOUS elevated comfort food and drink

    We were sat immediately, which was great bc the restaurant was busy but didn’t seem that they over book. We met the manager of the New York area and he was wonderful. Kept checking in with us throughout the meal. We each ordered a beer that came from their own brewery. My husband had a chocolate stout from a bourbon barrel and I had a peachy/Chardonnay flavored beer. Then we had the Sunday salad that reminded me of Lou Malnati’s. Each ordered 3 crispy rice and shared the crab and pecorino pizza. We ended with cheesecake and the chocolate torte. Each bite of food was better than the one before. We will definitely be back soon
