We had a nice private table for 2. Just went for appetizers and drinks. Service was good, but they were busy. Husband ordered glass of wine, was initially told they were out, but came back when maitre d found a bottle. The ahi tuna was very salty, and calamari was chewie than normal. We love the steak bites with blue cheese. Was overall a good date night. Have to go early for parking, and reservations are advised.

We always have a great experience here! My girlfriends and I come once a month for tastings and dinner in the bar.

Our recent experience at Bishop’s Post had only one disappointment: that due to predicted inclement weather we didn’t choose to eat on their gorgeous patio, not knowing it was covered. We will rectify this next time as there most certainly will be a next time soon! The service at Bishop’s Post was stellar from the moment we walked in, were warmly greeted and promptly seated for our reservation. Our server Jenny was terrific (and patient as we mulled over the many appetizer, entree and dessert choices). If the blackened halibut is offered when you are there, don’t pass it up because it’s fabulous: cooked and seasoned to perfection. The crab cakes are wonderful also. Looking forward to a return trip to Bishop’s Post soon!

Every meal at our table exceeded our expectations. Pricing is fair for the quality and quantity of delicious food. Our server was Shaq who was amazing….very engaging, friendly and efficient!

Annie Gunn’s Restaurant is consistently good. Great food because they use great ingredients. Great service because they not only recognize diners fund their business, but it’s one of the most important components to consider for retaining and receiving new diners. Word of mouth advertising from satisfied customers is cost effective. Great value for diners who look for consistency. It can be loud in the dining room as the bar is center of the room. The beautiful new patio is likely less noisy, but that seems to be reserved for larger groups and events. We’ve not been offered a table there for a couple of years now. We dine early to escape the noise. Ambiance is tasteful, but dark due to low lighting and windows that remain shuttered. Reminiscent of well - a pub and supper club. Younger diners might not appreciate that. Annie Gunn’s is one of the St. Louis Metro’s best dining options, in our experience.
