Located on Charleston's Upper King Street, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves rustic Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With community tables, an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can accommodate 100 guests for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Negroni cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. The massive wooden doors on Upper King Street are your first indication that Indaco is different from the typical Charleston restaurant. Rustic details continue inside with butcherblock tables, lime-wash walls, and white brick. An open kitchen with nearby community tables lets interested diners keep an eye on the action inside the kitchen. Outside, a patio puts you streetside to watch Upper King Street's vibrant nightlife scene.

Just a great dining experience. The food was excellent. I had a bowl of mussels as an appetizer and seared grouper as the entree. The grouper was the fresh catch. We loved the atmosphere, and our waiter, Dwayne, was terrific. He made it a fun evening. It was our first time to 39 Rue de Jean, but it won't be the last.

We LOVED O-Ku!!! The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We are big sushi gurus and the black magic roll is definitely worth the price! Our waiter, Tyler, made the whole experience wonderful! He brought out sashimi and a dessert on the house for my birthday! I wish I lived in Charelston so I could go every weekend! We will be coming back next time we are in town!

Brenda and I had the most delightful dinner last night at Peninsula Grill outdoor garden. The weather was perfect for being in the outdoor section and the noise level was quiet compared to what it was indoors. Our server Kaj and Manager Judge did their best to take care of us all evening. The Flounder ceviche and Kettle One Martinis started us off with a bottle of sparking water on the side. For main course Brenda had the Fish special with a side of the Swiss chard and I had the Seared Scallops with a side of whipped potatoes. The bread service was awesome as well with delicious salted butter. This was our first time outdoors and loved it. Thank you Peninsula Grill for a great romantic evening and dinner.
