Rí Rá is located in an historic bank building, designed by Boston based Harper & West, that was completed in 1931. The pub opened for the first time in March 1999, and was extended in 2002 with the addition of the Library area. In February 2012, The Whiskey Room opened its doors. As you enter Rí Rá, you can imagine yourself walking through a door that leads you across the pond to experience the best pubs of Ireland. The pub interiors were salvaged and restored in Ireland prior to being shipped to Vermont. We are proud to showcase a unique and genuine Irish pub in the heart of Burlington.

    Beautiful natural surroundings, architecturally lovely space, impeccable service and absolutely delicious meal. Fresh ingredients and homemade pasta, roasted oysters and a perfectly cooked steak, after unique cocktails made for a wonderful overall experience!

    The food was phenomenal- our family ordered a variety of items from wings and burgers to pork tenderloin and halibut- all of which was delicious. We all raved about our dishes and shared bites with one another. We were disappointed with the service. It took a very long time for the server to welcome us and take drink orders, no one checked in after we received our meals and we had to ask for more water multiple times. It was just a bit of a mismatch in terms of quality of food and lack of attentive service. I would still recommend Plate- considering they could have had an off night or were short staffed the night of our visit.

    Best place to eat close by. The menu is diverse enough without being overwhelming the staff and building are authentic and I was able to be seated with 8 people within 10 min of my seating time.

    Sugar Hill Inn is a great destination, we had dinner on the porch, beautiful night great food, service, chef Val is still putting together great meals. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in for a great treat.
